The Erotic Misadventures of the Invisible Man (2003)

A loser stumble upon some invisible magic potion and became.... invisible.

OH NO! what should he do? Why, do the things that all men will do when they are invisible of course....having sex, duh!

Well in a straight man's case, its all about hanging out in the ladies shower room and crashing into lesbians orgies...

If i can be invisible, ill sneak in the cinemas and watch all the movies, why, cos im a real movie addict....

im just kidding... ill hang out in Hotel 81 all the time...

For CIA, spy movies, there are some very good ones I would like to recommend

Breach

breach-poster-1.jpg

Traitor

trailer-traitor.jpg

This is not spy movie but it tells the tumultuous early history of the Central Intelligence Agency which is viewed through the prism of one man's life.

The Good Shepherd

Not really a spy nor CIA but just my favourite actress Charlize Theron acting

I just watched these 2 movies early this week.

Wow, it is better not to make yourself trouble with those uneducated "kids"

"Everyone has a breaking point. Tonight, she reaches hers"

I like the way she kills those boys

While she was out

poster_while_she_was_out_1.jpg

But this one has surprised ending

Refusing to let anything spoil their romantic weekend break, a young couple confront a gang of loutish youths with terrifyingly brutal consequences

Just to say that the movie AVATAR is really entertaining. Watched in 3D and the effect is stunning. In one scene, when the forest was on fire, the sparks and dust from the fire seems to float out from the screen. The planet's forest scene was unlike any thing we seen and its awesome. It reminded me of my first scuba diving trip - the colours & amplitude of the corals, the plants, the fishes fills one senses to the max.

In contrast, the STORMS WARRIORS was a total let down. Poor acting, lousy scrip adds regret to the money spent.

Totally agreed with you. I saw both movie and I think Avatar is awesome. It also send across a message that human and the nature is a cohesive cycle. We need to respect each other to survive, so we have a balance eco system.

I just caught the 4am movie slot at Cineleisure this morning ... Amazing graphics ... Good storyline ... :thumb:

Avatar has just proven that movie making has gone into a different level. I felt like I was inside the screen the whole time while watching the movie. The effects are beyond imagination and unbelievably spectacular! Four thumbs up (including feet) to James Cameron! :-)

I just watched this movie today ... never feel regret with James Cameron movies  .. even I am not a fan of Sci-Fiction movie ...

As IMDB says :

"Avatar is a beautiful piece of film and a true event. It does exactly what cinema was always intended to - it takes us away from our problems and worries for a few hours and gives us memorable images which will undoubtedly and deservedly enter into the cultural lexicon to stay for the foreseeable future"

It must be seen, can not be described :thumb:

After a 12 years wait, James Cameron rewarded us another blockbuster since Titanic.

Currently "Avatar" is the MOST expensive movie ever made, and I must say the money is well spent. James Cameron brought out a vivid and lush world of Pandora. Every flora and fauna were created stunningly and who could forget the beautiful neon light forest.

When I first saw the trailer, I wasnt that impressed but the end movie was a worthy ride. While the CGI was top notch, James let his characters and its world took the center stage. Viewers were immediately engaged in the made believed world.

The plot was rather straight forward and simple, one look at the trailer and you can form the whole plot, but what set Avatar different from other movies that depended only on the effects was the strong characters development.

P/s: Whatever you do, watch this in 3D, the effects and images were simply breathtaking!

As with any movie, everyone will have their own feel about the movie after watching it and unless you can say that you and the reviewer have exactly the same taste in everything and therefore you will like a movie or not because someone else said it was good or not, then you must watch the show.

THE CGI is TOP NOTCH!

The story is nothing new. If you watch movies a lot, and you are the type whose mind wanders while watching a movie, trying to figure out where you have seen something before, then this movie may do that to you. I am probably not the first person to tell you the plot has been overused. But exactly how much originality are you looking for in the cinemas today?

And it is James Cameron. Have you not heard of Titanic, Terminator 1 and 2 and Aliens (the sequel)? You just have to watch it lah... The guy has to make back the money you know... Haha... Joking ok..

But, it is true this may or may not be the best 3d movie so far. I have watched 3 other movies before this; in 3d, and this gave me the most headache.. Haha.. I think my brain is still not calibrated to take in pseudo 3d images for hours on end.

Moral of story: GO AND WATCH FOR YOURSELF!!!

This movie shares the same plot as Pocahontas. 100%! Haha. But told in a more awesome way. Love it.

Anyway, just one thing that disturbed me.... of all the futuristic technology and war machines and robots in the movie, and they cant even built a fcking safety injector in Michelle Rodriguez flying machine? WTF!

may contain spoilers

It probably got short-circuited when the flying thingamagic got hit the first time and I must say me and my friends could not help but giggle during the "sex" scene. Just grab your ponytail and join together. No need for intercourse... So cool...

Oh, and this movie is so women-empowering. I thought the women were portrayed really strongly in this show and the men were either wusses, jerks or like super evil (sucks in breath, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot...).. ok, ok, there were several really like good souls but yup, generally lah...

And there, you know a little more about the movie, wished you did not read this right? Now let us take a trip back in time and slap yourself before you read this. Ahhh... I am being incoherent now, it is time for my afternoon nap...

SPOILERS

The moment i heard Michael Rodriguez was in the movie, i immediately knew she would die heroicly somewhere in the movie.

The directors love to kill her, i mean, every movie shes in, she potray a kick ass tough girl that got killed in the end. It would be surprising if she survived till the credit.

Example: Fast and Furious 4, Resident Evil, Lost, Avatar...

I watched the 3D version on Friday at Filmgarde@Iluma.

Personally, I'd say it's a sweet visual treat throughout the 2hrs 40mins. However, I didn't quite like wearing the bulky specs that long. On top of that, the movie did not tug at my heartstrings at all. In fact, the storyline was rather boring and predictable.

Just my two cents' worth :)

So which cinema have the best option for 3D Avartar.

Don't choose the cinema but choose the seat for 3-D. The further away from the screen the better. If the theatre has seatings arrange that slopped downward towards the screan is a plus. Better still, wear contact lens if you are specky because the 3-D gorgle overlaying your spectacles for 3 hours can be quite uncomfortable. I have to take out the goggle, adjust my specs and than blink blink to relax my eyes before putting it back on for the show.

As for the movie, the graphic is interesting and I like the floating islands and the "jelly-fish-like" floating tree seeds known as Eywa? look very much like underwater world. Don't forget that muscular nasty army commander who wanted to conquer Pandaro, I can't wait to have sex with him and kill him when he is high.

though many say that the plot is predictable

still..... i feel that they presented the plot in a good manner...

sometimes the plot may be the same

but it is how the director and the scriptwriter cooperate, and HOW the story is told and shown to its audience, that differentiates a good movie from a bad one

and Avatar for one, did so splendidly

SPOILER ALERT:

after watching the movie

i wonder what is to happen to The People or Pandora

if the humans want to attack with full force, bows, arrows , and a few beast ain't gonna save them

but then again

its not human VS Pandora

its the fuel-refining Company VS Pandora and nature

i hope that majority of the humans in that movie still have morals and practice Corporate Social Responsibility

Summarized in 1 sentence = Pocahontas meets Smurfs in a tribe cosplay party :P

Being a Cameron film, there were a few hidden messages in this straight forward stories.

Of coz the 1st one is the super obvious save the earth message, and how men's greed is destroying the world

There was also an uncanny similarities with the current middle east war. The part when the Colonial briefing his men before the all-out strike had that "You have valuable materials, if you dont surrender those materials, I will treat you like Terrorists" which is what a common perception on the Iraq War, which was fought due to the oil reserves rather than anti-terrorism. I wondered how the Republicans felt after watching it.

Lastly, the name avatar symbolizes our desire to lead a different and separate life. Hence the popularity of role playing games like 2nd life. For Jake, he was a cripple in real life, but his avatar allowed him to walk freely even flying in the sky. In human world, he was a nobody whereas in Pandora, he was the Hero. The alternative lifestyle was simply too tempting for him!

i remember only 2 of the 3 you mentioned

i can't seems to recall hearing ""You have valuable materials, if you dont surrender those materials, I will treat you like Terrorists" at all...

perhaps i was too engross with the 3D

Er.. the jelly fished like seeds are the seeds of the sacred tree. (the seeds u see in the movie from the tree with dangling long luminous braches.) Eywa is the Na'vi 's Great mother or simply, their goddess. buti agree with everyone that the movie scenes was simply breathtaking. Every flora and fauna/creatures in Pandora is exceptionaly amazin. Thismovie makes me wanna be one of the people too! especially when u can own one ikran(the flyin bird) of ur own for life! no moe aeroplanes! :-P

Theres no point recommend movies that almost everyone already watch. (Take note, Castaway.)

Here is an almost unknown film but truly a masterpiece, nevertheless. One of the best film of 2002 and in my top 50 list.

S1mOne

simone.jpg

Plot:

The career of a disillusioned producer (Al Pacino), who is desperate for a hit, is endangered when his star diva (Winona Ryder) walks off the film set. Forced to think fast as no other actress can bear working with him, the producer decides to digitally create an actress "Simone" to sub for the star--the first totally believable CGI actress. The "actress" becomes an overnight sensation, with a major singing career as well, and everyone thinks she's a real person.

However, as Simone's fame skyrockets, to even winning oscars, he cannot bear to admit his fraud to himself or the world. Knowing the damages and lies he had done and people's plead to see her in person, he tried to bring down her popularity by making her to star in some trashy zoology movie. But those movie became instant cult hit and bring her popularity to a new level. He had no other choice other than to kill her character off......

Anyone watched this movie before? Its unbelievable.

Watch this S1mone movie long long time ago, it has something new but it is not the movie I want to watch again.

I guess many people here watched this movie Protege before, so did I. The whole movie has nothing special but I always remember those words of the leading actor in the end of the movie

"I never understood why people used drugs. After Quin and Fan died, I finally figured it out.

It's all because of the emptiness inside, so what's worse ? ... The emptiness or the drugs?

I really don't know"

Hahaha... Ixmog, u are not the only one having the question mark in you...

After watching the movie twice (once in 3D and one without), i still don't understand how they have sex... hahaha but then most of my friends conclude that they mate with their hair just like how the bond everything with their hair... from animals to trees to their ancestors...

So that also mean they are literally have sex with all of them too isn't it??? hmmmm....

So boring, all hair and no actions... hahaha

One of the quote my friends come out with is very funny

"Make the bond, jade.. Made the bond.... Feel her heartbeat, feel her breathing, feel the legs and most importantly feel her virgina... Can u feel it, Jade? That how u mate in pandora..." Hahaha

Dont be ridiculous u two. Please pay attention of the movie. They have loin cloths to cover their privates dont they? So that means they have cocks and vaginas like humans. The bonding thing is just extra climax to their sex.

omg, it is already available for free download - file size is 619mb

Aiya, the file size where got 619mb only. The movie itself is almost 3 hours and I expect it to exceed 1gb. Don't anyhow download hor, wait kenna viruses and download the wrong thing. I ever downloaded terminator salvation using the lesser mb and ended up, the audio is not english but russian or turkish. Feel cheated after that.

For Avatar, you need to watch it at least once in 3D... the effects were simply breathtaking. For once i think the 3D prices are worth it.

I hope they have the 3D-DVD once released and comes with the 3-D gorgle. It will be stunning to watch 3D avatar at home.
