upshot
If you enjoy ExMachina you may enjoy MORGAN with a somewhat twist to the ending. Not entirely a big fan of Ben Afleck due to some of his virtue signalling PC BS left wing narrative so I was late to watching The Accountant. But I kinda like that flick which was a refreshing mix of action gendre. heh. In the same vein or quirky for romantic which I am not a big fan, I thought Mr Right was quite entertaining. upshot
Over the last few years, there were a series of cooking related shows which were really beautiful and well written. I think the latest I like was Burnt. There also "The Hundred Foot Journey" which is about an Indian family and stars Helem Mirren, Chef which was a personal project by famed Iron Man Director, Ratatouille cartoon, Julie & Julia with Meryl Stree and Amy Adam, Spanglish among my favorites... I love my action stuff hardcore but I too love the artsy and a bit more cerebral ones when there are well made. Edited January 8, 2017 by upshot Quote ** Comments are my opinions, same as yours. The wolf of Wall Street was also a great movie with L. DiCaprio and he was pretty damn good in Revenant 2016 Chick flick sucks for me from the Ghostbuster 2016 to the Divergent Series bullshit....to some extend even Hunger Games. Mainly because they over push the stupid feminist agenda to the point it is totally incredible and too cringe worthy to watch. Or at least to pay money to watch them. I think The Hunger Games actually props up a lot more than just a stupid feminist agenda, which is why the movies did so well at the box office. For me at least, I watched Catching Fire six times in theaters because it was that good. I was a fan the way I am of Harry Potter. If you merely stated THG as an offhand remark, strike me off as an enraged fan haha. My biggest surprises in 2016 would be Kubo And The Two Strings (underrated at box office) and The Purge: Election Year, which was surprisingly fun when I watched with my friend. There were bad surprises like X Men: Apocalypse. Days of Future Past was so so good what happened?? Finding Dory was more good than 'wow!!' the more I thought about it. I also confirmed that I can't relate to Star Wars movies after Rogue One. To those who've watched Arrival, I hope you did it overseas and not through pirating. Some of these movies need our money, and I don't mean the Marvel ones. Cube3
