they cannot allow 17 or heater room or whatever to advertise, so they do it for them via articiles... i'm surprised they dun actually put up the address of such a spa so our apec guests who are PLU dun have to fumble around and look too conspicuous while trying to find the dang place...

The authorities will not do anything. They have realised having these gay saunas around is a necessary evil. Better this than to have sex-starved people cruising the public parks and toilets. And this is why the provision for the existence of saunas in supposedly tight-assed Singapore.

We have 9 saunas. NINE! That is even more than Sydney and Amsterdam COMBINED! Taking into consideration the size of those two cities I mentioned, that is a lot of gay saunas for a 470kmsq island like ours.

So nothing will happen. No raids.

Public toilets as their names applied, are meant for public. To cruise and conduct sexual activities in any of its cubicles is against the laws. Gay saunas are private establishments and therefore almost all ( if not all) their patrons are gays and therefore gay activities in them should be understood among themselves. 5 kinds of drugs found in student

DOCTORS found five different drugs in the body of American exchange student Scott Jared Monat who collapsed and died in his hostel room at the National University of Singapore in March last year.

The 20-year-old was found to have a cocktail of Xanax tranquillisers, the anti-depressant Sertraline, the painkiller OxyContin, insomnia medicine Ambien, and gamma hydroxbutrate, or GHB, a drug which generates euphoria and reduces inhibitions.

At his inquest on Tuesday, forensic pathologist Wee Keng Poh told the court that Mr Monat had also taken alcohol before he died on Mar 4 last year from complications brought on by his reaction to the drugs and alcohol.

Dr Wee said that mixing such medication and alcohol was a dangerous combination.

'These drugs singly or in concert with one another, together with alcohol, could cause a mixed drug reaction that gives rise to sudden heart failure.'

In particular, GHB, a date rape drug which can be abused by club goers, is very dangerous when mixed with alcohol because it can lead to vomiting and a loss of consciousness, he said.
