This is the part that is the issue .... explains how the police decoy in such instances could be said to have given consent (even if non-verbal) to be approached.

It appears to be okay for the police to lie. I feel that It is unethical, that it is unfair.

And I've always wondered what sort of person of character (police) would take on such a convincing role to want to lie, pretend, deceive, bluff another human being.

Are they really proud of what they do? Do they go to bed each night saying:" YES! I looked and acted like a very convincing cruiser and created my own crime to catch. I'm one hell of a good lier" Can't help but wonder if these policemen are gay themselves and are in denial.

Don't get me wrong. I do NOT condone public exposure (both gay and heterosexuals). I believe people need to be better behaved and there needs to be some self control but doing it this way isn't the best. It doesn't get my respect.

I can only say this from personal experience (since I am not a doctor), but I was already having sexual fantasies at the age of eight.

This sounds incredibly young, but when you think about it, some people do start puberty as young as that age.

Once puberty starts, hormones starts to go wild in the body.

Anyway, there are many interesting thing to note about age of consent from different culture. For example, Spain used to have it at 14, until they changed it to 16. Even younger was the age of consent in Iran for girls to be married without parental consent (and by extension, legal to have sex) was 9, until they changed it to 13 in 2002. Pederasty was practiced by several cultures legally, such as the Greeks or Japanese, until the advent of the modern law.

Thus, as we all can see, different cultures, at different times, have different ideas of sexuality for what we think of as children.

In Singapore, the age of consent is 16, but biologically speaking, humans are in their breeding prime in our teen years, around 13-19 years old, if I am not mistakened. Therefore, it is reasonable for a 9 year old to have sexual fantasies.

Nonetheless, despite my rantings, I do not condone sex with people under the age of consent, not out of moral or ethical reasons, but simply out of legal reasons.

Just my two cents worth.

Scary but its true, young boys can initiate adults into having sex.

I remember several years back I had the opportunity to do a documentary short-film about a Library. I was the presenter and the "father" of a ten-year old boy actor.

During the two days of filming, the young boy stood so close as to have body contact and kept on touching my pants, the groin area, the bums and even try to put his hand into my trouser pocket (I wore baggy pleated pants). Off-course, I pushed his hands away as I didn't want any legal problems and am not interested in youngsters, He was very intelligent and knew what he did was not right and he only did it when the crew and his mother were not watching.

It seems that some young people (below ten) already knew quite a bit about sex and can derive pleasure from it.

I think we adults have to be very careful as sometimes we can be carried-away and regret badly later.

Further more, there are some young boys who grew up with their single mother and desperately want to play-play with their

"father". More divorces means more boys "missing" their fathers". So be very careful.

I agree that some boys need fatherly love. Thats why they get attracted to fatherly figures or to those young fathers whose children are aged about their age. When they see these fathers so close to their children, they yearn for such close contact with these "Fathers". Hence, I belive thats the reason why the actor also derived pleasure from having such close body contact with you.

As a teacher for many years, yes there were and still are many indecent proposals by students. Not only from girls but now from boys. Cant really help because they, the students look upon us as their surrogate fathers.

However, in sentencing, High Court judge Kan Ting Chiu said this case was different from the typical sex abuse case in which the adult offender is the one who initiates the sex act. 'One peculiar fact is that the boy is the initiator,' said the judge.

Justice Kan sentenced him to three years' jail and three strokes of the cane on each of the two charges he had pleaded guilty to, with the two terms to run consecutively.

Gay Singaporean charged over sex act in public toilet

A Singaporean gay man was charged Thursday with having oral sex in a public toilet, in breach of the city-state's ban on sexual acts between men.

Tan Eng Hong, 47, is alleged to have committed the offence in March inside the toilet cubicle of a popular shopping mall in the Singapore's business and shopping district.

Homosexuality is not illegal in Singapore, but sex between men is criminalised under the penal code, despite amendments in 2007 which legalised oral and anal sex for heterosexual couples.

The code encompasses "any act of gross indecency" and carries a sentence of up to two years in jail, according to the attorney general's website.

Recent data on the number of people convicted under the code was not immediately available, but figures given by Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng in a parliamentary reply in 2007 showed 185 people were convicted between 1997-2006.

Tan was released on a bail of 8,000 Singapore dollars (5,960 US dollars) after his case was adjourned to September 27.

The 38-year-old Singaporean was also charged with possessing utensils used in drug consumption like a plastic dropper and an empty straw that was stained with methamphetamine.

The drug and utensils were found in a flat in Holland Avenue on May 27 at 12.55am.

Dr Koe faces a jail term of up to 10 years or a maximum fine of $20,000 or both on the charge of drug possession.

On the other charge, he can be jailed up to three years or fined up to $10,000 or both.

Dr Koe told the court that he will claim trial and will be engaging a lawyer.

Possible scenario - Both are gay, and inside cubicle. Security Guard(assuming only 1 doing patrol)bang on cubicle door, 1 guy open door push away security guard and make a dash out of the toilet, the 2nd one probably still in shock, or stunned, so lan lan kana cornered inside the cubicle and get caught. Or, 1st guy open door, push away security guard(but not hard enough), guard grab hold of him, 2nd guy, seize the opportunity to run away while the 1st guy struggle with the guard.

Once it is reported in news, 99 percent guilty. Caught in his house at 12 midnite plus...etc most likely got tip off by someone otherwise must be having some "gathering". What they said was that if consenting gay adults (above 18) do their "thing" in private, the government will not be bothered.

HOWEVER, if an underage person is involved, or is the "act" is done in a public place, eg. shopping centre or public pool toilets, parks etc, then the law can be used against them.

Put simply, have sex in your home, gay saunas or transit hotels and no one care. Where else, having sex in public places, whether you are gay or straight is unlawful.

So please, if you want to be a gay activist, by all means go ahead. But at least know what you are actually bothered about.
