This kind of activity has stopped in many countries. Here in London UK, it was the same as you describe for many years. Not now.

There are so many good places for gays to cruise in a modern city. And there are so many ways to meet new people without wasting time. The Internet has changed everything.

Man jailed for keeping mum about HIV status

Yet another man has been jailed for 18 months for keeping mum about his Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) status before he had sex with another.

The 53-year-old unemployed man admitted to engaging in penile-anal sex with a man at his flat in January 2010 without informing him of the risk of contracting the virus from him and getting him to agree to accept that risk.

The accused, who has two other similar charges considered, cannot be named as there is a gag order.

The court heard that the accused, who is a divorcee, was diagnosed to be infected with HIV in March 2005.

Former teacher jailed for molesting students

A former teacher was jailed for 10 years and ordered to be given six strokes of the cane on Monday for molesting two boys and performing oral sex on an eight-year-old in school.

The 38-year-old had admitted to two counts of molesting an 11-year-old and eight-year-old and two counts of penetrating another eight-year-old in 2009.

The court heard that in early 2009, the accused saw the 11-year-old in school and took him to a computer lab, offering him a chance to play with his PlayStation Portable (PSP).

He molested the victim as he was playing with the PSP. The victim did not say anything as he was afraid of the accused.

Man on life term allowed to attend mum's wake

A man who is serving a life sentence was on Wednesday allowed to attend the wake of his mother, who collapsed just when she was about to visit him in jail.

Former masseur Lim Ah Liang, 33, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007 for stabbing his agent Ho Kien Leong, who ran a massage service.

The two men got into a fight in 2005 after Lim allegedly switched to another agent after a falling-out.

Lim, who performed 'extra' sexual services for his clients, was also involved in a relationship with Mr Ho.

This was in the Straits Times website today. Does anyone know anymore about this story?

Stabbed 13 times and whacked to death

Teacher. Masseur. Pimp.

That's the downward spiral Mr Ho Kien Leong's life took before he met a violent end.

His killer, Lim Ah Liang, who brutally stabbed him 13 times, said in his police statement that it was Mr Ho, 37, who had first come at him with a knife.

Said Lim, 28, his one-time lover: 'He gave me two options, either I make love to him or work for him.'

After which they had a fight in which Mr Ho was killed.

The sordid details were revealed when Lim pleaded guilty to culpable homicide and was jailed for life.

Mr Ho's highly-decomposed body was found on 22 Sep 2005 in his flat in Block 79 Indus Road, nine days after he was killed.

Mr Ho ran a business that provided massage services, court papers stated.

Sometime in March 2005, the two men got to know each other, and Lim soon began working as a masseur for Mr Ho.

Both men also often engaged in homosexual acts at Mr Ho's flat.

Besides massages, Lim also provided sexual services for clients who paid $50 to $80 each time.

Mr Ho took a commission of $14 per client.

HIGHER COMMISSION

But in June 2005, Lim stopped working for Mr Ho because the latter wanted to raise his commission to $20.

However, Lim appeared to have a change of heart and tried to rejoin Mr Ho in September that year.

The two men met in Mr Ho's flat at 6pm on 13 Sep 2005 to negotiate the terms of Lim's employment.

While talking in Mr Ho's bedroom, they began quarrelling.

The victim insisted on a higher commission and accused Lim of having another pimp.

Lim denied the accusation, causing an enraged Mr Ho to grab a knife from the kitchen.

Pointing the knife at Lim, Mr Ho told him to come clean about working as a masseur for another 'agent'.

It was at this point that Mr Ho gave the 'work for me or make love to me' option.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Shahla Iqbal told the court that the two men then began fighting.

Lim snatched the knife and stabbed the victim in the chest, back, right forearm and head.

Mr Ho tried to get away at one point, but Lim caught up with him, grabbed him by the shirt and stabbed him a few more times.

And when Lim tried to move away from the victim, Mr Ho grabbed his legs.

The killer then took a black metal frame that was beside the wardrobe and used it to hit Mr Ho's head and hands till he became motionless.

Realising what he had done, Lim washed his hands and changed into clothing that he took from Mr Ho's wardrobe.

He also threw his blood-stained clothes and knife into the rubbish chute before making off with Mr Ho's two handphones, electronic safe, wallet and house keys.

The court heard that within the next three days, Lim gave Mr Ho's identity card, ATM and credit cards to one Gu Chen Lin.

Lim told Gu to pry open the safe, withdraw money using the ATM cards if possible and buy things with the credit cards.

Gu was also given an identity card belonging to one Ms Lee Yean Shan and was told to sell the NRICs.

It was not known how Lim got Ms Lee's NRIC. The two men agreed to share the loot equally between them.

FLED TO JB

Lim then fled to Johor Baru but was arrested on 23 Sep 2005, after the police traced his whereabouts through his handphone.

Pressing for a deterrent sentence, the DPP pointed to the violent and relentless manner in which the injuries were inflicted, adding that Lim showed no remorse and had not called for help.

Psychiatric reports showed that Lim suffered from dysthymia, a chronic disorder requiring long-term medication for depression.

The DPP said: 'The psychiatrist is unsure if Lim will comply with treatment.

'If he does not take his medicine, he can act impulsively and be a danger to himself and others.'

Pleading for an imprisonment of 10 years or less, Lim's lawyer, Mr Anand Nalachandran, said his client had an unhappy childhood.

Mr Anand said: 'Lim was beaten by his father for no reason when he was 7 years old. This tragic background caused psychological damage.'

The lawyer added that Lim was fostered out soon after his birth and returned to his parents when he was 7 years old.

Mr Anand also said Lim is responding well to treatment.

But Justice V K Rajah agreed with the prosecution and imposed a life sentence, saying that Lim might benefit from the controlled prison environment.

Nobody was at home when The New Paper visited Lim's home in Toa Payoh, but a neighbour described him as a quiet man.

The neighbour, who gave his name as Mr Lim, said: 'He keeps to himself and rarely speaks to us. We never thought he would get into trouble.'

Cleaned up the mess, throw away the evidence (though not very smart) and took off with "two handphones, electronic safe, wallet and house keys." he then asked someone to pry open the safe, to withdraw money from the ATM plus charged as much possible into the credit card.

And then he fled to JB.

Pitiful? tell that to the victim's mom, who was reported to be devastated after the incident.

i am sure everyone has a good and kind heart deep beneath us but circumstances and experiences change us. lack of guidance and lack of support also plays a part.

　　大巴窑1巷一带组屋，男妓杀淫媒谋杀案被告“金毛狮王”的母亲，疑想念儿子伤心过度，在前往监狱探访儿子途中时，突然暴毙。

　　死者林钻宝（60岁，洗碗嫂）在组屋外的走廊，突然倒地不起，之后当场宣告不治。

　　据报道指出，死者是2005年，男妓杀淫媒谋杀案的被告林亚亮的母亲，林亚亮被指，在印度士街第79座11楼的租赁单位内，13刀捅死当时37岁的男友何健良，判处终身监禁。

　　死者男友陈先生（70岁，退休人士）告诉记者，死者原本打算到监狱去探访儿子林亚亮，但岂料出门之即，却发生不幸。

　　“她原本要去监狱拿书给儿子，但从昨天开始，就显得焦躁不安。凌晨12点，她还坐在客厅，一直看时钟，说时间要到了，没想到隔天出门，就突然倒地不起。”

　　事发后，陈先生敲门向邻居求助，之后再拨电叫救护车，但为时已晚。

　　“我上前查看时，她已没有呼吸，手指微微发黑。其实，我注意到她不对劲，叫她先去诊所检查，但一切都太迟了。”

　　警方受询时证实，警方在今早7时41分接到通知，案件被列为非自然死亡案处理。

No, those special cases such as HIV+, gay or transgender (female-to-male) prisoners are confined to special cells and possibly restricted social contact with other inmates. I heard that from my friend who had a transgendered prisoner jailed in a special cell for his minor offence.

I had depression before , and it is hellish! I cried everyday, I hated everyone, every things and even myself when there was an attack. I even thought of causing harm to my family. Mentally disturbed man's appeal rejected

SINGAPORE: At seven, Lim Ah Liang was raped by a stranger. A year later, the boy found out that the man he knew as Dad was not his biological father.

Three years later, Lim told a psychiatrist, he dropped out of school where he had been branded an illegitimate child, and helped his mother at her hawker stall.

Later, while serving National Service, he went absent without official leave four times and stole, which landed him in the detention barracks for months.

Two years ago, in a sad and twisted climax to his life thus far, Lim killed his male lover, stabbing him 13 times in a money-related spat.

Mr Ho Kien Leong, 37, died and Lim, now 29, was sentenced to life imprisonment after a court considered psychiatric assessments that recommended the mentally disturbed man be kept in jail to protect society.

On Monday, Lim's lawyer Anand Nalachandran fought in the Court of Appeal for the sentence to be reduced to 10 years, arguing that his family and close friends would be able to take care of him upon his release.

The appeal was turned down.

During the trial in January, Justice V K Rajah had ordered Lim put behind bars for life because of Lim's chronic depression — he might re-offend and should be kept in a controlled environment for a long time.

In 2005, Mr Ho had asked Lim to help in a massage parlour business. Lim was to service male customers. They fell out after Mr Ho wanted more than the $14 that Lim gave him out of the $50 to $80 that he collected from each client.

On Sept 13, a fight broke out after Mr Ho brandished a knife, demanding to know if Lim was working for someone else. After stabbing Mr Ho 13 times, Lim fled across the Causeway but was arrested and extradited.

On Monday, Mr Nalachandran appealed to Justices Andrew Phang, Kan Ting Chiu and Tay Yong Kwang to reduce the jail term. Lim's mental state had improved, the lawyer argued, and ten years should be enough for him to recover and rejoin society. But two psychiatrists who examined Lim periodically were not prepared to draw up his post-release "treatment plan", saying it was premature.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Christina Koh argued that life-long imprisonment was necessary to protect the public and Lim. His family was not financially able to take care of him and he could outlive both parents, she added.

A bespectacled Lim looked downcast after his appeal was rejected. His mother, dish-collector Lim Chuan Poh, 54, sobbed but did not speak to her son as he was led away. - TODAY/fa

Police classified the case as using "Criminal Force". According to the paper, using "Criminal Force" refers to a person having body contact with a victim without the victim's permission. Knowing that this will scare or cause displeasure to the victim.

Well, I must say such a thing happens on buses or trains quite often. I was once very annoyed by an uncle in his 50's, what he did what he kept on poking my lower back and butt with one of his fingers non stop all the way from Serangoon rd to aljunied rd.... I was backfacing him....
