Drama and tragedy aside, what the hairdresser want is a normal relationship that is honest and not filled with secrets and lies. Obviously, that is important to him, and the deceased has dragged him along since 2007. They have had a relationship, and to have the deceased say that the is not gay after so many years is just major denial. Imagine if your parents were to say to you after raising for over 20 years that they are not really your parents but someone else's. How would you feel? There is a lot of hurt, betrayal and disappointment between the 2. While I do not condone the violence and the tragedy, it is definitely something that could have been prevented if the deceased is to be more honest with himself and his family.

The advantages to being acknowledged by family and society that you are both in a committed and loving relationship is you never have to lie about who you are, and who your bf/partner is to you. The 2 of you can be actively involved with family life and there is no need to hide. It means no one can use your sexuality to blackmail you or your family. With society, in countries where gay marriage is legal, it means you are recognised as the spouse, and have all legal rights and protection under the law.

By keeping your relationship a secret, when the person you are with is someone you love, and want to spend the rest of your life is seems to make it sound like you are embarrassed or ashamed of your relationship. Think of the times when you are too embarrassed to be seen with your parents. Do you want to feel that way with your bf or partner?

Nvm, almost all westerners have the same views as you. We're just to it already. It's difficult for someone outside of our culture to understand our daily lived realities, which i believe is quite a far distance from the freedom of speech and human rights which you guys have taken for granted for years living in the united states. There is no anti-gay laws there so people do not feel as much obliged to follow the law as though it is their lives and their business.

Man gets 12 years for killing gay lover

Hairstylist jailed 12 years for fatal stabbing

Cracks appeared in their relationship after hairstylist Tan Chee Yeow wanted to be publicly recognised as Mr Tan Chin Siong's boyfriend in 2012.

But the 48-year-old Mr Tan, an assistant vice-president at United Overseas Bank, wanted to keep their relationship low-profile.

He had not told his parents about being involved with another man.

Matters came to a head in August last year when Tan called Mr Tan's mother to tell her about their relationship. Devastated, she told him she would never approve of a homosexual relationship.

Realising that he had made a mistake, Tan panicked and tried desperately, without success, to reach Mr Tan.

When he finally got through to Mr Tan the next day, Mr Tan told him that he was not gay, and that he wanted to get married and have children.

Heartbroken, Tan confronted his lover five days later at a busy walkway near Ang Mo Kio MRT Station.

After realising that the chances of them reconciling were slim, Tan took out a knife and stabbed Mr Tan twice in the chest and once in the back.

After the attack, Tan was heard crying: "I'm sorry, he's my lover... I killed him."

Mr Tan, a permanent resident, died at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) later that morning.

The slim, boyish Tan, now 40, was jailed for 12 years yesterday after pleading guilty to culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

The court was told that the two Malaysians became romantically involved after meeting in Johor Baru in 2007.

Mr Tan later asked Tan, who was originally from Sarawak, to move to Singapore so they could be close together.

But their relationship hit a road block around 2012 when Tan wanted to be publicly recognised as Mr Tan's partner.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Mohamed Faizal Mohamed Abdul Kadir told the court that Tan habitually drank alcohol and had threatened to kill himself on several occasions.

The situation took a turn for the worse on Mr Tan's birthday on Aug 28 last year when they quarrelled after returning to Tan's Yishun flat after dinner.

DPP Faizal said: "The accused started complaining that the deceased had failed to keep his promise to introduce him as his partner to the deceased's family and to help the accused sell his piece of land in Kuching (in Sarawak)."

Mr Tan returned to his JB home by himself the next day. By then, Tan had told Mr Tan's mother about their relationship.

On Aug 31, the day after telling Tan that he was not gay, Mr Tan took the latter to seek medical treatment at Dr Simon Siew Psychological Medicine Clinic. Tan was diagnosed with depression with generalised anxiety disorder and alcohol dependence, which was further aggravated by the couple's domestic issues.

DELAY

Dr Siew asked Mr Tan to delay the break-up by two weeks while Tan started on his medication. But over the next two days, Mr Tan called the doctor three times to tell him that he wanted to split up immediately. He started to ignore his boyfriend's calls and messages from Sept 2.

The next day, Tan went to a supermarket at Northpoint Shopping Centre in Yishun to buy a cook's knife with a 20cm blade. He originally wanted to use it to commit suicide.

On Sept 4, he headed to Mr Tan's home in Ang Mo Kio. Tan took the knife with him because he planned to kill Mr Tan before committing suicide if the latter refused to patch up.

Tan was walking to Mr Tan's flat when he saw him at a walkway near Ang Mo Kio MRT station.

Tan called out to him. When he noticed that Mr Tan looked scared, he told him that he just wanted to pass him some newspapers.

DPP Faizal said Mr Tan took the newspapers and walked away without replying.

"The accused pleaded with the deceased not to behave that way and told him that even if he wanted to break up, he should do it slowly and not so suddenly as he could not take it. The deceased kept quiet and continued walking."

Mr Tan also rejected Tan's repeated pleas to spend time with him, saying that he needed to keep his family company.

Realising there was little chance of reconciliation, Tan attacked Mr Tan with the knife. An unidentified man stepped in and struggled with Tan before kicking the knife into a drain about 10m away.

The police received four calls about the incident, and officers rushed to the scene. Mr Tan was pronounced dead at 9.14am, about 35 minutes after his arrival at TTSH.

For culpable homicide not amounting to murder, Tan could have been jailed for life and caned.

THE NEW PAPER, SEPT 5, 2015

'This is an unfortunate case of love gone wrong'

In a letter read out in court yesterday, Tan Chee Yeow, now 40, described his victim as the person he trusted most and was deeply in love with.

He fatally stabbed Mr Tan Chin Siong, 48, near Ang Mo Kio MRT Station around 8am on Sept 4 last year after their relationship fell apart.

Tan also wrote in his letter: "This is my greatest regret in life. It will hurt me for the rest of my life."

His lawyer, Mr Josephus Tan, told the court in mitigation that this was an "unfortunate case of a love gone wrong".

'NOT A DANGER'

Urging Judicial Commissioner Audrey Lim to sentence his client to between nine and 12 years' jail, he said: "He is not a danger to society and should not be incarcerated longer than necessary."

Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohamed Faizal Mohamed Abdul Kadir asked that Tan be jailed for 12 to 14 years.

He said: "The accused displayed a significant level of premeditation as he had taken the knife along when he went looking for the deceased with the intention to kill if the latter refused to reconcile with him."

Tan's parents and four siblings were in court yesterday when the judge handed down the sentence.

They cried as they met him near the dock. His mother tearfully told him, "I love you", in Mandarin moments before he was taken away.

She told reporters outside the court: "My son is not a bad person and I wish to apologise to the victim's family."

Actually there are plenty of laws that fundamentalist Christians are trying to impose here in the US to persecute LGBT and impose their version of God's word as law. There are states here whereby in certain districts, they do not teach evolution, but creation as truth to children on how the world came to be, and that to believe in science in radical. They believe once upon a time, Adam and Eve and mankind lived with dinosaurs. This is what they want everyone to believe in. There are places where children are taught it is ok to use a gun to murder anyone who is not a Christian etc.

The whole LGBT freedom in the US didn't come about just because people sit around and do nothing. In the US it started in the 60s when a bunch of LGBT people took a stand against NYPD brutality and from there a small voice grew into a roar with several days of riots and street protests. Freedom of speech and human rights is something that is not taken granted but fight for on a daily basis. Anti-gay laws were abolished because a group of people started a movement to fight for their rights and freedom to love.

What's the point of wanting to be recognised by others? Does it make any different?

If he want to get married, wish him all the best as this is what he want in life. Both only live once, let go and you will feel the happiness too...

A moment of foolish that cause him 12 years of freedom in his life... How many 12 years we have in our lifetime?

You are the princess who watched too much Korean drama instead. Have some decency for the dead, karma will repay you with the endings that you curse upon others.

When he's so depressed, do you think he'll have the fun to scheme like you? Or do you yourself need to be that depressed before you understand that it's a mental instability? You should meet with enough tragedy in your life then you'll wake up your evilness.

The deceased was the one who asked the accused to move from sarawak to singapore to be close with him, but the deceased failed to deliver his promises of helping the accused sell his land and recognise him as partner. And later on the deceased told the accused he is straight and wants to get married? Sounds like the deceased is kind of selfish, heartless and irresponsible. Poor accused developed depression and anxiety probably due to all the stress from all these broken promises and failed to delivers.

玩腻了翻脸不认账。If i were the accused i would be thinking now "12 years in prison? I could have used a few more stabs to that pretty face. That's my only regret!"

All the while he has to endure becoming an apprentice to wash people's hair before becoming a hairdresser, while his piece of land in kuching sits there waiting to be reclaimed by the government?

When all the while the emperor sits on his cushy bank job and comes up with marriage excuses when his closet is busted and swiftly dumped the accused?

This is too much for anyone to bear! No wonder the accused developed depression with anxiety.

The deceased is too selfish, cruel and irresponsible.

Guest Karma from previous life

The mum of bastard straight out disapproved and denied their relationship, without having met the accused. She thinks she OWNS her son, who is what, an ADULT and an assistant vice president of a bank????? This is a joke ok. Accused is blind not to realise by then what kind of persons the deceased and family are - freaks of nature! He should have heaved a huge sigh of relief of having realised this while still in his early forties, dumped that poor excuse of a man and gone back to sarawak to open his own salon business with the experience gained on that piece of land that he owns.

So wasted the accused! Whereas to the useless deceased - good riddance!

The photo shows the accused has that "needy" look.  If the above news is true that the accused was betrayed, he can simply walk away and find another one. In his circle of hairdresser, certainly there is no lack of gay around him.  Besides, why no one advised him during his depression?  This show that he is a closeted anti-social gay who think he lived in a palace fantasizing about a happy-ending with his prince-white   What a fatal attraction, I would have just killed and stewed a rabbit, as warning, instead of taking the victim's life.   Anyway,  I hope he has mass orgy with the police in prision and I heard showering is opened concept and man there also masturbate openly.  He sure will have good time looking at those scenes.

Guest 付出未必会得到

I got a feeling the deceased manipulated and made use of the accused's naivety. He refused to help him sell his land as promised because he didn't want to commit? If he had asked him to move from sarawak to singapore, which is a huge commitment by the accused, he himself should have also decided to commit. If he had decided to back out, he should have been honest and upfront about it and not let it drag on for years, wasting the accused's time, prolonging his suffering and allowing his resentment to infest. Who does he think he is, the king? What right does he have to dictate others' life decisions if he refused to to be recognised as a part of it? As illicit lovers, clearly one side had sacrificed himself more than the other. From the mother's behaviour over the phone, can tell dictatorship and selfishness runs in the family. He was wise to want to get to know his family earlier on, but wasn't wise enough (or found it too late?) to let go when he realised it was a mistake from the start, probably due to his depression and all his ALREADY made sacrifices.

On second thoughts, the mum might be worried about his son's career. Maybe she wanted him to take over uob as the bank's president in future? It is still conservative asia, afterall.

The mum wanted to HAVE IT ALL, even when it's not hers to have in the first place. I am talking about sexual orientation. Unless he is bisexual. But even if he is bi, it is his decision who he wants to be with. The mum, not being contented with his son's career achievements, ended up having no son at all.

Leaked video shows HomeTeam NSmen having sex in camp

A leaked video posted at an online forum shows two HomeTeam NSmen having sex in camp.

It is not clear when the video was taken, but it was posted this morning at 4.58am.

The post was captioned: “SCDF NS boys sibeh horny hor”.

Apart from the fact that both men were in uniform, there is no indication of what rank they hold.

The arm badge of one of them suggests that they were from the 2nd SCDF Div HQ.

Both men appeared to be performing the act willingly.

TISG understands that the video has gone viral on Whatsapp chat among SCDF men since 2 days ago.

A source (who prefers to remain anonymous) said that one of the men willingly recorded the act, and that he is readily identifiable in the video which is in circulation via Whatsapp chat.

The leaked video is here: https://streamable.com/6wwg?t=8.9

LEAKED VIDEO SHOWS SCDF NS BOYS HAVING CONSENSUAL SEX IN CAMP

Submitted by farhan on Wed, 28/09/2016 - 3:52pm

Singapore infamous sex forum Sammyboy shared a leaked video of two Hometeam NSmen having sex while they were in camp. Although the video was posted early this morning, it is uncertain when the video was actually taken. The title of the forum thread was "SCDF NS boys sibeh horny hor".

Although both men were in SCDF uniform, their ranks were not reflected but the badge on their uniforms suggests they are from SCDF 2nd Division HQ.

Both men appears to be willing parties while performing the sex act in camp. It is uncertain how SCDF authorities will deal with this latest indiscretion. Alternative news media The Independent Singapore reported that the video had gone viral 2 days ago within private Whatsapp circles and one of the man was easily identifiable.

This is a developing story. The video will not be shared on this platform

I don't see any wrong-doing. What's the fuss about such matured video.  Besides, I don't mind these passionate people sharing their "homecamp-made" video for  gay people to see.  Straight people are just trying to act innocently self-righteous while  preying at prostitute, everynight, behind dark lanes.

i watched the video. nothing much. Face is being mosaiced. It showed him on the receiving end of anal sex. The penetrator is behind and completely out of the screen. No sexual organs were being shown, not even buttocks.

They said in a statement: "SCDF takes a serious view of the matter and has lodged a police report. The police are investigating the matter for an offence under the Films Act."

It is an offence to make, reproduce or distribute an "obscene film" under section 29 of the Act.  not section 377A

FORMER TEACHER JAILED A YEAR FOR SEXUALLY EXPLOITING BOY

Sep 29, 2016 6:00am

He was a primary school form teacher with a sick fascination for boys' underwear.

Colin Ting Fook Mun made a nine-year-old pupil unzip his pants so he could see the boy's underwear.

He also made the boy look at his underwear on seven occasions between March 2014 and January last year.

The offences came to light after the boy confided in his aunt last April.

Yesterday, Ting, 41, was jailed a year for three charges, under the Children and Young Persons Act, of committing an indecent act with a child. Another five charges were taken into consideration for sentencing.

Court papers said that Ting was the boy's form teacher at a primary school in the western part of Singapore.

In March 2014, Ting made the boy unzip his (Ting's) pants, and he exposed his underwear to the boy.

In September 2014, he got the boy, who cannot be named due to a gag order, to help him carry some class materials to the staff room.

They later stopped outside a male toilet where Ting handed the boy a plastic bag containing three pairs of underwear and told him to try on the black one.

He insisted even after the boy said he was already wearing boxers. The boy obeyed him.

When the boy came out, Ting unzipped the boy's shorts and stared at his underwear for a while.

He zipped up the boy's shorts and told him to return to class.

Last January, Ting wore a new pair of underwear to school on six occasions and had the boy stay back in the classroom.

When they were alone, he made the boy unzip his pants, and he exposed his underwear to the boy.

Ting told the boy to keep mum about the incidents, and the victim obeyed out of fear.

But last April, the boy told his aunt what had happened to him after she said jokingly that he should be careful of perverted teachers in school.

The boy replied: "Only one, not a lot."

Yesterday, Deputy Public Prosecutor James Chew said the boy said in his victim impact statement that he now lives in fear of teachers unzipping his pants.

DISTURBING

DPP Chew pointed out that the offences happened in school, where pupils are supposed to be safe.

Defence counsel Philip Lam said in mitigation that his client was suffering from Avoidant Personality Disorder.

The case highly disturbed District Judge Matthew Joseph, who told Ting: "Your acts have brought a stain on the profession as a teacher. This is highly regrettable."

He added that it was painful reading the victim impact statement and he called the case gravely disturbing.

He also said Ting's misdeeds were not one-off or based on an error of judgment - there were eight occasions where the teacher sexually exploited the boy.

The judge, however, noted that Ting had resigned on his own accord shortly after he was taken into police custody. He commended Ting for his willingness to take responsibility for his actions.

Ting could have been jailed up to five years and fined up to $10,000 for each charge.

Saw the video where the bottom's face wasn't censored. Honestly not that exciting lah. The only thing that is remotely sexy is that they're doing it in uniform, so good for the people with uniform fetish. If you don't have uniform fetish, then you honestly didn't miss much.

do u still have the access to the video?

A primary school teacher unzipped his pupil's shorts to look at the underwear he had bought him, and on a separate occasion asked the boy to unzip his trousers, exposing his underwear to the pupil, a court heard yesterday.

Colin Ting Fook Mun, 41, who quit teaching 1-1/2 years ago, pleaded guilty to three of eight charges of committing an indecent act with a child, and was jailed for 12 months.

The acts occurred at the primary school between March and September 2014 and in January last year.

Investigations showed that some time in September 2014, Ting asked the boy to help him carry some class materials to the staffroom after class. When they were walking back to the classroom, Ting stopped outside the male toilet and gave the boy a plastic bag containing three pairs of underwear.

He told the pupil to try the black underwear. The boy complied.

When the boy came out from the toilet, Ting told him that he wanted to see the underwear he was wearing. The boy remained quiet.

Ting then unzipped the boy's shorts and looked at his underwear for a short while before zipping them up again. Later that day, after school, Ting gave the other two pairs of underwear to the victim.

Some time around January last year, Ting bought about six pairs of underwear for himself and told the victim. He would wear a different pair of underwear each day, and ask the boy to stay back after school each day to look at them.

On Jan 5 and 6 last year, when Ting was alone with the boy, he told him to unzip his trousers so that the victim could see his underwear. The boy did what he was told.

Deputy Public Prosecutor James Chew said the boy did not tell anyone about these incidents as he was scared, and Ting had told him not to.

The episodes came to light only in April last year when the victim's aunt asked him why he had to stay back in school.

"The victim's aunt had jokingly told him to be careful as there are some 'pervertic' (sic) teachers, and the victim replied that there was 'only one, not a lot','' said DPP Chew.

Ting's lawyer Philip Lam said his client was very remorseful. Over 15 years, Ting had taught more than 600 pupils without incident, he added.

Mr Lam said Ting was suffering from avoidant personality disorder and depression at the time. But an Institute of Mental Health psychiatrist said he did not suffer from any mental illness during that period.

DPP Chew said Ting's indecent acts over a prolonged duration were serious and should not be trivialised. He added that the accused had abused his position of trust and committed the acts within school premises where he found ways to isolate the victim.

He noted how these episodes "must have had a very adverse impact" on the victim's mental state. The victim said he felt "disgust'' about the incidents, and that if other teachers asked him to help carry things, he would get his other classmates to do so instead.

District Judge Mathew Joseph said this was a gravely disturbing case as there was an abuse of trust, and because it involved a very young and vulnerable victim.

He commended Ting for taking responsibility for his actions. He hoped that he could continue to be a useful and contributing member of society.

"Your acts have brought a stain on the profession as a teacher. This is highly regrettable,'' the judge said.

Ting could have been fined up to $10,000 and/or jailed for up to five years on each charge.
