Haha, not sure about the culture here, but most overseas sauna i've been to have a policy of no fun in the jacuzzi - just cause it's not sanitary. So if that's also the case here, then i don't see why it being bright and open is an issue. haha.

Really?  I have never heard of such a policy.  If a gay sauna is going to go to the trouble to have a working jacuzzi,  it is for the customers to have fun!

Well like you can kiss and grope... but no sex, bj or jerking. it's just more hygienic that way. usually security will do random check and tell the guys to get out and use the room/maze. anyways, it's all overseas... SG may have different policies, but i reckon it'll be best not to have jizz in the jacuzzi... cannot imagine anyone else wanting to get in

Yea that sounds way more hygienic and sanitary.

I Guess the brightness and openness allows for exhibitionists to show off themselves

That's probably the reason why they installed a camera facing the Jacuzzi.

All these "how is the crowd question" is just stupid.

What do u want to hear?

The type of crowd is the same day in and day out

The amount of crowd, no one can predict

So what are you after?

Why not just fucking go down yourself

I suppose the camera is for your own safety in case you accidentally slip or fall. They need this type of equipment to monitor the area. If anyone is concerned about it perhaps they should wear their swimming trunks when using the jaccuzzi. The camera is not hidden so it's not like they are recording you without your consent. Anyway, anyone who comes to a sauna should be able to understand measures that the owner has to take in order to keep things safe and running.

It would be wise for the management to place a small signage next to the jacuzzi to forewarn that the facility is monitored by a camera at all times for safety reasons. The rest is up to the discretion of the user. This is just to "cover backside" in case some jokers come and claim that they  are unaware there was a camera there.

Actually such signage for users should be outside saunas, steam rooms and pools etc... All good hotels and spas would have them, one reason to do so is to avoid any legal shit that can sometimes occur.

a camera at the jacuzzi simply stupid. There is no risk of drowning and etc. If scare of fall down been used as reason, then all public toilet should have camera then. Imagine if keybox owner keep the footage and one day leak out by one not so happy employee. Then what?

Camera at sensitive place like the locker area and etc are simply stupid idea.

I have never heard of the restrictions some claim here to exist in the use of a jacuzzi in a gay sauna.

Same with a camera focused on it.

I don't think that there is real risk nor liability provided the jacuzzi is sufficiently shallow, the water is not too warm, and some safe antibacterial is used in it.

The overall renovation of Keybox was generally good . However, I did notice that the dark maze area is way too bright . Perhaps, keybox would consider dimming the lights down a little .

Let’s all make keybox the best sauna in Singapore.

Kissing and groping isn't a problem.  The real problem is when someone get jerked off and his cums floated all over the Jacuzzi.  Can the CCTV deter inconsiderate ppl from doing such act ?

I find these posts annoying and silly too.

Guys in the sauna won't take their handphones to reply you instantly because they should be busy with other things, even if they just watch a Chinese love movie at the resting area... or dip their dick into the jacuzzi.

For weekends everybody knows the crowd is bigger.

You can go down and ask at the counter. For KB the guys at the counter always respond. Take 25 % off what they tell you then you're probably safe on the amount of guys.

Even if there are 200 people maybe only 2 suitable for you. how would anyone know...

We are not entertaining such spoon-feeding questions. sorry.

Nobody asks what is the crowd at Fair Price shops either...

Yes people use to cum inside the jacuzzi in saunas of the past like in Rairua and Cruise Club too. Use to have all this gummy residue sticking to the hairs on my legs when I used them. Will have to take a good shower after using... :o   No rumour

There is no such thing as being discreet and yet going out to look for sex or visiting a sauna.

You think you are discreet but you are just lying to yourself.

I have been going to saunas for many years, had to show ID and register in many of them.

I was concerned in the beginning like you are. I did not want to leave any traces.

But I have never heard of any indiscretion, blackmail, outing, problems resulting from registration at gay saunas.

The tell tale sign is, if there is soap like bubbles floating on the surface, it means someone has just shoot his load inside the Jacuzzi.

That makes no sense to me.

The camera is hardly going to stop you from falling or slipping, and I suspect the camera is not going to be constantly monitored.

Maybe to protect the arse of the premises

whatever the justification, it is illegal to film people in the nude. Otherwise the same justifications will have cameras installed in public toilets, changing rooms, gym showers etc etc. I m surprised Keybox will invade its members privacy in this illegal way. When there is a raid for whatever reason, can they object to the police not reviewing what's on camera? I am a fan of keybox but i am very disturbed with this.

Maybe a police report should be made on the camera at the jacuzzi.

These days everything can be leaked online. Do you really want to worry if it's you in the video?

This is exactly why there needs to be a sign to make it clear that the area is monitored by a camera. There will always be people who might want to make a police report etc..

There is no regulations to say that you have to be nude to use the jacuzzi. No one is forcing anyone to be nude when using the jacuzzi.

Don't understand why people are like that. Everything want to call police. These establishments are there to cater to your enjoyment, yet they want to do something to get them into trouble. Hiya....

This is like feeding a dog and then it bites you...

You are correct, the camera does not prevent you from falling or slipping but the staff who monitor  can come to your aid if you do injure yourself. Cameras are useful to establish the cause of the accident should it happen. Keybox operates 24hrs, during the quiet hours past midnight there might be no one to witness or help you should you fall, at least there will be a camera there to watch over you. And yes its to protect the premises, if you are the owner you have to protect yourself from all kinds of liability.

I am confident that 99.99% or us have never operated a gay sauna, but its is more than providing rooms and condoms for people to fuck. There are 101 things to consider, safety of the customers would be one. We might not fully understand all the reasons they have the camera there but entertaining themselves with our naked footage would be last on the list.

I don't understand all these reasons of safety, proof of cause of accidents and protecting the owners. And there is public liability insurance for that. If you agree to these reasons, would you let cameras be installed in the cubicles and maze too? Accidents can happen inside them too. This is a gay sauna where people go to have sex because we want to feel as safe as we possibly can doing it. It is of utmost importance that sexual privacy is not breeched in SG where homosexual acts are criminal. Has anyone really seen a camera installed in a place of nudity with their own eyes or even a sign saying so (please speak up and clear the air). Because in the Singapore context, I have seen this sign and it was inside the toilet of Clementi MRT where cocks can be seen at the urinals. They had to quickly take the sign down because it is not allowed to be thus in a public space where genitalia can be seen and potential lawsuits can arise from it. If you still cannot see the legal aspects, it's like filming upwards a lady's skirt or putting a camera in the changing room of a clothing store, except they are more lame than filming some naughty homosexual acts which are illegal here. I wont comment anymore about this. I just feel it is not right inside a gay sauna and I hope Keybox can explain to their valued customers what is the actual purpose of this. Peace.

Keybox should not place camera near the jacuzzi area as most people would go naked there. I am sure we do not want our naked bodies to be captured on camera .

Keybox should respect our privacy.

This is a serious matter and not to be taken lightly .

It might not be a bad idea to bring to the sauna a small roll of tape or a small can of spray paint

to tape over or spray onto any camera lens one encounters there.   If many do it,

it will be a task for the owners to peel of the tape or wipe off the paint from their cameras.

Years ago I frequented a sauna in my city that in its steam room had a light that I always found too bright.

I played with the idea of spraying that damn bulb with black oil paint.  But I didn't do it then,

I probably would do it today...

Vandalism is a serious offence in Singapore.  Years back, an American teenager Michael Fay, who was studying in Singapore, was given 6 strokes of the cane (reduced to 5 on appeal by the US President).

Please don't. The current lighting is suitable for seeing without being too harsh. Only those who must hide their face will want it to be darker. Maybe you can consider using a paper bag instead?

Farting is not a serious offence in Singapore.

We just have s cultural diffrence , that is all.

There are also non chargeble offence like loitering in front of your neighbours front door.

In America, people will take their guns and shoot and kill people or neighbours for loitering in front of their front door ,

Its called defending my property and protecring my family , the law in America.
