Y'know I think I would like to compliment the KB team.

Honestly, I have only been to one other sauna and that's Abs. In comparison, I would say KB people are so much friendlier, the place is cleaner, and i generally have a better time.

Kudos to the counter staff who are always friendly (heh, this guy Shaun is cute too). I also see them going around topping up dispensers, cleaning places in an almost discreet way, to ensure we can play in comfort. They are also firm but patient towards those who do not comply with the "regulations". Thanks to them, my trips to KB are always pleasant.

The men at KB are awesome too - Most are generally friendly and good natured. I made a few acquaintances and chatted quite a bit with them. Cool ppl.

BTW I visited KB yesterday (Tuesday) evening. It was my first time visiting on a Tues and wow, quite packed, quite fun:)

Honestly speaking, the staff at keybox are trying very hard to maintain the place for us, i'm sure as an ex staff, one should be able to understand how hard it is to maintain a very high standard with the kind of fee we are paying, don't tell me you expect to receive a high service stardard and quality like a hotel lounge when you visit a coffeeshop? Will you complain to the coffeeshop owner if you find that the toilet is dirty and make the effort to go online and bitch about every coffeeshop you go? I doubt so, are you able to maintain the kind of standard you are asking for right now when you work even for that one day?

The staff did not dirty the toilet, they didn't dirty the floor with sperm and who are the one that did all these? The ones that are paying and inconsiderate, why don't you pinpoint on them? People who are more civilized will not kick such a fuss, they know where they stand instead of doing so many things. What happened last Thursday :

My partner and I were halfway thru foreplay and this creepy crawlie jumped onto his body and he told me. i thought he was joking until thatn roach crawled onto my hands.

On Keybox's side

1) Professionalism

I feel that as an business entity, you should always remain professional. You were obviously being provoked by the other party. One should also remember that you are a service provider, and under no circumstance should you hurl vulgarities or ill treat your customer (unless of course they are being violent or ill-treating other customers). Professionalism should also be held by refraining from making personal comments.

You have made your official reply and stated your follow-up actions. Any replies after that, assuming they are even legit and are from the "real" Jon, are uncalled for.

- I make this point as the few times I have visited Keybox, the Jon I know hardly speaks a word of English and I doubt he even knows how to use the computer.

On SKMan's side:

1) Cockroach Issue

I am sure the Keybox Management will take your feedback seriously and are already looking into it. Roaches are never welcome, and I'm sure they will be taking necessary action to correct the situation.

2) Lighting Issue

I think the Lighting issue was already solved a few pages back, stating that it simply takes the human eye about 10 minutes or so to adjust from the bright surroundings outside. The lightning is definitely sufficient after one's eyesight has adjusted appropriately to the sudden change in ambient lighting. So while it may not please everyone, it certainly isn't a huge 'problem'.

3) Dirty Toilets

On the topic of the "dirty toilet" issue, even the most expensive sauna situated in Chinatown has -really- smelly toilets most times. Even having its shower drains getting clogged by condom wrappers a couple of times too. I'm sure most regulars there can attest to that. So let's try not to beat a dead horse, but perhaps hope that people who use the toilets have better aim?

4) Service Recovery Standards/ Owners' Rights

It is definitely wrong for the staff of Keybox to hurl vulgarities at customers, regardless of the reason, and we definitely sympathize with you. However, it is well within their right to ask any customer to leave. While it does not seem to happen often, did you perhaps provoke or cause any trouble that, in turn, caused them to take such drastic actions? Just food for thought.

5) The right to free speech

Yes this is a public forum, and yes you have your right to free speech. However, if you know your right to free speech, you should also know the limits to free speech. I strongly feel that you are grossly exaggerating the situation by turning one pest incident into an "infestation". You might want to rethink wording of your sentences, as going by your definition, I would assume every sauna in Singapore would be "infested" with cockroaches (and Rats in some cases!).

6) Raising Awareness or Personal Agenda

Thus this causes you to lose credibility in your claim that you are simply 'raising awareness' to the issue. We do hope you are not simply driving your own personal agenda of slandering Keybox in a public domain due to some personal conflicts that you might habour with the management of the establishment.

7) Other personal issues

I am also sure the other readers are incredibly sympathetic with your situation right now. But perhaps your personal conflicts could be solved more privately and need not be brought up in a public forum. If this "Jon" person is so hostile towards you, perhaps try talking to the other 2 staff members that another forumer has posted who seem more friendly? They might be able to solve the problem for you.

I strongly feel that everything that has been said has already been posted, and this is an issue that can now only be solved between to two of you. I state my opinions trying to be as objective and neutral as possible.

Come on, I have always been on talking terms with John and we chat every time i am there. His hostiliy towards me was over the post on cockroach. and PLEASE... the previous time i was there, i had already left Keybox but came back and told him about the roach problem, BUT HE WAS SARCASTIC TOWARDS ME. Frankly, if i hated the place, i would not have visited it every Thursday. But after this incident, rest assured I really do hate the place.

And again, I only was there for 1 day and I was not even paid for it. Instead I was given a $10 membership card to replace my 1 day pay. For those who know me will know that the pay is nothing to me. But still I worked one day there and should be duely compensated based on what was agreed upon. So why continue to bring this up ? So why is Keybox not addressing this matter publicly ? If you are a responsible employer, you would have paid me in full rather than in kind with a free membership card.

I jump on random people ? So who did I jump randomly on whom did not use certain words on me ?
