Yes, I know the smell you are referring to. I believe it's some kind of fragrance oil, not sure if they are aware that these synthetic floral fragrances are actually not healthy to inhale,  They should use only pure essential oils like eucalyptus, and not too much, just a hint is sufficient.

Stunned for a while, i didnt say anything, then i went to dress up n left around, 8:02 am, i saw other customers in Keybox at that time, one guy was taking his time in front of mirror but didnt see the staff treat him that way.

Dont misunderstand, am not saying that its ok for customers to stay past closing cos they might lock keybox door before cleaning. 

But is it acceptable that Ah Yao treat a PAYING customer, who been a customer for YEARS, that way? Is that the right way to handle it? What is the service industry standard? Does the boss know the staff did that? What will boss do after knowing that? Do the staff care about service standard or he think its ok to mistreat customer he dun like?Isnt that proof the staff was getting personal cos he didnt give hostile stare to all customer, can the community accept that?

To begin with, this is Singapore.  If one does not realised already, Singapore is a place where good service hardly exist.  Singapore workforce (yes, citizens, residents and foreigners working here) basically have no respect for each other.  When one has no respect for others, service delivery is non-existent or inconsistent (based on looks, muscles and what not).  This is the Singaporean culture and like it or not, it really sucks, but just face it.

 

Secondly, if the place closes at 8.00am, for crying out loud, get ready to bump out by 7.45am.  Singaporeans are one people that are always never on time when it comes to appointments or meetings.  Being late, even one minute, is an expression of disrespect for the other party.  So, when you are not dressed by 7.55am and left at 8.02am, you are already in the wrong.  Likewise for those others rude customers whom are still around after 8am.

 

And precisely if you are a customer for YEARS, you should have respect for this institution since you have been with them so long; and not drag yourself out beyond the stipulated closing time that you are so aware of.

 

To conclude, this is yet another example of a 3rd world behaviour (of all parties) in a supposedly first world country.
