SAFRA Mount Faber announced on Facebook that a visitor who patronised the Turandot Music Restaurant Bar located at SAFRA Mount Faber on Mar. 11, 2020 has tested positive.

The restaurant has been temporarily closed from 22 Mar onwards.

You were at the pool that day oso, scared u might have come into contact with the covid patient? 😄

Nope I was there in the day and only went to the gym/pool. I believe the bar wasn't open yet. Replying to add on another nugget of information from your post ma.

Since the announcement (in fact since the day of visit), I had still continued to visit as well. Usual routines like handwashing, use of antiseptic, keeping oneself clean and steering away from crowds would be good measures to prevent the illness. Thus far I don't really see a reduction in visitors too...

Is it more crowded or less crowded at gym nowadays? Thinking of heading down later in the evening...

Don't really feel that it is lesser in the day but yes in the evening / night it seems much lesser than previously.

yeah went to TPY SAFRA yesterday and the sensing is that gym goers are more sparse. Hope gym will still be running but with just stricter restrictions.

Is the SAFRA pool still operating as per normal?

In light of the tighter measures announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce to minimise further spread of the COVID-19, SAFRA will be closing all entertainment and enrichment facilities at our clubs, alongside others such as BBQ pits, children’s play facilities and function rooms, to minimise gatherings in close proximity for prolonged durations. All events and courses will be cancelled, and interest group activities suspended. These will take immediate effect till 30 April 2020. For more details and the full list of facility closures, visit www.safra.sg/coronavirus

Swimming Pools are still Open but restricted number i guessed.

With the "unspoken curfew" in place, SAFRA Tampines gym was relatively quiet when I arrived at about 8.45 p.m. this evening. As I was leaving at about 10.30 p.m., the crowd started arriving. Hope the photo below will help in deciding what time you wish to head to the gym at the various locations:

So in a nutshell amidst the "unspoken curfew" and social distancing,

1) swimming pools remain open;

2) gyms are now open from 0630 to 2230 daily (including weekends);

3) Steam rooms and jacuzzis in the gyms are closed till further notice;

4) only members are allowed in the gyms; paid admission by non-members suspended;

5) there's a maximum member capacity in each gym (see my previous entry).

 Hope this helps everyone! ^_^

May i say hi to the slim guy in the changing room just now around 130.. Locker no 9X. Think you went to swim after changing into trunks.

Saying hi to those tanning at the midpool side, and the super swimmers, 1 wearing black goggles with orange stripes and the other doing pushups after each lap
