Indeed .. I also love to have fun in hotel! Some more certain rooms at Hotel 81 have full length mirror at the side of the bed, so can see the action ourselves :P especially when we have erotic wrestling fun .. muscled bod glistening with sweat and oil ... yummm :thumb:

I haven't been patronising hotels for a while.. err.. I thought hotel81 charges $49 a night. Tonight we check-in tomorrow must check-out at 12noon. Which hotel charge $30 and for how long( what is the check-out time)? Haha, Can recommend?

$30 is the new rate across the board for all the Hotel 81 chain for 2 hours use of the room.

I thought hotels are not suppose to charge room by hourly rate...

Got some AJ couple friends coming to Singapore. They asked me about Universal Studio at Resort World Sentosa.

Check with guys here who have hosted AJ friends. Recommended ?

I checked the hotel prices and it isn't cheap. However they are well off enough. They are looking for a enjoyable and relaxing stay. Recommended and which one ?

Sorry to have to seek advice here. Have never gone any of these places yet.

I don't really recommend RWS hotels, it's always full house. Room price is expensive compare to other hotels, and the price does not include breakfast. Check-in time is at 3pm, I was at the hotel at 1.30pm and already a long queue of people waiting for check-in registration. I waited in the queue for about 45 mins, still could not get the room keys, was told the rooms are not ready. Only got my keys at 5pm. USS opens at 10am, plenty of time to get there, can stay in other hotels.

i think its quite silly and inconvenient to stay in Sentosa.

With so many top notch options on the mainland, i don't see the incentive to stay there.

Fullerton bay, fairmont, grand park orchard, quincy, carlton's premier wing, conrad, naumi, st regis are all fantastic options you can recommend.

By all means visit USS and the wave house, but at the end of the day you will want to get out of that place.

same goes for MBS. lousy bare rooms, long queues of tourists and middle-aged punters redeeming free rooms, stay far far away. but i must say the skypark pool is quite awesome, but avoid weekends cos it will turn into another toa payoh pool.

try Capella's Manor

it's only 524sqm per villa :)

only $12,000 per night (what!??)

includes a chauffeured Rolls Royce :)

Well, i would recommend stay in mainland. They can then take the monorail - $3, return is free,(see scenery) to USS. Best if go USS for whole day, then can enjoy most of the rides. I'm sure they are not coming to Singapore only to see the USS right? So mainland best :D

Hotel81 or Fragrance Hotel.

Both charge hourly rates. Minimum of 2 hours at $30. Subsequent hours at $15/hour.

However you need one IC/Passport to register and pay.

Some branches require IC of YOU and YOUR partner to register. Others only one IC required.

Last week, I was at Hotel81-Lavender branch for a massage session.

The masseur arrived earlier and first checked-in to prepare. I was running slight late and just took the lift to the hotel room. Nobody cared.

The above post was done in 2010. It is now 2012

I was at the same Hotel81-Lavender on January 2012. They now require both person to be present at checkin. And both to present NRIC/Passport. This also applies to Fragrance Hotel.

Most of the budget hotel have a few car park lots at the back of their hotel reserved for customer. Price included in the room charges, first come first serve. You may be required to record your plate number with the front desk on check-in.

I know Hotel81 Lavender has a spacious public car park next to it. Free parking after 5pm :)

I added in a Google Streetview image. The public car park is visible on the left.

1. Yes they are still checking the ID for both persons, usually will only record one if the other is Singaporean

2. Yes they know what you guys are doing, a friend's friend who worked in 81 said that 90% of the time they knew instantly if only 1 guy show up and register for the room. They dont care as long as you pay the rental and dont damage the property.

3. The checking of ID is more of to prevent foreign hookers.

We're both local. Looking for a comfortable hotel in Singapore to checkin on Fri/Sat to spend time to hug, sex and sleep together.

Would like people who have done it before to share your hotel choices and how much you pay.

I used to stay in cheap hotels almost every weekends during my initial dating with my partner. Below are some places you can consider:

1) Fort Canning Lodge (I think it was previously called YWCA), just behind park mall.

Pros: Near mrt, plaza sing. Can just walk there for a dinner. It used to be very cheap with some credit card/safra card promotion (7 years back (i know that was long time ago...), it was $70 nett then.). The restaurant there is very cheap (2 years back when there was credit card promotion, it is 1-1 main course, which comes to $9 nett for a chicken chop). During booking, do ask for the Fort Canning view as it is more romantic.

Cons: It is not a high class accomodation, just a simple room. They may not have double bed, so you may need to push 2 beds together.

2) Albert Court Hotel.

Pros: near mrt (little india), quite nice room for the price (used to pay $80 nett). Within the hotel courtyard, I like the environment

Cons: If you do venture out of the hotel compound, the 'power of darkness' may consume you!

3) Look out for adverts in trevvy or groupons where some pple might sell hotel room vouchers. Once I paid $150 nett for a room in Oriental hotel. Good deal!

4) Hotel membership packages. I have a lobang for $500 nett, it includes a room at Swiss Hotel, 50% room rate vouchers, $200 dining vouchers, 2 cakes or bottles of wine, 1 year membership in swiss hotel, merchant court, raffles hotel where 50% dining discount if there are 2 diners (means $19 nett for equinox high tea, about $10 nett for Kopi Thiam etc). Outside, it is selling for $600 plus dollars.

Enjoy & Cheers!

Ooo, that's the Feed At Raffles Gourmet package. Good deal, since the normal package is $588+gst. :thumb:

Actually, most of the hotel dining cards have a complimentary night a year, plus assorted vouchers. The other long-established and good one is A La Carte ($400-ish), aside from FAR mentioned by Robin above. A friend has St Regis card, though that place is very pricey. I boycott Mandarin though, as their Marina F&B outlets have ridiculous "policies".

Anyway, here are a random selection of hotel rooms/suites I've got a chance to view (for some, wish to stay!). Hopefully they'd help anyone to compare value against prices too. I've included the nicer bathroom/bathtub pics, since most of you will go there as a couple, so..... ;)

Most of the above photos are from corporate clients, so I only get to shoot, not stay....

One alternative is to find friends with those cards and get them to book for you.

Other options are to look for online offers for the small boutique hotels like Wangz, New Majestic, Klapsons, Nostalgia, Scarlett, etc. Price range from 250-550 a night.

Hi. I need some advice. I need to book a hotel room for erm.... u know. I've never done it before, so can anyone recommend a hotel near central area available for a couple of hours?

I know about the Hotel 81's etc - but if you can let me know which branch is ok esp when the other party wants to be discreet.

I don't mind using my IC to book the room, but the other party prefers to just head up without drawing too much attention eg. can just walk in, take the elevator to the room - which hotel branch is best for that?

If you prefer to PM me, that will be gr8 too. Any advice is apreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you know this but maybe can try H81 at Dickson? - not bad and your other "party" can pretty much walk in.

Have fun and play safe. :thumb:
