In my experience, these resorts like Puri Wimpy don't do very good business. Most of my friends find themselves to be the only people in the whole place and have the pool/facilities to themselves. They and their guests can go nude and f**k everywhere as long as they dun disturb the staff.

Did your friends went during the "low" season? There are a few other "nude" resort, around Semiyak area. They are Laki Uma Villa, Umah Watu Villa and Bali Au Naturel. Umah Watu Villa seems to look the most nicest in pictures. Laki Uma is very small according to one friend who stayed there. He did not dare to go nude because of the other customers were beached white whales .

I've stayed at a place call'ed Russells place in Kuta, could be called Rumah Gaya Men Bali. Very cheap around $20 a night, its a private compound, most guys are nude in there. Lots of food places nearby too. Clientele are a mix of all races, some from Taiwan, Indonesia, Australian, a Swede.. forgot who else.. great evenings in the jacuzzi...

:thumb: I stayed in Laki I think. Not sure now.It was in Seminyak. Went there with my bf. I think we went during off-peak so there was only one other person when we checked in. Its like a 2-storeyhouse with several rooms and a pool. It was nicely done up. There is a kitchen where the staff prepares mornign breakfast for you. There are about 3-4 male staff there. At that time all were straight except one. Although they are straight they are very gay-friendly and helpful. They do not bat an eyelid if you walk around nude or practically have sex anywhere you want. They will give you the private space. Although there were no other guest to 'play' with when we were there, we had a good time still being able to just strip naked at nite when we got back, jump into the pool and have sex in the open.

The ones who dares are likely to be the more liberal caucasions - be it white beached whales or prunes. I've been to one of them villas in Bali with my bf last year and yup, we were the only guests there and when we did swim and walk around nude, it was awkward coz the host and his workers would be around and stealing glances in a rather lecherous way. I felt better clothed.

BUT, I did have a wonderful experience at one of them beaches in Cape Town, South Africa. It was a gay nude beach and very well-accepted. Guys basked in the sun naked while cute blonde haired surfers would would walk past to go to the surfer's beach a short walk away. And some would actually come over to join us and sun tan nude too! While I was there, it was a hot Saturday and there were LOTS of guys there.. both gay and straight. A blonde "brad pitt" lookalike surfer dude actually stripped and laid next to my boyfren and me. He's straight, but we chatted and got along pretty well.

THAT'S what public nudity should be all about.. no inhibitions, just do it. We'll have more fun in them nude resorts at Palm Springs etc...

So the host is some prune/beached whale angmo? Heard that most of these nudist gay hotels in Bali are owned by Angmos, usually Aussies/Europeans.

Ironic that you say that nudity is something that you should just get into when actually you present an obstacle by labelling some as "prunes" and "beached whales".

Such labelling creates inhibitions.

Or are you saying that nudity is meant only for the "brad pitt" look-a-likes and the surfer-boys who are not "prunes" or "beached whales"... quite discriminating is it?

To correct myself, nudism isn't about seeing others being nude. Its about us being nude. The feeling of being in sync with nature, enjoying the freedom. Nevermind of there are other ugly bodies around. I wonder who can maintain their body picture perfect forever? Don't they grow old? One day they will become that beached whale.. hahaha..

Let me paraphrase it to make it clearer... the point was that most of the guys who dares to walk around nude at them nudist places are the ang mohs, regardless of their body form or age! They can confidently display their flabby and aging body for all to see without any sense of shame or consciousness to the concerns of others. I meant that in a good way! I raise my glass up to them for the guts! The terms (e.g. "beached whale", etc) used were just an extension of an earlier posting, just for jest. Dun need to get so hung up about it! Anyway, Asians are just plain shy and too self-conscious of their bodies (as proven here). Of course, not to mention there are those who think they've got God-given bodies that are only privy to the eyes' of similarly God-like creatures. For me, I don't really care. I like the way I look and I'm not shy to show it. And yes... I do have my preferences on the type of guys that appeals to me. But that is MY choice. Don't get hung up over it.

Basically nothing wrong with giving descriptions to different people with different outlooks or figure. If people think u look like a whale, then be it. It doesn't mean he himself look any better.

I think we have to learn to accept ourselves regardless of how we look. No point deceiving ourselves when you really look like a whale? Someone can also give nasty descriptions to a 6-pec muscular hunk and they have to accept it as well.

I did not stay in Kuta Beach but you can ask taxi driver bring you to : Callego Massage (located at the Taman Ganesha gay stretch of beach, near La Luciola restaurant, 731-613, 0812-396-1131, 0818-556-308. They also provide food, cold drinks and beach umbrellas for their customers).

I dont remember exactly if this is place I often went there everyday when I was in Bali, but just remember it sounds Italian name so I hope it is correct.

The restaurant, massage is so relax, not expensive. You can sun-tan there whole day, I really love it.

Further information, go to utopia, there are more options for you.

Shopping is cheap but nothing to shop

Food is very nice and cheap.

Clubbing is so so, full of money boys.

When I booked hotel, asked them to pick you up at airport, I only paid 70k Rupia.

If you want to take any local tour, dont buy from hotel, buy the tour package on street, cheaper.

In general, I love Bali, it is place for honey moon

Instead of booking local tours, you may want to consider hiring a car with driver, for the day. It is around S$60, excluding petrol.

The driver can drive you to several tourist spots if time permits, so you may be able to see much more in that 1 day.

oil paintings - there are a few galleries along seminyak, or if you are going ubud, lots of them

billabong shorts - kuta everywhere, just a matter of real or fake, real ones are not cheaper than s'pore....

massage - i like antique spa (no hanky panky), have not seen uncle masseurs in Bali yet, most masseurs are < 30yrs. but in general bali spas are good & cheap.
