cock brand
Is anybody in design and media industry? would need some general infomation about it. 小弟,我想要了解一些关于这行业。 谢谢!Your posting is so vague, how to help you?You should instead tell us what you intend to do in this industry. This industry is extremely vibrant and it covers many different areas - magazines / publications, advertising / branding, TV / multi-media production, gaming animation, etc. If you are talented in certain field, you should be a hot candidate for many companiesBut first, you need to identify what you wish to do.For example:Graphic designerPhotographerCopy writerAnimationSet directionVideo production etc, just to name a few.In this fast moving industry, the mediocre or under performer will be left behind with little prospect. So its not so much the industry but your skill and your work attitude. cock brand
Sorry people, was rather vague in my question. Have the intention to switch indusrtry....being considering the following areas:-Interior design, graphic design, advertising, media production. Would like to check its job scope and prospect. Heehee thanks! All the areas you mentioned are pretty good for young people provided as I've said earlier, your skill and work attitude must be of a high standard. If not, even in the most robust industry, you can't go far.And in these industries, skill matters the most and you must be well trained. And be prepared to work long hours. If you are a good interior designer for example, you will get lots of referrals from happy clients. But if you are not, then you'll end up in the backroom support. Are you considering going for some courses to upgrade yourself first?
legoboy
Woofwoof75 -> ok icic.. thanks for your advice! Cockbrand -> Yeah thinking of going for some courses 1st. Thanks!
grazerhanes
Upgrading oneself is important. But in this field, i believe creativity/interpersonal skills are really important. But they are some jobs out there which doesn't require much of creativity, really depends on what your objective in the job is. To lead in future, or to rely on your skills taking commands/request.Just a thought.
cock brand
Woofwoof75 -> ok icic.. thanks for your advice! Cockbrand -> Yeah thinking of going for some courses 1st. Thanks! Thats good.First, try to zoom in what course you would like to take, make a choice, then go and select the relevant school that conducts it. If you are still working now, and wish to do it part-time; check with your HR dept if the company can sponsor you thru SDF or any other appropiate schemes ( eg. CDAC ) that can subsidise your course fees. The subsidy is normally very high, so you can save some money. Now, the govt is encouraging personal skill upgrading for a better future, and are providing many subsidised schemes. So go and make use of it.
