For those who are facing doubts about finding your partner through online posting, press on. 

 

Years back, before I know about BW, I posted in Sgboy. My criteria, like you guys, are simple; (1) +/- 3 of age (2) Singaporean/PR as I am not in LDR (3) financial independent. Of coz, it has to be pleasing to the eyes.  I thought those criteria are reasonable. I corresponded & met up with more than a hundred people. It was tiring & discouragring. There was this day I even met up with 3 people within the same day. It was like speed interview.

 

Eventually, someone who did not meet any of the criteria responded (24yo, student, foreigner). I thought just to entertain a small kid, I met up with him.  Life always turn out not the way we have planned it be. The small kid & I are now in our 15th year of relationship. We have our own place, career & most importantly, still very madly in love with each other.

 

so, make sure you are realistic about your expectations, don’t expect someone to have something if you can’t offer it to him. Know that once you found someone,  relationship is a journey of growth not just for the other party, but for yourself too.

When I was there, literally nobody could understand my Singaporean accent when I spoke English... hence I was forced to adapt and somehow, I developed this accent. I do speak basic French, so that helps with the romance ! Haha. I speak Japanese too, if that is a "plus" in your books. 

Currently still studying. PM me if you're interested to trade face pics / go out for a date, and we will see how things develop from there. Even if we don't "match" as a couple, I'm always happy to make new friends ! My ideal "type" would be someone that is just smaller size than me, and most importantly must be kind. PS: I'm keeping my hair long currently for charity. (Things can get a little frizzy and messy after a whole day, especially if the weather is super hot and humid).

Perhaps its the holiday mood around in the air and with Christmas decorations and everything, but I do hope to find someone to connect to. If you're looking for something too, let's give it a shot together ? Regardless of the outcome, we've "tried" at the very least, and that, to me, is progress already.
