Guest Scared

I am tempted to watch the show on TV tonight but afraid to do so since I stay alone. What is the best way to watch without being freaked out.

It's not a scary show my friend. Just violent and gory with a rather kick ass story line. I've already seen the entire series for season 1 and I can't wait for season 2 to start! Very nice show, a little sad at times when the characters that grew on you die off one by one. Not saying who, so no spoilers here! Haha! Well, one can expect DEATH in a zombie flick. NO?. Hahaha!

Make sure u have washed up for the day, ready to go to bed.. Den lock urself in the room all safe and watch it in the room with blankets covering.. Make sure u have the remote with u so u can adjust volume or switch channels anytime..

Usually it's the environment that makes me scared, watching alone in the big hall.. when I watch in the room makes me feel safer.. Anyway this is for general horror flicks as I have not watched the mentioned title before

Plus, maybe, a little glass of (good) whiskey before watching?

I don't know this series, not distributed in my country; is it really so scary?

I thought The first season ended rather abruptly. Yo me, After a while the zombies are not that scary. Similar to movies like 28 days later, story will focus more on humanity, how humans will react to stay alive. In 28 days later, the worst monsters are actually humans.

u guys should not watch the one that airs on tv but rather online. iv seen the online ones and the local tv ones they show here and Singapore cuts out a lot of the scenes believe it or not. cuz to gory i guess. thats prob y some of u find it slow and boring. watch online!! tons of gore!!! cant wait 4 the new season in October!!!

I am drooling at the asian character - Glenn acted by Steven Yeun. I believed he is a ABV - american born vietnamese. He's damn hot. I find me cute watching him - in one of the episode - smashing up the corpses and smear the "juices" onto his body to smell like a zombie. His expression in that scene was very cute and funny.

Check out his shower scene in the last episode of season 1. He has a nice body. Fast forward the video clip below to 0:29 seconds. :thumb:

You really shouldn't be scared. Its not a scary show at all, trust me, I'm a real pussy when it comes to horror. If you get freaked out, just use the handsome male lead to motivate you to continue watching... HAHAHA

Guest Oh....

Oh...I watched the ep 2 yesterday, beginning to feel the excitment going on. Yesterday show seemd like a "happy ending" with all the guys escaped from the walking dead. The chinese guy was so cute and intelligent among the team and the show ended with him screaming happily while his car sped away, and beeping, along the quiet highway....

But one of the scene look gross when they hacked away the carcass and I literally switched channel to avoid that scene.

Can't wait for part 3.

So I was watching GLEE yesterday night on Channel 5, and was shocked and disappointed to see many parts were being cut.

Apparently those who have watched or downloaded the series earlier would know what I'm talking about.

In the "Blame It On The Alcohol" episode, the bisexual talk between Curt and Blaine was cut off.

Also, the ending where Blaine says "I'm 100% gay" was cut away. What the hell? The scene didn't make any sense when that line was removed.

Wtf is happening? The show was meant to show acceptance to anyone of any race or orientation, so why were these parts removed?

hahah which is y i stopped watching any American Drama TV series on Channel 5 now! Either download online or watch on StarWorld or something.

It's funny they allow rape scenes to play like water in countless channel 8 dramas but cut off these short conversations about gay and bisexuality.

Boy, am I surprise, NOT!

Back in 1984, when Boy George and Culture Club went on stage to receive their Grammy for Best New Artist,

that segment was conveniently snipped off from the local channel too!

Looks like Mediacorp is still trapped in their own morals since then!

I think PG on mediacorp channel meant "Protected from Gay content"

Wahahahaa... I like this definition of "PG"

Come to think of it, apart from being promoting family nucleus on national TV, commercials also played a part.

I happened to catch an ending part of an episode of Ch U, 10pm Moonlight Resonance last week. The original version I watched featured Ah Wing, the dumb girl getting married and the siblings and family actually sang on stage for her.

However, on Ch U, it's very obvious that portion was edited, probably due to the time spent on commercials, and maybe because the song was sung in Cantonese, TV may limit the exposure for non language/dialect songs?

Wow. Didnt know they only showing the episode now. That was so last semester.

Its not surprising. Last time they show Brother and Sisters, all the relationship part of the out gay brother Kevin was cut off completely. His character became lika a calefare.

Heh heh, they're just appealing to the masses who aren't ready to accept LGBT presence within Singapore as of yet.

Imagine the phone calls they'll have coming in once they remove the limits on such shows.

On the bright side, curious viewers will make efforts to search out the missing parts.

Works to our advantage me thinks.

Me still thinks the bisexual talk was meaningful and speaks truth, it should've been broadcasted.

And I don't see why the show should remain a PG 13 after removing the essential parts.

I have a feeling the kiss will suffer a cut as well <_<

dun waste your precious time to watch those US TV show on channel 5.... singapore still a fxxkING long way to be named as a World Class country...

i would rather spend time to download from torrent even it takes weeks or months to download... while it is downloading i can do other meaningful activities than to waste time watching drama show on mediacorps...

I Love staring at guys' bulges & ass cracks in their undies or nylon shorts or biz pants or jeans... Will start to fantasise I am caressing them with my hardon rite inside my undies... Do you ?

As you mentioned, my dear, the SHOW was meant to show acceptance to anyone of any race or orientation. But Singapore's censorship board doesn't accept this show's display of acceptance. So there you go. +1 to Singapore's media regulators.

MDA's stance is reflecting the community's perspective and not promoting alternative lifestyle.

Thus, mediacorp has to follow the guidelines otherwise they will be fined if there's a complain (like what happened a few years back regarding a Sunday morning interior decor show).

They will try to bend the rules by showing the more mature-themed shows later at night (e.g. Nip/Tuck)

mediacorp is not the only channel doing self-censorship.

MTV Asia plays a doctored version of Katy Perry's Fireworks video by removing the guy-approach-guy scene in a club.

Universal Channel screened a censored version of one Law and Order episode - the scene where a blond female lawyer was fired, she asked if it's because she's a lesbian and the boss said no.

When we see gay characters on screen or in the movies (as allowed by MDA), they are either ridiculed with exaggerated feminine gestures or they suffer a horrible ending (e.g. Brokeback Mountain)

Hopefully, as the world moves towards accepting gays, Singapore would catch up and then MDA will reflect the community's perspective...

I've noticed it eons ago... Brothers & Sisters, Drop Dead Diva... they cut any mention of "gay" or "bisexual" out of the material, leaving an extra 5 mins to be filled in by OBVIOUS filler commercials after the show ends. -.-
