anyone still catching desperate housewives and grey anatomy? recently saw rerun of grey and saw dh releasing new series soon.

used to catch them furiously abt 6 years ago. can stay at home the whole day during wkends and watch all the downloaded episodes.

Are you sure Desperate Housewives has new series? It ended their season 8 two years ago, if you are catching on local TV, then it is way too slow...

Just so that you know, Grey's Anatomy just started their season 10 recently...

Happy - is what we should be, always.

Well, I usually watch Friends or Will&Grace or Everybody Loves Raymond. They usually have lots of reruns at night here in the US. I stopped watching American TV a long time ago though. I converted to Korean dramas! haha. But I used to love: Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies, Revenge (amazing show!), Dirty Sexy Money, Dexter, Breaking Bad (which just ended), Weeds, Drop Dead Diva, & Samantha Who?

amazing that they still show these reruns, since they have tons and tons of sitcoms... though most likely not the older ones rite? - like golden girls, perfect strangers, alf, major dad, cheers, different strokes, fresh prince of bel air etc...

Um... I know there's one channel that still plays some of the ones you mentioned. Sometimes, I would watch Fresh Prince cause I practically grew up with that show but the rest I've never watched before. hahah. But wow! you really like sitcoms! I'm surprised you even heard of these. hahaha!

UK series attract me more.  The acting is superior, the dialogue is interesting, the thriller/crimes are unexpected and non conventional. Some of my favourites are :

  White Chapel,

  DCI Banks,

  Spooks,

  Silent Witness,

  Waking the dead

3. Dallas (the new one)

4. Days of our Lives (a soap that I've been watching since I was a kid)

Anyone thinks ugly betty shouldnt ve ended so abruptly. Afterall there still a lot of room for development in many areas.

I share the same sentiment .

However since it is just an adapted series from a telenovela, it really has to end.

There is talk of an Ugly Betty movie

I did watch Ally Mcbeal, Courtney Thorne Smith joined AM after being in Melrose Place as a series regular and her husband that time was this cutie between her and Calista Flockhart.

I don't like watching episodes every week. Much prefer to buy the vdos (sometimes pirate!) and have an orgy of watching over 2 or 3 nights. Present favs -

House of Cards (brilliant acting and plot lines - based on a much earlier BBC series)

Boardwalk Empire

Downton Abbey (although now not as interesting as the first series)

Older ones -

Fawlty Towers

Black Adder

Are You Being Served?

Golden Girls

Damages - with Glenn Close

Oh because a miniseries format is  less than 13 episodes ( in US 1 season is equal to 13 episodes) .

We call it a series if ever it lasts one season.

Yes. But why was it a MINIseries? :)

First it was 'McSteamy' and now it was 'McDreamy', so sad eh...     :(

Happy - is what we should be, always.

yeah. but it was kind of random leh. strangely, i don't feel much for mcdreamy's demise...

Well, Patrick Dempsey's character has been off to Washington quite a fair bit already, so I thought he is leaving the show like Sandra Oh's character. But it didn't occur to me that he exited the way 'McSteamy' did lor...    ^_^

However, the biggest impact from this show was when Izzie's patient-boyfriend (Denny) died at the end of season 2 (along with the song - Chasing Cars, in the background), that was memorable for me eh. Haha.

Anyway, looking forward to this week's 2-hour special, when the other doctors in Seattle Grace get to hear about the 'unfortunate event'...

Happy - is what we should be, always.
