Guest massagee
Anyone tried Mr Ang of AngMoKio. Overheard someone talking about him. Thank youMr Ang's massage is Tuina style. He is on par with,if not better than, Tony(according to my opinion, hopefully I don't get slam by Tony's supporters). He can apply quite hard pressure too. Only one problem, he cannot stop talking..hahaha. if you don't mind, he is a nice guy. However, if you wanted a quiet session, it will be quite difficult unless he has gotten feedback and knows when to talk. He is quite a friendly guy though. I think in terms of tuina skills wise, he is the best in AMK (but not ambience).

I can see u have some agenda here. Of course again in order to be independent, massage are very personal and can be physique dependent and the customer's intent. U know ......what I mean.... Haha.....However. Having said that, one should not be bad-mouthing the other to show superiority.(not related to Tony and Mr Ang. Just wanna to have a fair comment on an unfair comparison)btw, for mature masseur, there are Tapas, Paul, Terry, Caleb etc.... Try them all and u will know who suit u better and be then to decide youself and have a backup plan if your preferred no.1 can't take ur appointment. Guest massagee
U Know: I was just giving my feedback on Mr Ang and am doing an apple to apple comparison in terms of tuina style massage. Yes, I personally think, in terms of overall session, Mr Ang is better (at least he gave some nutritional advices). No, I don't bad mouth anyone because I didn't say bad thing about Tony. There were so many good to very good reviews of Tony so maybe my expectation was very high when I dropped by to get a session from him. Anyway, let's don't be too sensitive (and I do not wish to be caught in any form of argument). I am just responding to 'GUEST" request and providing him a comparison. It is up to guest to decide and if you "u know" think Tony is good or very good, then, good for you. i respect your opinion. Likewise, I hope you do respect others too. If you read the much earlier massage threads, you will know that there were quite a lot of good reviews done on Mr Ang too.

Guest The truth
Frustrated, I have not been to Robin and can't comment on his value for money services. But with $100, is kinda the highest charge to pay in the HML list. --> moderator indicates only $70. need update here.... Haha but thanks to u then we have this forum. So i guess what u can do is to try other massuers in the HML list and see if Robin is really value for money. Wish u good luck.Do remember, average cost of expenditure has gone up. Houses, rental, massage raw material and etc all have gone up. However, I still think is on the high scale overall. Will go there only, if and only if necessary. Robin might has own justifications for this price, right?:-) happy massage and relaxI went to Robin's massage yesterday and it's only $70 per hour. If it's 100 dollars, it must be 90 mins massage with aroma treatment..or something extra that you got..who know??!! Haha..

Guest Guest
I usually knock off quite late from work, and by that time, most of the men spa would have already closed as they usually close at around 11 pm and last appointment is usually 9.30 pm. It's hard to make a massage appointment past 9.30 pm.Would anyone be able to tell me if there are any men spa that operate around the clock or at least still accept appointment around 10.30 pm? I was told that I try the sauna (instead of spa) which usually open beyond 11 pm (eg: Queen Resort?) but I wonder whether saunas have therapists to provide massage service and also at such late hours. Guest Uncle
I went to Robin's massage yesterday and it's only $70 per hour. If it's 100 dollars, it must be 90 mins massage with aroma treatment..or something extra that you got..who know??!! Haha..I remember there was a time when most home-based masseurs would charge just $50 which makes sense for us to travel all the way to their apartment, now more and more home-based masseurs seem to trend towards increasing their prices. Conversely, the gay spas in town seem to offer really good discounts if you sign up with group-buying sites like locally. I really hope that more home-based masseurs will not continue to raise their prices, given that they don't have to pay shop rental or business license fees etc so that we can continue to have the right price incentive to enjoy the best of both worlds.---This thread is for discussion of massage. I edited away the names of the commercial organisations as this is OBVIOUSLY advertising. You guys are already advertising in the Business section, keep things there.Hendry TanAdmin cum Moderator
Guest massagee
On thse commercial spas, there are so many now so the competition is very keen. Hence, most will be coming out with offers (or new boys) to attract customers in order to survive. Signing packages is a big NO NO because quite a nos of them closed after operating a few years and reopen under another name. I kena before so even though it is cheaper, it is not worth the ris to sign packages. Recently, even alot of the straight spas closed down with those customers who sign packages complaining. Also you can't enjoy the latest promotions (such as the closetphobic case) and it will be definitely cheaper than your original package. Some other disadvantages are the masseurs are either less experience or newbie and their massage session is usually fix at 1hr or below and definitely won't be more than 1hr i.e u have to get out of the room on the dot (the 1hrs session includes bathing time and talking cock time so actual massage is 40mins). Having said that, some advantages would be good looking masseurs, some do have good experience. As for Homebased, usually the masseurs are very experience and most of them are highly certified(if nt some), so you can assure of the quality of the massage. Also the timing is quite flexible i.e. most masseur won't chase you out or follow strictly to 1hr session. You can enjoy the privacy during the session and walking out of his place without worrying someone might recognise you. But most Homebased are quite matured so don't expect the goodlooking ones (do have but they usually go after something extras..) Current homebased charges (on the average) are quite reasonable, I think. The highest i paid so far is 70 dollars and I still think it is worth it because each time, I spend more than 1,5hr there n paid only 70 dollars. As for spas, I do visit but not frequent as most of the time, it was very disappointing. Well, to each his own, you have to know what you want and select the type that suits you. Reading reviews by others is just a reference, you still have to try it yourself.

gymbod74
I went to Robin's massage yesterday and it's only $70 per hour. If it's 100 dollars, it must be 90 mins massage with aroma treatment..or something extra that you got..who know??!! Haha..Let me first state that I have been massaged by Robin on a few occasions and have written a field report earlier on my massage session with him.Considering his adept massage skills, the good quality scented oils he uses and the proper massage bed in his house, I feel that $70 per hour and $100 for 90min is reasonable. As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, Robin has been charging the same rate for close to 4 years now...but from my experience, he has been charging the same rate for far longer than 4 years. A quick browse through the newspapers today will reveal that inflation is rising and with it the costs of sundry items. Robin could be justified in increasing costs just so to cover the increased expenditure on his consumables. The person who asked for a discounted "austerity package" during the economic downturn deserves the snarky retort! After all, during a depression, EVERYONE is affected, including the service providers. As for whether Robin's attitude sucks, well, everyone has a day when they got off the wrong side of the bed. Even worse if a cheapskate client tries to fleece you without a valid reason. The sad reality is that the customer is still king in today's world so you are fully entitled to take your business elsewhere should you feel slighted. Just bear in mind that masseurs, just like the rest of us, are trying to make a living as well.Be well,Gymbod7424 Feb 2011

Guest Homey
VMS is Valley Men Spa. Well, looking at the recent News, our costs if living is on the rise as the economy booms. it seemed that the increase in rent everywhere will be passed on to customers. Guest Inflation
I guessed not only rental increased, how abt daily expenses. In addition, not forgetting materials for mssage such as oil, lotion, paper tower, tower, water and soap..... ( especially those like to bath b4 and aft massage ..... Think along that way then u will feel alright. Btw, I ain't a messeur. And hate it when price keep increasing....... :-) go less if affortability is a concern.Guess spa's owner shouldn't think they should be the only one justified for price increment. Home based can alsohave smaller kind of adjustment on price if they have not done that for last few years........

Guest guest
I tot Eddie is doing part time only due to his property agent career ( should be doing v well since property is so hot for the past few years). The spas in Singapore is not necessary better. Actually some of the gay/straight spas in BKK are very good much better than singapore's spas that i have tried. Their customer service are generally better than Singapore. Price, of cause, is cheaper also. Look wise, is relative i..e depends on your preference. For homebased, I think they can charge high if their service and quality of massage is good.
