Kish
I was drunk and willing, and he knew a "place" to make out. So I ended up having my first Gay Sauna visit at 12am early this morning. He obviously had been there multiple times as he knew the whereabouts and as for me, I followed him like a lost puppy on a leash. The place was sort of packed, all the seats were occupied with guys either genuinely watching some ancient Chinese movie, watching guys walk by or just sleeping (why are they sleeping here??)Everything was so dark but I guess that's the beauty right. There were guys at all corner of the maze. It was so dark that I could barely see anything. Of course the alcohol was taking its effect and I was touching every guy along the way.Finding a room was the tough part. All rooms were occupied and we finally managed to find one where a couple had just finished. We barged in and started making out only to realise that none of us had condoms. So, it ended up being a non anal pleasant encounter. We finally left the tiny room and headed for the shower. An English movie was being played on the TV. A lot of guys were still on the couch watching the movie while others were wrapped up in the towel sleeping. Why are ppl sleeping here??By the time we left, it was already 3am. Guest Guest
Did I ever share with all of you guys there was once I took bus 67, and the bus actually passes thru Serangoon Road pickling up a lot on Indian Foreing Workers , and I saw and indian man resembling a Bangladeshi worker, he has the nice skin color of a Bangla and he was smiling at me. like they all do, they are so friendly, but then I started to see 3.4 Insects crawling on his light colored shirt and recognise it is bedbugs from their shape, my thoughts instantly went to the living conditions these worrkers are subjected to. All cramp into samll living quarters , sharing a samll area, cooking and eating in the same room , getting bedbugs is not acapital crime, but it was very unnerving to see real live bedbugs crawling on the man's shirt , wherever he goes he brings it along, if we stand too close the bedbug might hitch a ride to someone standing too close to him and bring that critter home and new host for the bed bug is born. Strictly sepaking bedbugs do not transmit any disease to humans as verified by scientist , bu the intense itch that the bugs causes can drive you sleepless the whole night and the trouble of getting rid of it once it enters your house, is so troublesome , everything ahve to bewashed in hot water, beddings have to thrown away , furniture have to be steamed and curtains have to be washed some clothes that cannot be washed in hot water have to be throwm away. everyone in the house have to be treated with anti bed bugs medication, and the whoel process have to be repeated 2 weeks later to make sure newly hatched bedbugs are eradicated totally. The whole troublesome episode have to be endured by whoever is living woth you and the blaming and finger pointing can be bad for relationships. After this thought , I quickly got off the bus and took a taxi home, took a shower, and put my laundry i wore into the washing machine, and also washed my bags, and had a worrying night of sleep. I hate to say this but staying over and visiting Shogun , can expose you to a lot of insects that you might not want, bedbugs and crabs too. the fact of the matter is if you have a place with more foreign workers staying overnight, they may have bedbugs on their body or crabs in their armpits too, it is a risk you take and the troublesome things you have to do to get rid of them. I am not saying that only Indian foreign workers carry bedbugs, anyone living in cramp living conditions, where just one person carry the bedbugs can spread to evryone living in that same place . So I dont care, Chinese , Thai, filipino, malaysian, anyone living in cramp , dirty dorms can potentially bring bedbugs from their living quarters to any sauna, but Shogun offering overnight stay has the highest risk. As proven by other BWs who have said they were bitten by bedbugs while sitting on the sofa, and I have seen for myself more than one year ago, when Shogun had the services of skiiny bald guys working there, he had to spray some powerful chemical ontot he sleeping areas of shogun and flip over the mattress to air them around the 10am to 11.30 am enforced cleaning hours of Shogun, and then customers start to stream immedaitely after that inhaling the strong chemicals that they are not aware of before they enter jsut after 11.45 am. The 24 hour operations of Shogun has some pitfalls that those patronising should know. Just a reminder

Safety 1st Other saunas' closure might not be hygiene related. So I do not think it's fair to make the comparison. Other possible reasons for closure:People like me are staying home than wasting time/money/energy on it.Others are travelling to nearby Bangkok over the weekends, lots of Singaporeans at Babylon, etc.High rental and slow economyMore PLUs are settling down? yhtang
I always bring along my own condoms, or practice non-penetrative sex. So the condom is not an issue with me. As for the people there, I have met younger men, bigger sized men, Caucasian, those from the Indian Sub-continent, etc. I have always enjoyed myself, except for a couple of times. Both times I was upset by a fellow local Chinese. Such is life. Never been troubles by bed bugs, thank goodness. By the way, is the steam room operational yet? Fucking rude....why Shogun not sending him out of the door or do to WDA for training....Fat and short, yet rude. If he is a hunk, it be worst. He may be a background investor of shogun, the fat younger one who wears the boxer briefs all day, and sleeps in the rooms , never see him go back home , maybe no place to go back to, quite sad, he sleeps in the day time and he can really sleep , at least 10 hours I think and his snoring will rattle the whole floor of shogun, I hate it when he sleeps in the dark room upstairs next to the outdoor day bed area, his snoring is so loud, that it affects everyone around him, Why can't Vincent let him go home and sleep, and he is quite curt and abrupt when speaking to customers, never smiles, and he acts like the boss, maybe he is the major shareholder of SHOGUN, he comes across as rude, for a service line like Shogun, altho the interaction time is short, he never makes the effort to make you feel welcome. I think is becus he do not want unwanted attention from customers when he is up and about inside Shogun, in the past, he ever goes hunting in Shogun for sex after he wakes up from his sleep, if he is too friendly, all the gollums and trolls cannot keep their hands off him. The fatso guy works the night shift, manning the counter, where as Vincent and partner guest stars and makes Cameo appearance.

Guest guest
WELL SAID. Yes this is the Fatso...Total urn off. he thinks hes the BOSSGuys..relaks lah..try making the first move to be nice and friendly when u arrive at the counter? No need to make small talk if u dont want to but a simple nice and friendly tone will perhaps result in the return of similar treatment? I am always friendly and happy when i make the first communication with all service staff and I would say that almost all of the time i get the same treatment or even better in return, the guys at shogun included. The fatso u guys mentioned may be the quietest amongst the 4 faces i see at the counter at different times but he is definitely not nasty..in fact from the various interactions i hv w him over time, there is a nice sweet man inside. They all have different characters but none are rude to me..with one even always teasing me at the counter. The Fatso does not joke or tease but he can be caring too. I am friendly when i speak go him, apologise when he comes into the smoking room for his meals when i am smokin even thou i dont hv to apologize, and say gdbye! when i leave..in return he and every staff there have been nice to me..we dont have conversations as we are not friends..but our short interactions are nice..mayb we just need to get the friendliness out by making a start? Guest Guest
Agree with above guest.Initially when I met Andrew I had the impression he is rather rude. But I later changed my impression of him.He may look serious and quiet but when I started to greet him and returned my towels or exchanged them I always smiled to him. I would give a courteous thank you and before I leave would wish him a goodnite. So far he has never been rude to me and he will also greet me back in return with a smile. So treat the staffs politely they stay there mostly though it's their job.
gz69a
In defence of Shogun. I visit Shogun frequently but do not know the Owner nor speak to any staff. My views: - Clean, not smelly. Staff goes around and clear the bins regularly. Mattresses not smelly or sticky. Plenty of tissue paper available. - Bedbugs. Had only one incident on the 2nd floor TV large bed. So I avoid the gap between the mattresses. No bed bugs in any of the other rooms. - Sometimes someone may urinate inside the steam room. But there is a hose just outside and can be used to hose down the steam room. Very infrequent though. - Staff attitude. They are okay, say "Thank You" when I leave. Once when I arrived, they told me that sauna was not working and asked if that was okay. I decided to leave. I felt it was polite of them to tell me. No problem when exchanging towels. - Steam room now operating fine. Great place to relax and to enjoy - Condoms, etc. I do not have a problem. Can get them if I ask. Most of the time, I am not there for that kind of action anyway. - Indians. Yes, I noticed more visitors but they do not intrude. The culture at Shogun is polite. Gentle tap means "Thanks. Do not go further". A gentle push is enough to stop further action most of the time. It can happen both ways. What I like most: - The outdoor fish bowls and tanks. Great when you do not want to spend time indoors. Also the many places to lie down and rest or take a nap. The two dogs are friendly too. Overall it is a nice place. mydontay
somewhat agreed with gz69a. was there tdy for the 1st time. lucky got someone to accompany there, if not i may get lost in the maze which may be too dark for me. more small lights along all the walkways may be better. but no other unhappiness. Overall it is a nice place. somewhat agreed with gz69a. was there tdy for the 1st time. lucky got someone to accompany there, if not i may get lost in the maze which may be too dark for me. more small lights along all the walkways may be better. but no other unhappiness. Wah say, so many " Fire Fighters" for Shogun suddenly, must be Shogun staff or owner himself. No Fire, No Smoke Customers will eventually fire out, about their bad service, bed bugs issues, 2 condom Limit Policies, as many have written here....worst still the recent exodus of Indians, makes Shogun, the last place one will visit. It takes a thousand rights to amend a wrong.
You have got your head screwed on the wrong way around, you are saying the customer must be all smiling and all obliging and Er yu Feng Cheng ( speaking in a low respectful manner) to this sour prune faced Andrew before he will be nice to you in response, is not the right way of a customer and vendor relationship. You are paying Shogun to use the facilities there, now you are saying in exchange of your hard earned money, the customer still have to jump through fire lit hoops like circus animals, perform tricks to please the "master" before the master will smile in approval. If you want to be that circus animal be my guest, but at other business places , the customer is treated like royalty, at least when he is still a paying customer, the royal treatment ends when the customer leaves the business But to ask the customer to smile first before he can get a nice response from that sour prune faced Andrew, is like asking someone to get a tattoo first before he can get admitted into Zouk , doesn't make sense. The fact of the matter is when Vincent was running the show, he was polite and fair to every customer who comes and leaves, he sets the satnadard already, for his staff to follow, why the fatso prune face can get away with a sour face to face customer, just makes me wonder if the fatso has become the major shareholder of Shogun already. btmslut
Actually as a sauna goer, the only problem I have with saunas are not the "bedbugs" (have never gotten bitten before) or "old men" (it doesn't quite matter to me, anyway some old men have the skill via experience - best time I had was with old men.The problem I have with saunas are that people, regardless of age or body size, just simply love to bareback. And they do it sneakily, removing the condom while you're in doggystyle position. I find it especially so nowadays, more so at Shogun. Not sure why, but that's way beyond my comfort zone. Was there once in the morning when a btm hunk beat up another guy for sneakily removing his condom while doing the hunk doggy. Hunk was just slapping the guys head around and that poor guy was crying but no one dare to help. Consequences of being sneaky. Hahaha. Well said, after they make money from customers, at least they need to smile and said thank you. Even tissue paper uncles when u buy $ 1 worth of tissue they said thank you, not to say $12 of entry fees with a sulky face, in a morturary
Guest Guest
There are so many other saunas to choose from. If you are not happy, stop patronising.
