Have you heard of one case in Singapore whereby a medical doctor, in this case, a Specialist doctor in the field of Plastic Surgery who was suspended for three (03) months for a case of [small] speeding (driving at about 90km/hr on a 80 km/hr marked road or so) and asking his then cleaner worker to take the rap for him?? This traffic incident is totally NOT related at all to the medical practice of the doctor. In the end, was fined S$2000.00 and was suspended for three (03) months. This big case was even debated in Parliament, press release and speech was given by both the Public Prosecutor for AGC and Law Minister. The investigation phase took very long time, about five years, then in the end, just a small fine of S$2000.00. Have you heard of any case besides this one whereby a [small] speeding case which does not include any fatality taking such long time to complete the investigation??
