davecub
You can see a GP at polyclinic first. If the GP refers you to see a specialist for your medical problem, then with the specialist's medical certificate you can ask your unit chief clerk to arrange for you to see your unit MO. From there, your MO will decide whether to put you on medical board to downgrade you or not. On 8/25/2010 at 8:01 AM, Erotictales said: That's what I'm asking about. How to arrange to see the MO? It's done internally among the MOs in SAF. They will inform you of their decision by mail or phone. But Davecub is right, you need to see your GP and get him to refer you to a specialist. The specialist will assess and provide you with a letter which you can bring to your unit MO. Call your unit to arrange for this. If you go to a polyclinic, the GP will refer you to a specialist in a govt hospital. It is definitely much cheaper, but very long waiting list. The whole process takes almost a year depending on how obvious your physical problem is. Mine took more than 9 months before I finally received by covetted downgrade letter. During that period, I had my specialist excuse me from all IPPT. I am suggesting that if you aim is to get excuse from IPPT, then make sure you do it all the way to get it. 演戏,要演全套!During NS time, I have been wondering why I cannot get MC for my high fever and serious coughing while my platoon-mate can MC for 2 days by having some "ha-chwee". Later, I realized that its my own fault, my ego that thinking I am OK, I can do it but inside I am dying for a day of MC to rest. Guest Erotictales
Aiya, I know you were kidding. So was I.The truth is, what I have been doing for years is to train for a while for the IPPT, go take it, then go see doctor for the recurring pain. I've long been advised to stop running, but simply for this IPPT obligation I didn't.I have finally decided that there is no point sacrificing my legs for this sort of thing. All these glamour of this is your country, fly you flag, feel proud etc etc. Very difficult to remember them when the administrators take every chance to humiliate and incriminate and abuse you. Guest Guest
Dun say ippt gold, i never pass my napha in sch b4 and never pass ippt at all in bmt and nsf days. Only manage a pass (first time) right before ord. Those days cant be bothered with everything in life really. Just eat sleep and slack life away After ord, i realise i hv enough of failing ippt and also because of the pressure of looking good in the circle (who dun wanna look good if given a chance and its ur choice), i started to go gym and run more. After awhile i go gym with the mentality of building up my strength and improving my fitness, the results of looking good is secondary. Luckily i never get to smell rt, my first ippt after ord gt pass, second one got incentive and then third one gt silver (first time in my life) and subsequently silvers. Now i am trying to aim for gold cos i always just miss by abit only.Last time ippt to me is horror, now i realise ippt is quite easy if u are prepared. kys0n
Pull up is just...about pulling everyday. Just keep doing multiple sets daily till ur shag and continue tomorrow. Since you could do 12 previously, you'll get it back in no time.2.4 is simple. Just run interval, if not just force yourself to run about 2.6km every other day. You'll see the improvements (as long as you keep time, so as to inspire yourself).

Guest Guest
My own tips for pull ups:1) always do it first during ippt cos it uses the most strength2) breathe in when going up, helps me in the last few struggling ones3) use the cloth provided at the side (if there is one) to wipe away sweat at the bar and grip ur bar tightly. might just help u to do an extra one.4) tilt ur chin up abit, not sure if it helps u guys but it helps me mentally for the final fewAlso feel tt pulling with ur palm facing u is easier than the normal style (pulling with palm facing out). For trainings, other than keep pulling, lat pull down and inverted rows will help too. Google if u dunno what is it.I have seen very big muscular bulky guys cant do pull up at all! Makes me wonder is pull up really just about strength!

If your bmi is too high they will go and check your fat percentage which also is pretty inaccurate cause there's no real way to accurately measure it. That's mostly how they distinguish A from B1.
