I think I need to move out soon. My landlord keep on giving me signals after he found out I’m gay but he is not my type. He started being topless and sometimes wearing boxers only in the living room. He often keep his bedroom door open and see him sleeping in his undies. He is in his mid-50s, big belly and white hair. He has funny smell also. I really don’t like to have fun with him no matter what!

lesson learned never get any single gay landlord in gay apps specially those late 30s up. they are the most difficult people to deal with, not just once and not just my story. thats probably why they are still single.

just to share: came across with this old gay single guy who is renting out and posting in fb about his horrible experience with his tenant  later i find out that he is a total mental and have serious attitude problem so now i cant imagine how his tenant life with him.

Just make sure u lock your door when u sleeping....your lease ending? Otherwise u may not get back your deposit....is not difficult to find another landlord and a younger one probably.

Remember how the Sri Lankan landlord ended up with 6 years jail and 3 strokes.

Don't read and response to guests' post

LOL. I remember when I used to rent somewhere near Balestier. My landlord so stingy and have several locks in the main door. He also lock my door outside if I’m not home by 11pm. One time he forgot that I’m already home and locked my door outside. I can’t go out so I peed in a bottle and waited for him to unlock my door the next day.

What if you needed to poo?

My partner & I  once rented a master bedroom from a landlord in his late 50s at Pasir Ris. The 2 toilets are joined back to back & has a tiny hole in between at the top. When showering, I always feel very insecure. Once (and only once) my partner & I have sex during our shower. Next day he immediately claimed that the shower panel was damaged & he has to engage a repairman which cost him $80. He wanted me to reimburse him with the amount. I told him  I will pay if he could provide the receipt, which he couldn’t.  He then claimed that he will waive it off. Another time, he asked if we do 3-way, which I told him no. He also always  come into our room to use my laptop, dressed in boxer & topless.

One night at 2am, he used his master key to try to unlock our door when we were sleeping. Thankfully, I am a light sleeper & woke up to confront him. His reason; to check if we are at home!

We moved out within the next few days!

OMG, imagine you woke up and found him naked sleeping between you and your bf. Scarier than Sadako crawling out from a TV

I must say I am a very nice landlord.

I make it a point to tell my tenants:

"I know everyone has needs. You can bring people back, but you must inform me beforehand."

So far, I don't care if my tenant is male or female....as long as they bring people back, I know likely to have sex going on.

Let them loh...

Told my landlord we had ants and he said “We cannot kill them. We can not outsmart them. They have been here longer than us. They will find a way.”

Hello. I moved to this common room with chinese couple landlords 3 months ago. Yesterday, i went out to meet friends and I came home after midnight. This morning while i'm preparing my bfast, the lady asked me where did i go. Asking me why i didn't tell them where will go. I told her it is non of their business. She said it should be part of the courtesy that i should tell them where i will go everytime i leave the house.

So to finish the conversion, i told her that i went to see my uni friends at Tampines. Then she continued to drill where in Tampines and even asked for their names. Isn't it too much questioning?

Uncle then said they need to know so that if they need something in the house, they will ask me to pass by shops on my way back.

Auntie and uncle are on their 60s and no child but only cats.

I'm planning to move out soon.

Tell them you are not their son and you don't have to account to them for your movements. Nor are you obligated to buy things for them.

That's the problem with some people. They can't draw the line between business and personal matters.

While in KL for a spell I rented an apartment from an elderly couple. they are distrustful and will call my company to check

When I was leaving the company and wanted to terminate my stay, they called my company to check if I really quit. I had to get an official letter.

Quite annoying these couple and their rude agent.

I rent a room in Singapore, luckily my landlord is gay so I don't have to hide.

Earlier when I moved in I will tell him out of courtesy like I'm going out to gay club etc. Not sure what time will be back etc. Just so he don't worried that I got into accident etc.

Then again my parents back in my home town also rent out my room. And they keep gossiping about the tenant go where. Didn't come home. Got gf or not. Etc. Keep gossiping and speculate... They worried the guy bring back girl after midnight etc... Those crazy thoughts.

Anyway I told my parents, they rent a room or they stay with you.... My parents feel like it's their responsibility to look out for the tenant.

Then one weekday night my landlord didn't come home. And I'm like a bit worried cause usually last time when he go on holiday he will let me know. But this time was like Tuesday night no where to be seen. I texted him asking is he alright. He told me he went to Bangkok holiday out of the blue and won't be back until next week.

Imagine if I didn't do anything and my landlord is lying at some ditch, stabbed and dying etc.... Then police will suspect me why I never report or find it weird that he never come home few nights etc...

But then again if you have nothing to hide also no worries. But I'll make it clear with my landlord since I'm an adult that where I go is my personal freedom and they need to respect that. If they have a problem with that they need to let me know so I can move out. Ofc I'll make it like they have a problem not me....

And then still move out anyway.

To have friendly landlords is one thing, but there has to be a boundary.  I would not like to be questioned that way, since the landlord and the tenant are not related.

If I were the tenant facing such landlords, I would move out too.

LOL. Similar to my old lady landlord a decade ago. Everytime I go on business trip, auntie will ask me to buy and bring this and that. She was jolly and friendly to me but it was really annoying for those favors considering the bulky items that she asked to buy like bags, vase, chocolates in tin case, etc.

My landlord even asked me to clear their dishes in the kitchen sink if so happen there is once i do my own dishes.

I usually eat inside my room. Then I notice that they usually eat just ahead of me and they left their dirty dishes in the kitchen sink knowing that I soon have to wash my dishes.

If they asked you if you might pass by some XXX YYY shops can help them get ZZZ before you leave the house, then I think its acceptable. But then again you are just a tenant, not their servant, so they have no right to check on where you go or who you meet.

What to do if landlord always ask foelr advance rental payment? One time he ask me to pay something using my credit card. He said he'll pay right away but 2 months have passed already and he hasn't pay. Not even less it from rent.

My other housemate just moved out yesterday. When my housemate was around then, I used to walk naked conveniently between bathroom and toilet when they are still sleeping in the early morning. Only will bump into them if they wake up early too or I wake up late a bit. Can see that they are not used to it. Sometimes when I wear boxer brief, my landlord will ask me to wear a short if he called me out to the living room.

Then I slowly changed to wear boxer short. But still dont know why will have erection whenever I face to face talking to him. And he noticed that too. Sometimes I will just hide it with my pillow if he asked me out to help him with something.

But yesterday after my housemate moved out already. I can see a big change in him. When I was showering he will ask me something to show me something that I have no choice but to open a bit the door. Then after shower wrapped in towel, we still talking and he noticed my bulge. Or was looking for my bulge.

He also purposely (i feel) scratch his dick. I'm not attracted to him. But maybe I was exhibitionist. Before this I was so excited to try to walk naked or underwear or to show my manliness in term of my physical body. But now I was afraid, if he shows interest in me.

I just like to exhibit my physical body but have no desire to have any fun with my landlord. I do not want to spoil or mess up this landlord tenant relationship.

You like to exhibit at home, and in doing so teased others, and u expect what, no reactions from them?

If u like to just exhibit without drawing much approaches from others, I suggest u do it in public places like swimming pool toilets. Exhibit all u want there, and no one will touch u as long as there r crowd there.

You are acting out exhibitionist tendencies in front of your landlord.

This is not a good idea because you are in a trapped environment.  If things go sour, you may have to move out quickly.

Now that things have started, what is your best hope of the outcome?  You continue cock teasing your landlord?  You hope your landlord pretends he does not care?

This is a sticky situation, but the solution, if there is one, would depend on the outcome that you hope for.

Guest Big no no

Wow this is very bad.

I once rented a room with a gay landlord house.

I never interacted with him much. Or ever.

Then one morning he just snuck into bed and hug me... While I'm sleeping.

I'm like wtf. He said "stress". It was like 6 am or so and I was still half dead. I feel back to sleep. Don't even remember what happened next. Did I wake up to go shower? Or did he leave after I show no interest. Can't remember.

Next day I started looking for a new accommodation. I had just moved in recently so not much stuff was settled. I have pretty much just a suitcase of clothes. That's it.

Found a new place. Moved out that same week. This was in a very close by unit near jurong point.

My friend knows a guy in his 20s who ever rented a room (in SG). The flat had another tenant who was already there, a guy in his 30s.

After some time, the newer tenant started to notice that he often had wet dreams.

At first, he just brushed it off, since he is very busy and tired with work everyday and doesn't have the mood to jerk off, so he thought maybe that's why always got wet dreams.

It went on for quite a while until the older tenant abruptly moved out, and then, like some weird coincidence, the wet dreams also seemed to stop.

Months later, when he was chatting with the landlord, they mentioned the older tenant.

That's when the landlord confessed that he had kicked out the older tenant because one night, he caught him rubbing the younger guy's crotch through his shorts!

This one time I rented a room from a gay landlord. I was a tanned swim hunk.. And I guess the landlord couldn't resist me.

One day I woke up feeling like someone is hugging me. And I was shocked it's my landlord... I have no idea how long he has slept in my bed and hugged me...

I woke him up and confronted him and ask what happened?

He said "I feel very stress can hug abit."

I said "no please leave my room now"

Then that evening I started packing to move out. It was like one week since I stayed there. Deposit etc.

I told the landlord I need my deposit back and etc I'll move out to hotel. I was still a student so light stuff and haven't really "moved" in yet.

I also was ready to tell him that I will report police if he don't return my deposits.

Luckily he returned all my deposits etc. And I left.

Can you imagine if I stayed... He would probably start raping me at night if he thinks it's okay to just sneak into your tenants bed and hug them because of "stress"

Sounds so scary renting a room. Even lock the room door also no use since the landlord would have the key to open the room door. Think if want to rent, best is to rent whole unit.

If want freedom, need to pay much more money on rental. Room rental is so much cheaper than whole unit.
