Nobody will complain if they see guys with nice bods running topless. However, people will complain if they see guys with not so nice bods running topless.

This is true, no one would complain or stomp if the guy's bod is nice or his face is cute.

yes but i do see ppl running topless but i do no see them having a shirt in their hand or around their waist, so where they put their shirt?

some guys who specifically ride or drive to the reservoir parks etc. might leave their shirts in their cars or bikes. Some guys might just leave their shirt on a bench and then go for their run but that can be dangerous as someone might steal their shirt. I've kena once.

actually, that's quite true. but i think this is mostly from women. they want to see eye candy but then again who can really define what is attractive. a lean, muscled body with 6 pack might appeal to some but a buff, stronger one with no visible abs can appeal to others. it really boils down to preference.

however, i think a bigger reason for not seeing many guys jogging topless is because clothes have become more of a status symbol now then maybe 15-20 years ago. especially with fitness wear. the latest brands of sports apparel has become quite popular and more men want to be seen in it.

so rather than showcase your fit body, more people want to show off their expensive clothes. however, its still nice to see that there a lot of guys who don't care much about their workout clothes. ive seen a lot of guys wear their army running shorts and military singlets while in the gym or while outdoors. so i guess there's still hope. ;)

because i saw ppl running topless at my neighbourhood, i wonder if they go down topless lor.

If their house downstairs is PCN, quite likely they would go down topless from their home.

"Wah go running ah? Very fit a ah boy. " stuff like that but only a few occasions. So instead of wearing a singlet just for that few minutes I just decided to take the stairs. Since i only live on 8th story not too much of a big deal.

I admit I do have an exhibitionist streak but I don’t want to force it on others, so I’ll take the stairs down instead of the lift. I usually jog around 11pm and have a park just across the carpark too so it’s not too bad.

Should be around late 40s or early 50s.  Normally, this type of fit uncles look younger than their actual age.

Looks like many guys in their late 40s and early 50s maintain quite well.

It's kinda ironic that it's socially awkward to be seen topless in public or shy to be topless, but yet feel compelled to be topless in social media, no? Haha 😆

Regardless of what branded running gear or how good the material is, nothing beats the coolness and liberation of running topless. Your upper body feels opened, more taut and circulates better.

Something I realised is that it's the men who usually look whenever I ran past them, not so much of the women. Eyes tell.

Yup, it feels much better to run shirtless. It’s more practical as you don’t have to do so much laundry, feels more comfortable, and it’s more motivating too.

agreed, don't know why so many guys esp those with nice and fit bod, you don't see them run topless outside and yet they love to flaunt their topless bod in IG, social media. And usually those who run topless mostly are middle age guys and above. Youngsters very seldom run topless.

IG is a business and these guys know how to use it to their advantage.

most topless runners are older guys including myself as I'm in my 30s now. however, during my runs I have seen some younger guys who run topless. they look like they could be around JC/Poly or NS age but I can't be completely sure 100%.

guy like to flaunt their fit bodies on social media for attention and not to mention the endorsements that will come their way if they manage to market themselves well.

totally agree. nothing beats exercising topless. the feeling is second to none. it's liberating and quite addictive. it feels especially great to exercise topless in the hot sun.

I think men usually look because they want to look and compare if their bodies look better, fitter. with men it's always a competition, no matter what. a good physique is always a source of admiration.

Best part about running topless is definitely not doing as much laundry. Ever since the pandemic and working from home became a norm, I've really cut down on laundry. except for wearing a shirt during the occasional zoom meetings my default attire is just boxer shorts.

and yes exercising topless is so comfortable. I mean after exercising topless for so many years, I sometimes find it weird when I do have to wear a shirt when I go to the gym. But no choice since it's a rule.

Still have JC/Poly or NS age guys running topless but i think not many. Most guys who run topless still middle age guys.

Actually if you got used running topless, you would not used to wearing a top to run, you would be default take off your top to run no matter where you run. Last time i have a camp mate, during every PT run in the camp, he always default topless. And when he went to uni after NS, also saw him default run topless in the school, never see him wear a top to run since i know him.

Men will look at men if they want to compare how their body looks against other people body. Gays will definitely take a look at topless guys to compare.

I have been too shy during younger days and never topless outside. I always envy those topless fit guy who keep showing off their body outside than put pic in their facebook and instagram. The craving to be like them is so great that i finally break out of my comfort zone.

Running topless can constantly help reminding me of the need to be constantly fit and healthy as everyone can see how your body is. Once topless, the feeling of running with a shirt which is sticky and heavy with sweat becomes so uncomfortable that you will no longer want to run with a shirt any more.

I remembered when I was a kid I went Bedok for swimming everyday.

that time, Bedok swimming pool changing area has open concept showering facility. Everyday I can see tanned fit guy showering naked there. With sexy tanned lines with white white buttock. So sexy until my saliva drool. That’s how young kid like me grows to like guys.

so better not flaunt your sexy hot bods to contour young boys

i guess we need to admire the men's confidence for wearing something that doesn't leave much to imagination. Perhaps from his perspective it's something quite normal for him to wear during exercise. If you look back at the 70s-80s, the exercise outfits were a lot more provocative for men with form fitting high cut shorts, crop tops and leotards. It was the norm for men to workout topless even in gyms.

And it was an era this man was a youth and having maintained a great physique through time, I guess he just wants to keep up what he's been doing as a youth, even his sartorial choices. My only concern is that we might have too many people negatively reacting to this and some ridiculous law comes along where men are forced to wear long pants or shorts that isn't shorter than a certain length in public.

A worse scenario would be if they stop men from going topless except in pools or beaches. That would be really bad for guys who prefer to exercise topless at park connectors, fitness corners as most gyms here don't allow it. Hopefully, it won't come to that.

So far no written rule that states that topless are not allowed in public except pools/beaches. But there is still unwritten rule that many people are frown on guys going topless when they exercise outside. But still get to see many guys running topless along the esplanade area in the afternoon.

Just now i go Geylang river to do topless pull up after the rain stops and saw a perfectly lean fit topless guy run past. His face is also very handsome. I would have jog beside him if i am wearing running shoes lol. Seems like everyone rush to go out to exercise for the short duration of the rain stopping.

Running will still sweat even if the weather is cold. Many of us dont like our shirt sticky and heavy on us when we exercise.

We are a pluralistic society and secular country. Having said that, its true that many guys in Singapore are generally conservative and wont take off shirt no matter how humid it is. But likewise, we wont likely to have people telling us off if we do. So there, good things to those who are braver

If it's what you're used to normally, cold weather wouldn't stop you. I've ran topless in the early morning when it's pretty chilly but after a few minutes your body warms up and you're fine.

Totally agree. When you're exercising vigorously the last thing you want is a sweaty shirt sticking to your body. This is why I prefer running outdoors and fitness corner workouts to working out in the gym since you have the option of being topless.

You are right. The reason why most local guys keep being shirtless to their homes and perhaps during their outdoor workouts is because of our upbringing and being inherently conservative. Since we are not as restrictive as other societies it would be nice for guys to be braver.

Also because very few guys a good body to confidently show off and can't resist good food in our paradise. Maintaining a good ripped body is just very hard.

Personally I prefer to just put on a tank top and jog.

It absorbs the sweat and doesn't get my sweat dripping on anything or anyone, before or after the jog, in case I need to drop by somewhere to get stuff.

And yes, don't have a good bod to show either. 😂

The younger generation seems to be more conservative and won't not topless anyhow. Those who are born before the mid 80s perhaps more willing to be topless outside while exercising. Younger generation only like to show their topless body in their IG.

You can still wear your tank top but take it off when you jog and wear it back after your jog.
