I don't think its illegal, but its a very grey area. Outrage of modesty could be used against you.. but then if you have a good excuse for being shirtless I guess you can get away with it. I guess if you walk into certain places with security guards they may chase you out.. reminds me of this video I saw on youtube, 111 guys went topless shopping at Abercombie & Fitch in NYC.. and although that company uses a lot of topless made models in their marketing, their staff refused to serve those men.. just google "abercombie shirtless" and there'll quite a number of articles on it. I realized that in places like geylang, u can easily find a shirtless man, often with tattoos selling durians at those durian stalls which u can find in Sims ave... Don't tell me woman doesn't patronize that place? When I was young I always follow my mum to the wet market and a lot of those uncle stallowners also hawk out shirtless.

But 7-11 I've done it personally, have seen guys after jogging doing that too. Lottery station too. Coffee shop also, both younger guys and uncles.

I met up with Decent_Guy just now, quite an interesting experience for me. My first time walking into 7-11 and buying a drink and cigarettes shirtless.. I met him for a smoke at a void deck in bedok shirtless, there were some people walking about going home, walked past me, quite thrilling. After a chatting at the tables we walked over to 7-11.. funny thing was the lady at the counter was new, and she didn't know how to activate the NETS machine, and i only had my atm card.. so i stood there as she tried afew times then finally made a call to her superior to find out how to activate the machine, so we were just standing there for about 5 minutes waiting for her.. but she was quite friendly and apologized for making us wait. Quite a thrilling first time experience!

Yes it's an interesting experience for both of us as it seems that we provide courage for one another ya...first time I had stay inside for so long thanks to that new staff. I donned my jogging shoes and FBT shorts and walked into 7-11 to buy things and walk around.

Not many people were there but the few who were looked at me with a strange look.

One of them kept looking at my body as he paid at the cashier.

The one in front of me was arguing with the cashier over the price of a chocolate, so I had to stand there topless for a while.

Perhaps if one of you guys were also with me, it would be more thrilling.....

I met up with decent_guy again several days back.. this time I met him wearing jeans and shirtless, he was wearing running shorts.. it was about 2am, we went to a shop & save somewhere in bedok.. what an experience! First I went to withdraw money, there were some people walking around but they didn't seem to care about us.. when we went into shop & save to buy drinks, we were surprised when the cashier asked us in mandarin in a friendly way why didn't we have shirts. I told her we just had some drinks and were feeling very hot and she said she thought it was some special occasion.. haha.. and then she told us in malaysia it is quite common but in sg it is very rare thats why she was surprised to see us shirtless.

It was quite an interesting experience, and the cashier provided great service too. At first we were so nervous and afraid that people might shoot us dirty looks!

Another thing is while we were smoking and drinking under a void deck, decent_guy told me that he saw 2 guys in their early twenties, walking past a very crowded area in bedok, past a macdonalds and finally going into a coffeeshop to have their dinner shirtless at 7pm.. one of them was holding a basketball and they were both very sweaty.. but I think that is very daring of them to have their dinner shirtless in a crowded area at a peak time! We need to have more shirtless people around
