Guest Dev
I believe everybody's skin is different. What would work for some would not necessarily work for the others. The best is to get yourself shown to a skin specialist rather than spending hoards on over the counter medication. And there is no such thing as a good dermatologist or bad one, all are equally qualified. Just because you went to one and he prescribed something that doesn't work for your skin doesn't make him a bad dermatologist. I was prescribed benzoyl peroxide and it didn't work, then the doc gave me a combination of tretinoin and clindamycin which changed my life completely. Guest Guest
Don't believe in those topical products which claim to be able to improve scars, they don't work. The best treatment is still fractional laser, from what I have tried so far. Quite a few guys here recommend fractional laser. Where is the cheapest place in Singapore to get this treatment and what is the cost? I got bad acne scars that spoil my confidence but i dun have much cash to burn. Thanks for helping. Guest guest bb
Do u hv oily skin and acne? If u do go see a doctor and ask him to prescribe roacutane. It's a medicine that treat acne by reducing your oil gland. There might be some side effects. Like your eyes get too dry and if u wear contact lens. Your lens may stuck on your eye ball. Those who on roacutane shd hv blood test every 3 months to see if the drug do sny harm to your liver.Personally I took this for some time and hv no side effect. The oily skin really gone and no more acne. Some laser treatment can help too.

I am rather sure there are people in the community that would focus more on comparability (in terms of personality) rather than just on looks alone. That said, if you find that the pitted scars had affected your confidence, then as suggested by Gaia, there are currently treatments available to treat pitted scars. For quick fixes, fillers like restaylene may work but are usually short term and would require touch ups every 6months to a year. For Long term solutions, chemical peels or fractional co2 laser could be considered, depending on the severity of it. For co2 laser, usually a minimum of 3 sessions (a month between each session) are required to see some noticeable effects. There will be some downtime involved and adequate post treatment care should be adhered to. Do also ensure that on a going forward basis, you do not squeeze your acne/pimple as that is what precisely creates those pits. Hope this helps. vvww

How long do the scars last? I believe like any other scars, it really depends on how well your skin recovers. Time it takes and how well the final scar looks depends on your skin. You could do with Vitamin E lotions or supplements to aid in the recovery, or if it's on your face then you could go for facial treatments that can help heal your skin from within. Every facial centre has lasers but ultimately it depends on our skin and your budget. Lasers are more costly and get rid of scars faster, but it also 'cuts' your skin. Too many sessions can make your skin very weak and more susceptible to sun damage. The one I'm attending isn't a laser treatment. It's an actual facial where they prepare a mixture and apply it to your face, then usually each session is about 1-2hours. lovehandle

Guest Guest
If you still have acne I recommend you use Sulfur soap for face and body It hv antibacterial property and very effective in curing acne skin. Highly recommended. If you hv acne scars. I recommend fractional Co2 laser treatment. The downtime is quite serious for abt 1 week. But the results is amazing. Depending on your condition a few session is needed. Results guaranteed as I have tried it myself. Rhyn
First identify if the acne is blackheads, whiteheads or cystic acne. if it's black/white heads, the following two chemicals will help. If it's cystic acne, there's nothing much you can do about that. Benzoyl Peroxide is a direct answer to acne: it is an antibacterial agent that targets specific acne and is clinically proven to lessen spots over time. Dab onto areas repeatedly to let the formula sink in, but use a 5% or lesser amount because it can be too dying for your skin. Salicylic acid is another antibacterial agent that penetrates into the pore and allows for deeper cleansing/material application. Apply both for most effective acne busting effects. Guest Guest
I agree salicylic acid work. I have tried a few brands but particularly like STRIDEX It''s easy to use. Come in a container with 90 cotton pads. I only it at night after cleaning. Wipe it lightly on my face to remove dead skin and access oil on face. Then follow by toner and moisturiser. Ever since I started using it I hardly get break out. The good thing I'd it's cheap. About $8 per container and can use for 3 months.

It might work, although you should note that it has the same drying properties. My best answer is to try a certain product or a combination of more than two and watch how your face reacts between 2-3 weeks. Also, I should highlight that only using products for acne is not enough. You should first understand what is the type of skin you have (oily, normal, combination, etc). From there, work out a regime that’s suited for your skin. For example, if you have oily skin, get a facial wash that is targetted for oily skin to clear off the excess oil your face develops. Then pair it with a moisturiser that inhibits oil production. Your facial regime, preferably twice a day, needs a base of a facial wash and moisturiser. In between those, put your pimple cream. A mask might help as well! bluefish20008 1 Tech Reviewer on Rhyn Reviews and YouTube: https://youtube.com/rhynreviews.

It's moisturising, have antibacterial properties, all natural with no other added ingredients. Purely made from shea butter only so it doesn't irritate skin. I have been using it for years and it's wonderful. I usually use it at night as the last step of my routine as moisturiser. I apply a thick layer. It feel oily and I put a towel on top of my pillow. Then change that towel every other days. You will wake up with smooth and moisturised skin. You will amazed that those fine wrinkles are gone. It doesn't clog your pores. Heal acne too. Good for eczema skin too. Beside using it on my face. I use it to replace my hair gel or hair wax. Use as my lip balm. Apply it on my elbow n nails. Basically it's for my whole body. It's depends on how much time you can spare, and how many steps your regime calls for. Basic regime I would suggest Facial Cleanser > Toner > Moisturizer. Then from there you can mix and match what suits you, you can add in serums or creams that target oily or dry skin etc. But yes, I can also intro you to the facial I go to. I'm already at my last session so I know my skin has improved. If anyone's interested can PM me before the end of Feb :
