Yah, I also get the impression that he's a very good husband & father. He's one of the more down-to-earth and decent people in the PAP. That's why he got kicked out of Lee Hsien Loong's cabinet. The PAP wants spineless yes-men with no conscience; Tan Chuan-Jin has too much backbone & conscience, so they had to get rid of him without appearing to do so (hence the nice-sounding Speaker of Parliament post). Anyway, check out the below recent video of him. Apparently when he posted it on his FB, it caused quite a stir because of the shorts! During the circuit breaker, I saw a lot of young guys wearing those very short running shorts coming out to buy food during lunch & dinner time! Some of them were with their gfs/wives! One young and cute guy's running shorts was so short that I could see the white built-in underwear of his black shorts when I was standing behind him (he was also standing).
