If you have his whatsapp number I don't know why you don't make a police report.

 

It should be easy for the police to identify him from his whatsapp number (which is linked to a local mobile number).

 

Tell them that you booked a massage service but he scammed you for payment but never delivered the service.

 

You don't need to tell what sort of massage you were looking at or where you got his whatsapp contact.

 

I wouldn't let any such guy walk away with my money like this...

You can have the contact from some other time.

Don't say you got the contact from gay app.

 

Copy out the whatsapp messages where the guy ask for the payment, show your payment confirmation. Copy the message where the guy confirmed the booking.

If I encounter a masseuse like this, I will look for others. There are many trees in the jungle, choose which ones wisely.

Never pay for the deposit. There got many other masseur have good skill, don't because he put good shape body profile then you lose your mind ok, take it as a lesson

In some countries this is even very common (Thailand, Indonesia, also Malaysia). It is common that they have a payment desk (with a sort of Massage Mama san sitting there 😂, collecting the money upfront...)

 

Actually, you don't know what you will get afterwards also. 😂

 

Guess there are plenty here who still got a lousy massage and were cheated their money.

(There are reports at this Travel section, where a 90 mins massage was agreed, but the massage was just half the time...or someone promised HJ or BJ but the masseur didn't do... it all happens.)

 

Plenty of the smarter masseur guys will ask for upfront pay to avoid later falling out or getting deductions because the customer was not happy with the services or those who love to renegotiate prices when the service was already rendered etc...

The ad was on a dating app not a physical in-person massage centre.

I would never transfer money in advance to someone I've only had contact with on a dating app.

I'm sorry to hear the OP was scammed by someone advertising massage services on the app.  In fact it's quite possible the ad description, photos and promise of massage services were all fake, and it's simply a money making scam.

Plenty of similar scams operate out of Nigeria, so the advertiser could in fact be based anywhere (for example by using a VPN to mask their real location).

Unfortunately the lesson here is not to transfer money to anyone you've interacted with solely online.

From that I don't think he had entertained him and paid if it had been a Non Malaysian number.

Therefore, I doubt the scam was from any Nigerian gang.

For any online payment, the scammer would also need a bank account within Malaysia (if you pay through the hp number).

 

Probably a Malaysian (or resident in Malaysia) who just tried to suck out his money in the expectation that the OP would not make any police report.

 

Unfortunately @sl39 never wrote by what channel he paid the guy upfront and whether the mobile number was a Malaysian number. Hopefully it wasn't Senang Pay because OP never got senang!

As to my best technical understanding you won't be able to Whatsapp to any masked number or create any whatsapp account with a masked number.

I add some word to say is the scammer phone number he send me is Malaysian number. I won't add if the phone number is not local.

How I send the money? I transfer money to him through the tng not using the bank account number to transfer. After the incident I take all the proof to report and block him.

People can easly identify here at BW who the real troublemaker is.

 

Imm_georgie is resentful and eagerly vindictive (just on a simple reaction to one of his posts).

 

My aim is more for: 要爱，不要战争 !

 

Maybe learning to control temper / anger management would be a good start...

 

He doesn't even know my age, has never seen me in person and calls other people he doesn't know nasty names.

 

And probably I am surely not a 新 脚 轮  because I am much longer around the block at BW ...

 

Last note:

It is unfair to claim that I am a troublemaker because of threads in the Flaming Room,

when I am actually the one who is/was repeatedly trolled by a certain mental Guest.

Read properly! (maybe someone else has the problems in understanding posts? )

The thread in the Flaming Room is exactly for that reason titled:

I enquired once, and got a reply saying their location was a room at the Mercure hotel at Tanjung Bungah.  They don't have a proper massage table.   You just lie on the bed.

That was exactly my point: It is just a discussion forum.

Anyone can voice their opinion (even if you don't like it!).

But shouldn't get into such fights or vindictive spamming on responses to the threads. It doesn't serve anything.
