Follow-up single by the Military Wives...

In My Dreams - The Military Wives & JonJo Kerr (2011 X Factor's finalist)

It's written by the same composer of Wherever You Are - Paul Mealor,

it is a love song between a solider and his partner while they are apart longing to be together again.

Here are the lyrics:

In My Dreams

Words & Music: Paul Mealor

As I lie here, at night,

As my eyes give-in to sleep,

As I dream of you, here in my arms,

I’m holding you, loving you.

As you sleep there, my love,

As your eyes give-in to rest,

As you dream of me, there in your arms,

I’m holding you, loving you.

In my dreams, you’re in my arms,

In my dreams, my heart is holding you; Feeling you; loving you,

In my dreams, you’re always there,

In my dreams our love will never die; always you; always love; In my dreams.

All alone here, I lie,

As the darkness falls around,

As I think of you, and your warm embrace; I’m home again; ever safe.

In my dreams, you’re in my arms,

In my dreams, my heart is holding you; Feeling you; loving you;

In my dreams.

In the United Kingdom, Christmas number ones are singles that are top of the UK Singles Chart in the week in which Christmas Day falls.

Musicians and pressure groups view having a Christmas number one as being especially prestigious, more so than any other time of year.

Many of the Christmas number ones were also the best-selling song of the year.

Military_wives_wherever_you_are_%282011%29.jpg

This year with the UK X Factor winner not releasing their single on this week, the week before Christmas,

the single by the Military Wives Choir with Gareth Malone, is all set to claim the Christmas #1.

Already #1 in the UK iTunes Single chart,

and having broken sales records in becoming the most pre-ordered music item ever on the UK Amazon website,

let's see if it could fight off competition from the likes of The Nirvana(?!!!) amongst others...

(#1 in 2011?)

Nothing much to say in this week's Top 5,

it's almost static, except for Nicki Minaj who has climbed up to #5 with Starship.

Nicki who?!!!

I would rather blast my iTunes with the 2 Mint Royale tunes below than listening to her...

Singin' In The Rain - Mint Royale

British girl band Atomic Kitten have apparently reformed!!!

Right Now - Atomic Kitten

Whole Again - Atomic Kitten

Atomic Kitten shot to fame in 1999 when their first single Right Now debuted at Number 10 in the Official Singles Chart.
To date, they have had 13 Top 10 hits, including three Number 1 singles.
The biggest selling track is Whole Again which has sold over 980,000 copies in the UK alone in 2001. Edited by steppenwolf

For those who are not familiar with the UK Singles chart,

it is compiled purely based on sales achieved (not airplay or ‘buzz’).

The Official Charts Company counts sales daily from over 6,000 retailers covering 99% of the singles market,

from HMV to iTunes and Amazon, supermarkets and independent record stores.

To mark the 60th anniversary of the UK’s Official Singles Chart in 2012,

the Official Charts Company had launched the Official Singles Chart Number 1 Award at the tail-end of last year.

The weekly award is a unique trophy cast from industrial brushed metal and shaped to reflect the Official Charts Company icon,

which combines two arrows which overlap to create a number 1 (clever!) – the most important position in the charts.

he's #1 for a fourth consecutive week, five weeks non-consecutively!

So far, his charting positions have been 36-21-7-3-1-3-1-1-1-1,

let's hope the follow-up single can be as strong as this one.

Meanwhile, here's a track taken from his current album, Making Mirrors...

This video gave me headache while watching it,

I do apologise if it did the same to you too.

Dear Kylie had a somewhat similar video too,

but without the headache, enjoy this one.

Faced with a tight budget, Graham Coxon (of Blur) asked fans worldwide to send him videos of them walking and dancing down the street.

Video director Ninian Doff then picked and edited 85 videos from 22 countries into a nifty animated collage.

The video combines parts of the 85 fans into a single two dimensional dancer,

which has the head and torso from one fan and the legs of another.

The video editing is meticulous – yet has a fun DIY feel to it like a collage brought to life, enjoy!

Bubbling lower down the charts,
we have a tune belonging to the acid house piano riff and big soulful vocal of the summer 90s-tinged rave anthems era...
