Here's mid-week's Top 5...

#1 (new) Wings - Little Mix
#2 (faller) Bom Bom - Sam & The Womp
#3 (climber) Good Time - Owl City/Carly Rae Jepsen
#4 (faller) How We Do (Party) - Rita Ora

#5 (new) Last Night - Lucy Spraggan

Last night I told you I loved you, woke up blamed it on the vodka
I generally thought I was dying and I could see that smile you were hiding
Last night I told you I need you, that's the last time I drink tequila
Super lemon and his physic salt kit, I start crying and verbally assaulting
Last night I asked you to marry me, that's when I remembered the brandy
I wake up and claim I didn't say it, screwed if I ever wake up in Vegas

Wish I could stop and I'm not joking
Drinking too much and socially smoking
Wish I could stop an start to behave and then wake up in the morning and never miss a day again

Last night I called you a loser, I think that was after flaming sambuca
I shouted at you 'do me a favor' and that's when I fell off the pavement

Wish I could stop and I'm not joking
Drinking too much and socially smoking
Wish I could stop an start to behave and then wake up in the morning and never miss a day again

Cause I'd love to learn when to shut my mouth
Wake up in the morning and be in my own house
Do one last shot and know when to stop
No more photo's on facebook of me doing the robot
No when to leave and when to lock my front door
Stop waking up in cheese and in a bed full of people
Sitting in a cupboard with my weird bestfriend
But I'm only young so I'm not gonna pretend I

Wish I could stop cause I'm not joking
I love drinking too much and socially smoking
Don't wanna stop or learn to behave, Amen
And hey I just missed another day again Edited by steppenwolf

The race is on for the Top spot this weekend,
and here's mid-week's status...

#1 (new)

#2 (new) Hall Of Fame Feat. Will.I.Am - Script

#3 (new)

#4 (faller) Wings - Little Mix
#5 (faller) Bom Bom - Sam & The Womp

US R&B star Ne-Yo leads an incredibly tight singles race today with new single Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself).

The track, produced by Stargate, features a chorus co-written by Australian singer/songwriter Sia Furler,
who has also collaborated on two of 2012’s Top 10 biggest selling singles – David Guetta’s Titanium and Flo Rida’s Wild Ones.
Ne-Yo faces stiff competition this week, as just a little over 2,000 copies separate Let Me Love You... from new entries from The Script and P!nk.

Judges of BBC’s The Voice, Danny O’Donoghue and Will.I.Am, hook up on new release Hall Of Fame (#2), currently trailing Ne-Yo by less than 5%.
The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue will no doubt be eyeing the top spot, as if they can overtake Ne-Yo ahead of Sunday,
this would give Dublin rockers their first UK Number 1.
Their previous highest charting single was 2008’s The Man Who Can’t Be Moved, peaking at #2.

Joining Ne-Yo and The Script in the Top 3 on today’s Official Singles Chart Update is global superstar P!nk.
P!nk has joined forces on new single Blow Me (One Last Kiss) with songwriter/producer Dan Wilson (Adele’s Someone Like You),
Blow Me... (#3) is taken from her forthcoming sixth studio album The Truth About Love, out next week. Edited by steppenwolf

  • 2 weeks later...

New from Robbie Williams, out on Oct 29,

taken from his new album Take the Crown...

Candy - Robbie Williams

Surprisingly catchy and very 80s britpop.

Though may not do that well in the charts.

Hmmm getting to like Rebecca Ferguson more and more. Tks for sharing, SW.

Down on memory lane: an unlikely artiste/band on the UK chart.

It was in 1981 and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra reached no.2 with Hooked on Classics!

Then it's Genesis.

I used to find Phil Collins cute in this video: No reply at all

Oh no...I've been quite faithfully collecting my Now Series (only the UK version).

I might even have Now 1 on vinyl somewhere.

prrfffff....

It's in Now 1 that this song I caught on Saturday (Retrolicious!!!)

I've never respected Howard Jones as much till I saw his performance.

In what has been one of the closest fought chart battles of 2012 so far,

Rihanna’s Diamonds emerges victorious over One Direction’s Live While We’re Young,

and Adele’s Skyfall in the race to take the converted Number 1 slot from K-pop sensation Psy’s Gangnam Style...

#1 (new)

#2 (faller) Gangnam Style - Psy

#3 (new) Live While We'Re Young - One Direction

#4 (new) Skyfall - Adele

#5 (new) Anything Could Happen - Ellie Goulding

In Wednesday’s Official Chart Update, the Bajan singer’s latest track was a mere 250 copies behind One Direction’s new single,

but today it finishes the week nearly 19,000 ahead of the British boyband with sales of over 105,000 copies.

Diamonds is Rihanna’s sixth Official Singles Chart Number 1 as a lead artist and seventh overall.

With just 420 copies between the two, last week’s chart topper, Gangnam Style, slides one place to Number 2,

while One Direction score their fourth Top 10 hit in twelve months with Live While We’re Young new in at Number 3.

Adele’s latest single, Skyfall, which is the theme song to the forthcoming James Bond film of the same name,

has broken into the Official Singles Chart Top 5 after less than 48 hours on sale, having sold over 84,000 copies.

Ellie Goulding scores her sixth Official Singles Chart Top 40 hit with Anything Could Happen,

the lead single from her new album Halcyon, debuting at Number 5.

Oh...Just saw the link on Now 1.

This song has been long forgotten...it's quite a novelty record.

Will Powers' Kissing with confidence.

Apart from Culture Club's Karma Chameleon,

my favourite tune from Now 1 back then was...

Moonlight Shadow ft. Maggie Reilly - Mike Oldfield
