Alison Moyet will release When I Was Your Girl on April 1 as the lead single from her upcoming album the minutes,

it will also include recent free track Changeling and will be released in the UK on May 6.

While we wait for the video of this new single to be made available in this part of the world,

here's a trip down memory lane with 2 of my favourite tunes from Ms Moyet...

Girls Aloud confirm split after last night of UK tour!

Girls Aloud have announced they are splitting up following the last night of their 10-year celebration tour.

A tweet from the band's official account on Wednesday night said: "We have now come to the end of our incredible time together."

The message was sent shortly after the five singers came off stage.
The performance in Liverpool marked their last performance together as a group.

Here's a documentary released to coincide with the tenth anniversary of British all-female pop group Girls Aloud. The documentary follows Girls Aloud from their formation on the ITV reality television programme Popstars: The Rivals to their reunion after a three-year hiatus.

The Saturdays with a little help from Sean Paul could well be on their way to claim their very first #1 this week...

What About Us Feat. Sean Paul - The Saturdays

The Saturdays have done it!

Seemingly always the bridesmaids, never the bride(s),
The Saturdays almost reached the summit with 2009 singles Just Can’t Get Enough and Forever Is Over, both of which peaked at #2!

Five years on from making their chart debut, 11 Top 10 singles, three Top 40 albums and a whopping 3.5 million record sales,
they finally land their first Official #1 single with the dancehall-infused What About Us? Feat. Sean Paul.

Here's the complete Top 5 this week...

#1 (new) What About Us Feat. Sean Paul - The Saturdays
#2 (faller) Mirrors - Justin Timberlake
#3 (non-mover) Just Give Me A Reason Feat. Nate Ruess - Pink
#4 (non-mover) When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars
#5 (non-mover) Pompeii - Bastille

Further down at #16, we have a current #1 hit in Ireland,
from Dublin-based rockers claiming their first UK Top 40 hit and the week’s next highest new entry...

High Hopes - Kodaline

Dreadful!

PJ and Duncan !!! They are adorable, even when they are much older, they still have the moves.

Didn't like their music then, but now watching their steps, they are pretty nifty.

For me, it's Blue. Lee Ryan is such an eye-candy.

Ah! I simply love Attracting Flies. Too bad it's at 160.

Good news Glowingember,

AlunaGeorge’s Attracting Flies has finally climbed 18 places to #33 this midweek!!!

Take a look at the behind-the-scenes for this fairy-tale-like video...

For fellow fans who are like me,

counting down to the release of her new album,

click here to sample some of the album tracks!

Ah...only samples. I like Right As Rain.

Suddenly thought of one of her less popular singles ; Sleep like breathing.

Another similar lady singer that I adore...even more than Alf is Annie Lennox.

This is her unplugged version of You have placed a chill in my heart.

Hmm...

I noticed that both Lee Ryan and Justin Timberlake were both blonds when they were with their groups but as they grow older, they ditch their blond for black. Hurt Lovers is quite a mature boy-band song. They seem to have lost the edge.

Thanks for re-introducing Brit Got Talent and I've been searching for more clips...

I like this: Ryan O'Shaughnessy - No Name

and First Kiss

Dreary isn't it?

I wonder if the song will ever grow on me...

Anyway, here's U2 and Brian Eno, under the pseudonym Passengers (this one's plural),

along with Luciano Pavarotti, taken from the 1995 album, Original Soundtracks 1...
