Brit Pop Rules! (But Sucks Sometimes Too!)

And Simply Red, this song from the brilliant Stars album.

"For Your Babies" is my favourite track from the album,
though the title track is more popular and successful,
reaching #8 in the UK singles chart back in Nov 1991.

Big fan of Mick Hucknall!!! He was once considered such a sex symbol. Just too bad they are retiring....here is one of his not so well-known song, but a fave of mine....Never Never Love.

Only to lie like this between the bombs, dreaming away and not alone, because time was very short.

Very nice, heard the song before, never seen the video :) thanks for posting. Sexy vocals, haunting music, is that Jerry Hall playing Lady Godiva???

It sure looks like Jerry Hall to me too! :)

How do you like this other Hall (not whore),
Terry Hall of Fun Boy Three, The Colourfield,
Terry Blair & Anouchka and Vegas fame...

Walk Into The Wind
by Vegas Feat. Siobhan Fahey

Vegas = Terry Hall + Dave Steward (former Eurythmics)
Siobhan Fahey = former Bananarama = former Shakespears Sister = Dave Steward's wife

It's all changed in the Top 3 UK Singles Chart (mid-week),
a new #1 is guaranteed by the end of the week,
let's just see which of the following will battle it out to the top...

#3 Moves Like Jagger Feat. Christina Aguilera - Maroon 5
#2

#1 Don't Go Feat. Josh Kumra - Wretch 32

And my fave Bowie song

My favourite Bowie song is Hallo Spaceboy, it's a song that I identified so much with during my struggling growing up years as a PLU....you know a floating boy in space....I only have the single though.

The original version by Yazoo came out in 1982 and the Flying Pickets' acapella version came out during Christmas 1983. Both are equally good, IMHO.

Yup. Both versions are good. :)

Any of you like this lesser known but equally successful same title song by Praise featuring Miriam Stockley's vocals?

This haunting number peaked at #4 in the UK Singles Chart in 1991.
