Hello 80's. Sorry for intruding, but here is an announcement (especially for 87, 88, 89).

-----

SGRGuildInfoPoster.jpg

The guilds of medieval times were groups which craftsmen of the same trade formed to form a guild to exchange and share knowledge and resources. In the same vein, the SGR Guild aims to be a platform for like-minded young gay and bisexual men to come together to learn new skills, gain insight into the local GLBT community and work together to serve the community.

The SGR Guild is based upon a three-level structure, where members progress from one level to another after he gains the necessary knowledge and skills. The three levels are based upon the SGRainbow tagline: Self. Growth. Realise.

Stage 1: Self - on personal development and enhancing one's self-esteem and self-confidence
What?
This stage is where you can learn a new skill of your interest and acts as a ice-breaker module for participants to mingle and make friends with fellow participants. Choose ONE out of three available modules which you are interested in. Each module will cater to a MAXIMUM of 15 participants so sign up for the slots early!

Stage 2: Growth - on understanding the community and gaining greater insight on what's going on
What?
This stage is where you will gain greater awareness of issues surrounding the GLBT community to better prepare you in contributing to the community. Choose ONE out of two available modules which you are interested in.

1. Check-IN to Check OUT
2. HIV/AIDS: YMSM Perspective

Stage 3: Realise - on making one's hopes and dreams a reality
What?
This stage is where you will put your ideas into actions by going on an attachment with a community group to gain an even deeper understanding of what goes on within our community. With your fellow participants, you are encouraged to help the community group you are attached to, propose and execute a new programme which you feel can meet a need that is currently not being met.

Sign up now to join the SGR Guild to meet fellow like-minded budding gay and bi change-makers! We will be releasing more details to registered participants and we have a MAXIMUM capacity of 50 members for this first term so don't hesitate! Fill up the form HERE now!

Considering that we are entering Q4 for 2013, most '87 people, including me, are not eligible as we are already 26.

For those born in '88 & '89, the door is still open for you.  :)

Hey guys, for those who can't attend, it's a pity but this meet was too short notice too. My bad.

Catch you guys next time!

For those who can go, please tell me your dinner budget.

I'm thinking Marche but it may be steep for some.

Imagine marche for dinner, followed by drinking, followed by taking taxi for some ppl cos by the time it ends it's already late night. wow, that's a huge budget for that night ! What abt something simpler for dinner ? Edited by outernet

True. We should get a cheaper alternative.

May end up deciding on the spot on where to eat lol

Hey guys, these are the details for our meetup. Thank you for responding!

Date: 7th September 2013, Saturday

Time: 7pm

Venue: CIty Hall Station (regulars should know where to meet)

I will wait until 7.15pm and we will head off for dinner. I will update the PMs & send those whom I'm in contact with a whatsapp message.

Organize and no tentative details up till today, so I doubt I'll come in.

Next time better planning yaw.

This is just a planned small (and impromptu) meetup, so I proposed it within the week.
If you want to attend a well-planned meetup, you can join the whatsapp group. They have some good stuff going on there.

Well, maybe you can get off your high horse first if you're not expecting scrutiny when you're organizing. Edited by thedoctor

I don't know anymore.
