TheVisitors Posted October 26, 2010 Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) My kindergarden teacher used to play this song on her guitar and sung for us.Qiu Chan- a very popular classic Chinese folk song, written by a Taiwanese writer.This song I think was sung by Liu Wen Zhen originally, but somehow, the combined duet of the two ladies, added a very strong nostalgic favour, to the memories of remembering one's childhood, and how time pass so quickly and how we have all grown up.Thus I remembered a scene from my childhood, each time they play this song over the radio.I sat by the river, watching the evening sun glittering an orange hue on the river's surface, while my three dogs were running on a field nearby, and my pet duck,Wooby, sat next to me. Infact everyone did. They were so hot then.The Japanese media back then often stirred them as rivals, but in reality, they both got along very well.This is a very famous Japanese ballad. Till today, he never knew why he had to choose to end his life his way.He broke down and cried. Each songs were delievered with raw honesty, touching many common issues people have experienced and could relate to her songs. Rape, incest, abortion, religious/sexual discrinimation, political corruptions, people who have personal issues affecting their self esteems..Leather here touches the aspect of man/woman or even the same sex relationship. It was originally written about a deep disappointment a woman faces,when she bares naked and vulnerable (emotionally as well) to a guy she really likes,but he in turn only treats and uses her for his sexual pleasure.It parallel my thoughts to quite an amount misadventures of some of my ONS, and others here would have encountered, esp alone in his house.When alone in the room , he suddenly becomes another being you are so frightened or shocked, you just wanna wear your clothes and get out of his house instantly. Which I did, because I am not going to allow any person to treat me with so much of disrespect. Unless I agree to certain acts you wanna perform on me.Why should anyone?There are people, who come back this time round, whom you cherish as a friend, but it is just sex they want from you, inspite of all their niceness they display openly. But when they can't get what they want from you, they either ignore or become subtley nasty or sarcastic towards you.Do you really need them around when you have many others who respect and are worthy of your time?Nope.
