To what i know he has already passed away, what a voice.I really love this version. When i join Sentosa's Songs of The Sea last year. The first post of this thread was a link to Somewhere over the rainbow. So i though post my fav song rainbow connection as well but wanted to poing out what i thought was a mistake in the title and that the singer has passed on and how i love listening to it on way to Sentosa when i used to work there. Never did i think that by doing so would get you so worked up.Just wondering, if you know the song is Somewhere over the rainbow why did you not title this thread Enjoy This! I used to listen to these oldies canto songs and watch the HK music-videos during my NS days in the mid to late 80s. I then spent many hours going through the numerous canto songs available in you tube.Brought back so many fond memories. I particularly like this song by Anita Mui - 梅艷芳 Anita Mui - Year Flowing Like Water 似水流年. Though most of her hits are fast energetic songs, this slow song is marvellous. Too bad i missed the musical production featuring her songs over the weekend. I was feeling down and stressed out from work and personal matters for a while. But the recent tragic disasters in Myanmar and China jolted me up. Life is so unpredictable and fragile. Have been listening to this same song that I posted for the past three hours. Feel really good, such a nice song. Good melody and songs can really help to lift up one's spirit. We tend to be more submissive and emotional. Hope Andy@Tokyo will find the solutions to the problems. This "Song for Peace" is for you. Attended Sally's concert in Singapore last year and she still sounds powerful and still look good. She is a natural on stage just like Anita.
