I visited a spa 2 days ago in Nanshan district. It is across the Coastal City Mall along Hai De San Dao Lu. The name is Xin Zu. The spa is not that big but the ambiance is relaxing. They have a package for 2 hours for foot and body ( 1 hour each) at 258rmb. The lockers are common but there is a small cubicle for you to change clothes then you proceed to the foot cleansing area and sit on the massage chair while you soak your feet in warm water. The rooms are relaxing with 2 beds each. It is an open room with see through curtains. You have to lie down when they do the foot  and body massage. The bed is soft and comfortable compared to other spa. They also have some stretching technique which can make your bones crack a bit. I think there is no extras in this spa esp in the common room. I will try the VIP room which I think will just add 40rmb. I did not avail or ask for oil massage so I do not know if they have oil massage. 

 

The place is quiet compared to the previous spa's that I visited as the attendants are not allowed to talk loud. If you want to have quality and relaxing ambiance, this is the place that you can try. It is worth it. They are open 10 am until 1 am the next day. The nearest border from HK is Shezhen bay and you can take a taxi for less than 20rmb

The easiest and cheapest way to go to the Spas that we mentioned in this thread in SZ is to catch the train to Lowu. Get into a subway station near you and then look for the line that brings you to Lowu. Should take about 45 minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui area.

 

Immigration matters for Malaysia, suggest you check with your travel agent although there are some websites with info but not sure how those are interpreted.

I tried that sauna a number of times and they are quite good. There is another one at the back of a mexican restaurant. You can just walk around and ask someone. Quite a few of the masseurs there provide hard firm massage. Not sure what is your reference for "buffy and not mature" but you may want to try 981, 986 and 911. 981 and 911 are late 20s or early 30s about 75 kg. 986 is about same weight but mid 20s. There is another masseur 992, who is smaller build, maybe less than 70 kg, about mid 30s.

 

If you can take something heavier and older, 963 and 909 are good choices. Both are about 80+ kg. 963 is early 30 while 909 looks like late 30s.

 

Yes, good to book your masseurs before you go. If you are calling in HK, dial 39625166 and if in SZ, call 25133158. I normally book a day in advance. Hope you speak mandarin or Cantonese.

I do get feedback from the masseurs too. Some of you have been telling them where you got info from and the 40+ Singaporean who goes there weekly and that has been writing about them. Hi, 

I have never been to a spa or massage place, I was wondering what are proper procedure and protocols for such places. For example, if you come in the afternoon, do you take a shower before and after the massage, if you tip them, do you do it before or after the massage. 

 

I will be on business, so I don't know when my free time will be, are reservation necessary and is there times I should avoid if I don't have reservation? Also, the reason I was picked to go is because I am the most "Asian" (and the newest- possibly expendable), that being said, I don't speak Chinese every well, but fluent in Cantonese, how much trouble will there be in terms of communication?

Shower - normally you do it both before and after massage unless you happen to have cupping treatment or acupuncture, in which case, the masseur may ask you not to shower for the next hour or so.

 

Always tip after the massage because it is suppose to reflect how appreciative you are. Less tips usually mean you are less appreciative, but it is relative. More to some may be less to others. Please note that in China, the masseurs, back-scrub, manicurist, pedicurist and other service providers (other than the attendants who serve drinks and those working at the reception) rely on tips for their income. Some masseurs get about a few RMB for each hour of massage from the shop, which is next to nothing. Some gets none. Most have to pay an "entrance fee" to get a position in the shop. Even the locker room boys need to pay an entrance fee for a locker room job and they don't have a fixed salary. Their income are usually 100% tip based.

 

If you do not have any preferred masseur, reservations are not necessary. You will be assigned whoever is next in line. But you can choose whether you want male or female. Some shops have photos for you to choose from, some dun. Busy times for most shops are weekends, especially in the afternoons and evenings. But most shops will have some masseurs available even then.

 

Language - Cantonese is good enough in most massage shops, but outside the shops, there are many who may not understand Cantonese well, even taxi drivers.

there are so many massage shops in SZ that I am sure if you ask for male masseur, they will be able to guess what you are up to, haha. Just try anyone and see what they provide lor. Near xjmz, the better known PLU friendly are Jin Yuan and Hong Kang and at the railway station, Jiabaocheng. They have a mixture of masseurs.

 

I am sure the hundreds of others nearby could be equally friendly but I have not explored.

I just went today. It was pretty much a MB place with the standard 100/200/300 tip scheme. The photo were actually pretty close to the masseur. But the massage only lasted 1 hour and they shower with you and the massage is done while both are naked. Mind you if you can speak the language you can do better than me.

I've been there several times over the last 2 years. As a previous person said, standard money boy pricing. Usually start with a foot massage in the common area and then move to a room for the massage. They keep their photos up to date and while photo shopped they are pretty accurate. We were then brought to the main hall to relax on their reclining couch each complete with attached personal TV screen and offered tea.

While waiting for the foot masseur, the captain asked if we prefered oil body massage and we can choose from pictures on the wall.

We picked our massuer and the package became rmb168.

The foot massage was performed by a pleasant looking young man from Henan, was quite good and thorough and lasted 1 hr.

We were given feedback forms to fill and also how much to tip ( think it was rmb20/30/40/50, just circle one) later at the counter.

After this we were brought to another floor with rows of rooms for the oil massage.

My masseur was also from Henan and before starting, he asked which body I wish him to concentrate on and strength required.

The massage is above average, thorough and lasted for about 90 mins (theres a wall clock in the room).

Then he proceed with the "maintenance massage" ( 保养), He spread my legs and sat between them and then placed them over his thighs( he's wearing shorts)            

He rubbed some oil vigouriously with his hands and then cupped them over my thingy, "to improve blood circulation" he said. Shiok!              

Then continue to massage my inner thighs, the perineum and the whole pubic area, Shiok!            

Before I got hard, he was doing some jelqing on me with his warm oily hands, some squeezing, milking and pulling movements, "help increase size and hardness", he said.

Can't remember his number but my friend was also getting similar "treatment" from another masseur so if you opt for oil massage (推油）,I guess you'll be getting something similar.

There were those wearing light blue uniform only about 10 or 12 pictures you can choose from the wall pictures.

However, I was told that upon request, you can also pick from a larger selection from their tab screen too.

 And if you can speak mandarin or Cantonese, it sure helps a lot.
