Those in blue shirts are known as "beauticians". They are usually the slim type, though there are a couple of exceptions. The couple that I tried in the past did not provide proper massage. They are more interested to help you relief, collect their tips and hunt for the next patron. My sessions  did not last the full 2 hours. Beauticians are not allowed to provide foot massage. I understand that there are some rooms on the 4/F that comes with bath tubs and beauticians can help to bath you. Sorry, I have not tried the service and do not know what they cost or what happens during such service. If anyone here has tried, do share.

On XJMZ, I went there during Jun this year.  At the first floor reception, I requested for oil massage done by a male massuer.  The counter staff gave me a "disgusted look" and asked if I was looking for 中医师 for massage.  So I just said yes, and was brought to second floor to choose a chinese physician based on the photos hung on the wall.  Fortysumthing - are all body massage by male massuer only done by 中医师 at XJMZ?

Sorry to hear about your experience Guest. Some staff there can be rude. Not just at the reception, but also those upstairs. In future, you could ignore the reception and just make your queries at the foot massage lounge area.

 

There are 3 types of masseurs :

 

1.  Foot masseurs who can also do body massage. Currently charges RMB 85 for 3 hours session without oil. You can also change this to 2 hours non-oil body and 1 hour foot massage. If you would like oil massage, add RMB 30. Please tips. The masseurs get only a few RMB for each hour and rely on tips for their wages. Lately, they were given targets. I think it is 90+ hours per month. If they fail, they will be fine and do not even get the few RMB per hour. I would encourage tips of RMB 150 or above for the 3 hour session. H.E. is normally possible as long as you could indicate to the masseur your need it but there are some straight masseurs who will not  provide H.E. Most of these masseurs provide good foot and body massage. Recommended are 963 (should be more than 80 kg, 168, early 30s), 981 (about 80, 170, late 20s), 986 (about 75, 170, mid 20s).. Photos available at the computers in the foot massage lobby area. Don't be shy and just tell the attendants you would like to look at photos. IF the masseur is off duty, just ask the attendant to call them to ask if they would like to come back to do OT. If you would like a 3 hour massage, most of these masseur would not mind coming back. Many of them live within walking distance of xjmz.

 

2.  Chinese medical masseurs. These are the Zhong Yi that you were introduced to. Please note that those in Xjmz are not trained Chinese physician so don't expect any sinseh treatment. They are there to provide massage and "other" services. Photos available at the 2/F lift lobby. They are usually 30s to mature bears and cubs. There are less Chinese medical masseurs lately due to lack of demand. Their skills vary as many are more keen to provide other services besides massage. I understand that they do not like to serve female clients. I would recommend 601 for his good massage skills (and also his cute looks ). Charges are RMB 168 for 2 hours body oil massage but you get a free foot massage from a foot masseur. The medical masseur are not allowed to provide foot massage. You could either let the attendant assign a foot masseur to you or you can select one from the computer. I rarely use Zhong Yi but I think tips starts from RMB 150 for the 2 hours. You should tip the foot masseur separately. Sign on the tip ticket which the masseur will give you at the end of the foot massage. Just tick on the various suggested tip amount which I believe starts from RMB 30.

 

3.  Beautician. You would see them in the foot massage lounge soliciting for clients. These are the men (and boys) in blue long sleeve shirts. Photos available on a pillar at in the foot massage lounge. Age varies from 20s to 30s. Body sizes are mostly slim but lately there are a couple of meaty. No recommendation as I hardly use them. Fees starts from RMB 178. I think there are various types of services including bathing their clients. Check the menu before deciding. I rarely use them because of costs (and also not many meaty to choose from .. haha). Tips I understand starts from RMB 200.

 

Foot masseurs and Beauticians come in both sexes. Chinese medical masseurs are all male.

 

Other services

 

Other services available are scrub back by the famous Mei Sifu. I cannot remember exactly but I think the service starts are RMB 10 or RMB 30 if you do also a 2 or 3 hour massage. Ask Mei before you start or look at the sign board at the entrance. I understand that his tips starts from RMB 50 upwards with some clients  also offering RMB 100 and above.

 

Pedicure and manicure are also available.

 

More About tips

 

Most masseurs will give you a tip ticket at the end of the massage and you can tick on the appropriate suggested amount box. You will then settle the tip together with the massage price at the reception when you leave. However, the Chinese medical masseurs (and I think also the beauticians) do not have tip ticket. So you need to give cash. Have some cash in your pocket. I would normally give cash anyway because the shop would hold up the tip for a month and pay the masseurs much later. I prefer to let them have their earnings immediately after the service. The changing room attendants are NOT salaried. They rely entirely on tips. Do leave them with RMB 10 when you leave. They will pool the tips and share at the end of the month so it does not matter who you give the tips to.

Finally made my first trip to XJMZ yesterday. Thanks to fortysumthins's tips. Found the suttle bus station. Got into the bus and 5mins later i arrived XJMZ. Perhaps it is public holidays in Hong Kong， the foot massage lounge is completely full - not an empty seat ，never mind i thought i can have a shower，use the free steamroom first. After the shower i tried again in the foot massage lounge andd see any chair but it is still full house. Then a lady came to approach me and ask me whether I want a massage or not， as I learn from here so I told the lady that I want choose from the computer，while i was walking to the computer i saw few Chinese medical masseurs are sitting at their counter and seems not busy at all. I told the lady that I would like to choose one of the medical masseur. The lady asked me to choose whoever I like，I saw one of my cup of tea meaty masseur，I mentioned to him that I would like to have oil massage. He guide me to the 4/F and he found a room for me.

The massage start with my pants on and he massage my back body with the towel on， I will give him 8/10 of his massage skill，very strong so maybe not everyone can take the pressure but I love firm and hard massage so I was almost fall to sleep when he massaged me，then he then pull my pants lower and massage my butt area - still with towel on. After few mins he start to use oil to massage my back for around 15mins then asked me to turn around and start to massage my upper and lower front......He gave me a slow and wonderful HE then the massage was completed around 1.5hours. I gave him 200trmb tips as he allowed me to pull his privte part out of his pants and played with it while he was massaging my privte part. He was almost cum but i didn't make him.

His number is 606. He told me he is 28 years old and from northen part of China.

I will go back to XJMZ if i have chance but would love to try the masseurs start with 9xx as fortysumthing suggested.

If you like someone big, 981 may not appeal to you, but his massage is very good. 909 is also chub but HE not guaranteed but good massage too. Most of the Chinese medical masseurs are meaty but not sure if chub enough for you. A couple of beauticians are meaty too. Don't be shy, ask to see the photos first.

 

Yes, the bus is at C-16 lot. These places are strictly NOT gay massage shops but so happens that many masseurs will help you relief your "stresses".

 

If you like body scrub by chub, there are chubby scrubbers in Youyi (ask the attendants at the shuttle bus station which is their bus), Guangyi Zhi (8 or 9/F of the Louhu immigration building, You will find a lift going directly to the shop from the 2/F of the immigration building) and Hailihua (after you exit from immigration building, turn left and walk to the end. You will see their big 海利华 name in English on the wall. That is just their shuttle bus stop. They do not use bus, They use golf carts. The shop is less than a minute ride away.) I did not get HE from most of these scrubbers, so try your luck. 

 

There are a couple of chubby masseurs in Youyi. Clients can view photos at the arrival lobby. You can only choose BEFORE you enter the shop. Once you enter, you cannot choose. They will assign. That was their rule when I last visited more than a year ago so not sure if they changed it. Rooms are not conducive to hanky panky and I never had any there.

 

If you are going on weekends, advisable to book the 9 series sifu in advance as they may be taken up. Otherwise you will need to wait. The 6 series and beauticians are more readily available but they do not do foot massage.

Just went fri to hai Li Hua.380 mass was bit too hard for me. He cute stocky nt far at all.i did nt want to make too much conversation with just in case he talk too loud.he really talk very loud.mass was too hard n painful, so was nt able gt arouse.chubby scrubber is true, he only like fat guy, if u are nt fat forget abt happy ending.Sat , went to XJMZ.use 909, stocky to chub masseur, nice personality and willing provide HE. Some things in this world just have no answer ... same as why str8 do not understand why we prefer same sex fun. Only those who are into it, knows that they enjoy it, maybe even without knowing why ... is having a reason even important? So yes, you are theoretically correct that for pure massage, looks and body sizes may not be relevant (to some people). Those are the lucky ones for which they have a wide choice of male and female massuers. But from the views you read here, for quite a number of us, looks and body sizes are part of the criteria. No need to understand us. Just know that we exist. Personally, the feeling of a pair of thick palms of a chubby masseur all over me is - simply shiok.

 

Why Chinese Medical Masseurs provide massage? First of all TCM does include Tui Na as part of their therapy so it is not surprising to find chinese sinseh providing massage in many shops. In case you are not aware, some masseurs in Singapore have professional training in TCM massage. I was fortunate to have enjoyed one recently in Singapore. Secondly, I have mentioned a few times in this thread that the Medical Masseurs in xjmz are not really physicians. They are there to provide other services (those that you find mechanical) under the disguise of Medical Masseurs.

 

"Normal" size masseur. I presume you are referring to non-chubs. I have mentioned a few times on this thread that there are more slim (or non-chubs) than chubby or meaty masseurs in xjmz. In fact, this is the situation in most massage shops in SZ.

Dear BW members,

I only want to advise you that even tough it is cheap to have massag in shenzhn by so many good looking china masseur, but please take pre-caution that some masseur might target you for money if they know you come from singapore. Some may sweet talk to you till you fall in love with them. Most of them are straights and will never fall in love in men. You might lost both money and be hurt if you fall into this trap. Not exception for xjmz masseur as well. You might fall into the situation whre you can't resist their look and do whatver to please them. Just go and enjoy the massage, don't involve your feeling with masseur. Money can buy enjoyment, but not love.

Well, I finally been to saunas in Shenzhen.

A simple account. I got to shuttle car park and there are indeed tag numbers above each lot.

A big signboard posts the venues of respective spa. Yup, XJMZ is C-16.

I cannot believe that there are so many touts yelling the spa name and touting anybody who walks nearby. Like fish market. Pple who have not decided which spa to go gets serious harassment and totally surrounded by the touters, showing various leaflets and brochures of scantily dressed masseurs.

Fortunately, my plan was to go to YouYi first and if u let them know, u will be ignored. U need to wait for the shuttle to arrive and well, that did not happen for next 10mins. So in short, there's a regular shuttle within span of 15mins. Pretty regular timings but the job of the driver must be very mandane driving in circles daily.

It was a short ride to YouYi. I was given a RFID tag and directed the locker area where attendants there can only open your locker in combination with his generic tag and yours.

There was not many clients but all of them are totally shyless and stripped naked and walked around in the buff into the wash area..which I may add, pretty big, clean and well maintained. It have 2 pools, wet and dry sauna and another room for scrub back. The shower rooms are just cubicles and u can see pple bathing openly. I was approached by a paunchy stocky middle age guy for scrub back services.

Since pretty meaty, I accepted and was led to scrub back room where I was given about 40mins of dead skin removal from every nook and cranny or orifices including my butt crack.

I don't call it hanky panky but professional and thorough body rub. I did get an erection but was ignored. With some enquiries, I was told to go the 4th floor to select the masseur of your choice via terminal. Upon a refreshing body rub, I seriously feel my body is smoothed and cleansed. Recommend the scrub back. Tipped him 50RMB

I headed to the 4th floor and immediately attended by a service staff who point me to the terminal for selection of the masseur. Unfortunately she showed me all the ladies etc which i become more specific and asked for guys. To my disappointment, only 2 slim ones appear on screen, who were free during that time. As I don't have the specific number of the person, I asked to look for pictures of all guy masseur but apparently there is no filter function and all I can see is ALL selected. My Chinese sucks so, I cannot operate the screen as its written in Chinese. Relying on the service staff was not good either. With that I left with no choice but figured to do foot reflexology since I am already there. Declined all offers and discounts for body massage etc.

The masseur that serviced me was friendly and chatty but I was totally not in the mood for conversation, simply because he was slim. As the massage was very good, tipped him 80RMB. So I had the foot massage and left the place. Mixed feeling was that I wasn't serves by any chubs but the body rub and foot reflexology was very good. At this point, I felt that chubby masseur is indeed a rarity.

Can anyone recommend a Shenzhen massage shop/spa with younger (perhaps 18-24) and smaller (perhaps under 65 kg) masseurs? I've looked through many of the links that have helpfully been posted on this site and done some further internet research of my own, but it seems most of the places with a web presence focus on guys in their late 20s-30s with big muscles, some with a lot of facial hair, some even (strangely) smoking cigarettes in their photos. I certainly don't mean to demean anyone else's preferences, but these simply aren't mine. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, overnight stay is allowed in those places as they are opened 24 hours. Some travelers use them as "hotel". Minimum amount vary with shops and with whether it is weekend or weekday. I think for XJMZ, it is 3 hours of massage for weekday and 4 hours on weekend, based on regular rates. This should be less than RMB 200. Do ask at the counter before going in to avoid surprises.
