I was looking for a pic on my computer and found a pic in a folder I labelled 'Unsorted'. I stopped what I was doing. Rested my head and sat leaning against the chair. My mind wandered for a moment. Trying to recall when and why the situation in that pic took place. I smiled. It was a pic of me crying profusely last year. Looking back the journey I went through since then. Men do cry. We are human beings. We don't need to act tough when we should be allowed to express our emotions and pick ourselves up and move on - at least we try to move on.

I am not a grammar Nazi. Yes, I have a strong urge - which I usually manage to resist - to correct grammatical errors. Yes, I get annoyed by improper grammar but my annoyance is directed towards the mistake, not the culprit. Yes, there are times I lapse into silence during conversations but I'm not judging you, I'm just mentally amending the grammatical errors you've committed. It's a quirk, it's an idiosyncrasy and to be honest, this irrational fixation can be a defect at times.

Unlike what the term implies, I do not impose my standards on anyone besides myself or when I'm asked to. I do not round up offenders and put them in concentration camps. I do not gas, drown, torture or commit any atrocities the Nazis are associated with on offenders.

Grammar is not a means for me to exert superiority over anyone - that would just indicate a lack of self-esteem. It's a source of personal pride. It's an extension of my belief that none of my endeavours deserve anything less than 100%. If you choose to label me as such, it reflects more on your character than mine.
