Guest IT
It's common when the transition of PowerPoint slides seems normal . (eg. The ones you can find it at microsoft PowerPoint itself ) . Anyone here have any other websites to make the presentation slides ? Besides the normal Microsoft PowerPoint slides ... Guest Guest
just some thoughts to share, you may want to consider a few other things than just transitions to make your presentation effective such as- do not try to present, instead, communicate- your powerpoint slides (or any slides for that matter) should not be used as an end by itself. use it as a mean to communicate your messages.- scaffold it with your delivery (both verbally and non-verbally)- prepare your slides with the clarity of what you want to achieve by the end of the presentation (start with the end in mind) so that it can guide you as your deliver- when preparing slides, cut away all the unnec details and get to the point- use minimal words whenever possible- avoid lengthy sentences, try to keep it to 5-6 words per sentence if you can, better if you can have 1-2 words- organise your thoughts and put forward the key points on the slides, for the details, either you complement them with handouts or brief it out verbally- never read off from your slides- use a mix of pictures, videos, music etc to reinforce or to focus your pointsbottomline, rehearse rehearse rehearse...the key word is to use your slides as part of your overall communication strategy to get your points across.finally, good luck! Spencer
http://prezi.com/its pretty interesting to make presentation slideshow if you have the creative juice to make it good. As an interaction student, its pretty neat tool sometime. matthewleon
PaterTenebrarum
Have attended many PowerPoint-heavy presentations that were very poorly executed. Many people use the software as a crutch for their less than stellar presenting abilities. In fact, one of the best presentations I attended used only three sildes with picutres and very little words. BUT the presenter was funny, witty and brought his message across very effectively.
