Annual renewal is $10.  If your membership expired in 2012, you may have to pay $60, though they compensated you with one free entry on weekday non-event night. For this reason, I had stopped going to Cruise for a few years now. No other saunas have this annual membership fee.

Can u register as a new member to avoid paying extra membership fees on the years you missed? Quite unfair leh to make you pay for years you were not visiting.

Answer:

You just pay a flat amount of only S$10.00 and that is it.

Payment of the yearly membership is capped at only S$10.00 regardless of which year it is expired. And CC would give you one more free entry pass for your next visit. In another words, the yearly S$10.00 is free, so to speak, understand??

Cruise could have abolished that yearly membership fee all the time already. It's laughable... Why keeping something stupid on, if customership declining...???

Ok that is just super mean and uncalled for. I'm not Indian but that is just plain rude. You aren't "stating facts" you are just being condescending. Ok so what if they don't get laid as much there no need to put them down for it. Yes you are entitled to your own opinion but I'm pretty sure you don't have to put it that way

just gotta ask, do you have to be a NSF to get the FREE ALL DAY Cadet (18-27) pass or do they just refer to 18-27 year olds as Cadets?

Thanks!

Just would think that you could be sued for such a comment in Singapore.

Eventually, it's your taste or personal preference but other guys got their own preferences too.

How would you feel if a White guy in a sauna in US/ Europe would comment the same on Chinese guys?

"not looking Indian"

But this is just boiling down to the fact that many see the colour white as desirable. Therefore, those guys go to whitening, skin bleaching etc.

Who wants to watch Bollywood (not my favourite anyway) and the guys look like American cowboys?

Personally, I find colours are beautyful. It's like different food. Does anyone want to just eat yellow bananas every day?
As I had pleasant and unpleasant experiences with guys from any type, shape, ethnical background, I would never refer it to any single ethnic group. Honestly, some Indian guys blew me away with their tongue skills...

If your sexual desire is narrowminded (and your range of acceptance limited) than it's your personal issue, but don't come with such nasty comments please or restrict others from their own personal choices and preferences.

Commander (Age 38 and above) can strip and search a cadet.  Captains (Age 27 to 37) can order a cadet to skin.  That's what the meaning is.

was at area, wanted to go Friday  11/5 at around 1.15am. as I didn't go quite a long time the staff at entrance wanted $10 for membership renewal. I raised my opinion that I find the renewal fee stupid and Cruise should actually stop charging a renewal fee. There were about 4 guys at the counter. one staff told me I can write in to the owner about this.  I told them that I did before and why the staff don't tell him. Then one entrance counter staff held my membership card to me and said "Maybe you should't go in!"

I was shocked. I just said: You think I shouldn't go in?. Staff: "yes you shouldn't go in. take your

card. I took it and left

I m not ugly.  or anything. I just went home.

just wonder why they need to give such rude response...

People literally forgot who are the paying masters for their salaries.

That's some of the many reasons why they are losing many customers while the other 3 sauna ( keybox, ten men club and shogun are crying for shortage of lockers, towels and having to queue to get in ) .

This chat is read internationally, many of my overseas friends are avoiding due to such rudeness  and recent bad reputation of Cruise Club, standing statues museum ), whereas the rest are welcome all with great appreciation. Its web intro its encouraging ....but controversially unfriendly , rude environment. why own one pay for all these rudeness be it from staff or other patrons ( pushing away others as reported ).

One would go to one that has a friendly warm welcoming environment.....

Sometimes i wonder what is the mindset of the statues. They just stand there and reject everyone who approach them. They arrive earlier and leave later than me. So i dont know how much time they spend there. Esp on a saturday evening

They are there for display only, hence they are called statues.  They doesn't mind wasting time standing there, probably they are still young and they come in with free entry.

Yeah no loss for them since no charge and strokes their ego. Also explains much about their social life.

Since I went to Cruise Club the first time years ago, I have reasons to dislike them.

But they have the right to charge a $10 yearly membership renewal. This comes to less than $1 per month.

You could have paid it, or said thank you and left.  To call it "stupid" was not positive.

The guys at the counter have to be loyal to their employer, no matter how little they are paid.

Forget the incident and clear your mind.  Next time you want to go there, pay the $10 and feel lucky that you don't live in the US but you can find cute Asian guys in gay saunas, even if many are statues.

The thing with the statues comes to the same as that Singaporean phenomenon in any apps where guys don't bother to reply to you at all, leaves behind a feeling that I look worse than a zombie..  ( which I don't think I am) but then 3 hours later at 1am you receive a message from them asking to meet. It reminds me of the people at supermarkets in Singapore who turn around every orange on the display before they take one... I then don't reply to them. Regarding the statutes: I saw many guys trying their luck or looking at them. That's what they want: their ego boosted. But that's wrong. just ignore them.

Sure they have right to charge anything. But don't people have the right to voice their opinions? Dun they call it "smart choices"?

I dun quite understan ur comment on the US. I wuld thought in US the guy will be even more outspoken. And it like you say only in Cruise have cute Asian guys?

Sure the staff maybe protective because they heard complaint on membership renewal many time, but they still can stay friendly. They could giving logic reason for the fee and not just hand back the card to the customers. This look rude to me too. I m sure Cruise boss don't like this too...

As Cruise charging highest entrance pricing here already I think can scrap the renewal fee. The card only paper and after renewal you not getting new one.

Cruise has raised the free entry age to 27.  That means they earned nothing for age group 18 to 27.  They are covering this loss of income through annual membership fee and higher entry fee from paying customers aged 28 and above.

People have the right to voice their opinions, and the staff has the right to react to such opinions with moderate rudeness. Had he said "I don't like to pay the $10, but I think that Cruise Club is fantastic and I love you all" they would not have been rude.

We haven't seen their books, so we don't know the impact of their pricing system.  Maybe the yearly membership fee is significant, especially if the young statues with free entry also have to pay it?

My comment on the US is that when I go to a local sauna at home I mostly find ugly fat Caucasians, but... I like slim Asians.  I would gladly pay $10 or even $100 US dollars a year in membership to a local sauna that had the same public as saunas in SG.

Agree. Every establishments have their system going for them, by calling them stupid is just plain arrogant. In fact, I would say it sounded like they were already trying very hard not to kick his ass out the front door.

I still find the Cruise staff response nasty and disrespectful to me. I didn't even refuse to pay the renewal fee but the one staff just handed the membership card back to me by saying "Yes, you shouldn't go in. Here take your card!"

Maybe you try saunas in Europe?  There's quite some fingerlickin food around and facilities are great. But if slim Asians only do for you, you better tell the Cruise staff that you love them. You can pay US$ 100 per entry too. From my past experience I wouldn't call Cruise "fantastic". It's just a 4.5 out of 10 to me.

Have the broken bed covers ever been repaired? do all lights work in the rooms? Can more than 5 guys fit into the steam room? Who designed that stairs up stairs down maze? Must non smokers suffer the smoke at the backyard? Why is the condom tray not at least in front of the curtain on the maze floor? Why is the upper floor wasted space with the 2 beds?

Not only in a gay sauna, in any ntuc or kopitiam you will get sent away too.

what and where was I rude? I just voiced my discontent with the renewal fee. That's all. My comment to the staff was meant as a recommendation or proposal.

In your sense we would be still paying $1.50 or $3 per message for roaming charges when overseas.

Other establishments can learn too...

You seem to have a problem with comprehension.  I didn't say that Cruise is fantastic, but that if you said so to the staff they would not have been rude and you would have gotten in.   For me, if I have a great time with cute guys all the complaints you list I would pay little attention.

So you volunteered to pay the $10, and yet they didn't let you in?  They should have told you why, and if it was not justified you had a good reason to file a complaint and make a big scene.  They should not be able to refuse entry because they want to be nasty.

Good that you didn't go in then.  From your narrative,  you are only criticising the membership fee but didn't refuse to pay.  The right way is to ask whether you want to pay rather than tell you to take your card back.  The staff need more training in handling difficult customers like you.

Steve you seem to forget too fast what you write?

You told me just earlier that I should have said to Cruise's counter staff "that I find Cruise fantastic and love you all".

I don't have any problems with comprehension and for sure in no way I have been rude to the counter staff . I was relaxed and just mentioned to them that I m discontent with the renewal fee, find the fee stupid and that they should consider to abolish it.

here is what you Steve wrote earlier:

STEVE: "People have the right to voice their opinions, and the staff has the right to react to such opinions with moderate rudeness. Had he said citation:"I don't like to pay the $10, but I think that Cruise Club is fantastic and I love you all" they would no t have been rude . " citation end.

Why should I tell Cruise that I find it fantastic and love them? Maybe you're just ironic?

Now you say you don't find Cruise fantastic?

This is very funny...

Why should I bowe to the Cruise staff, bear their rude and nasty behaviour??? It was 1.15 am.

Maybe the staff still thinks there the best Singapore sauna (from a doubtful ranking). The last time they won was 2016 for results achieved in 2015...

I personally think I hit a nail with my complaint about the renewal fee. For sure they can see that a vast majority never renewed the membership. And it's already a critical spot for the counter staff, because many people object to it. But with belittling customers with bad attitude as they did they won't get customers back. It was not nice and not necessary to show me the way to the exit door.

Nothing funny.  I wouldn't mind if Cruise gets out of business.  It was, I think, a spin off from Absolute and I wish Absolute had stayed like it was in its best days.

Maybe you should not have let them "show you the way to the exit door", but argued with them that they had no reason to refuse your entry.

Right, the staff shouldn't take thing into his own hand without checking with the boss.  But ultimately they have the right to refuse entry as it is a membership club.

Good point.  Maybe the right way is to pay the renewal of membership, and then once a member again complain that it it stupid.
