I went to cruise last night. The theme was Skin + Finger Light. They need to modify this event.

 

The colors of the finger lights were too similar. Blue for top and green for bottom. I think orange for flex but they only had green and blue when I arrived. I am flex but was in the mood to top so I chose blue. Anyway most guys didn't even use the lights so that defeats the purpose of the event.

 

I think they need to change to glowsticks. Those have to be cheaper than finger lights anyway. Make the colors more different from each other. Blue for top -- pink (or red or orange) for bottom -- white for flex. This makes it much easier to see what the guy wants than the similar blue and green.

 

Maybe set up the glowsticks so they attach to the locker key chains, rather than holding them.

Cruise Club really needs to get their act together, and stop pretending that,  because they are the only sauna that attracts crowd,  they can afford to be nonchalant Abt the issues plaguing their establishment. 

 

And nope. It's not about their boring themes. It's not about their re-hashed event nights that is actually a non-event for a regular. It's not about customer service. It's about HYGIENE. 

 

I went to Cruise last week at 3pm. It was empty. As I walked around the maze,  I noticed how sticky the floor was. It's as though they never mopped their floor with Dettol before they opened for business. Or maybe they did mop,  but just once. Mopping whatever cum on the floor in a room,  onto all over the place. Whatever it is, pls ensure the floor is properly cleaned. If at 3pm,  when patrons haven't arrived,  the floor is still sticky, it goes to show Abt the staffs diligence in making the place clean. 

 

The next big horror came,  when I went into the room. As I reached out to get some toilet roll and lube,  I brightened the room,  to find the walls so dirty with dark stains as though someone smeared their Shit all over the walls. It was really bad. We changed rooms,  only to realize that almost all the rooms were just as bad. If u don't get sick from not using condoms,  I think u sure will from the bacteria on the walls and fittings. 

 

How difficult is it for the owners,  to close for a day,  every 3 months,  to give the rooms a fresh coat of paint. And to keep the place looking clean at the very least. 

 

Places like Cruise needs to understand,  that they run an establishment for gay people who have no other place to go to for sex,  especially when they live with their parents. And for some of us,  we dont want to go to a hotel which ask for our IC and Address. 

 

Gay Saunas are like the only safe space for us. So please dont treat all of us as sex monsters who don't care about hygiene or are perfectly alright with a dirty place. 

 

As it already stands,  u realise no new young generation goes to Cruise. It's Alot likely that it's because of the image Cruise sends to us,  as a dirty old place. 

 

If even after this feedback,  Cruise doesn't want to do anything,  and instead want to wait for some new player to come in to challenge their position,  don't be surprised that you will end up the same sorry state of the former Absolute.

I agree with the idea that Cruise should close, perhaps on the final Thursday of EVERY month, to bring in a crew that will give the floors, walls, and everything else a complete cleaning. In all honesty, every sauna should do this at least once a month, on a day of their choosing.

Although I've never been to Cruise but I agree that cleanliness is one of the major pull factors.   Instead of mopping the floors with soap and water, may I suggest that the use of bleach/chlorox.  

 

Do this after the club is closed for the day. Just put the liquid into spray bottles (without diluting it for obvious effectiveness) and spray it diligently  along the edges of the floor, the  walls and columns, leave it overnight. I'm sure that could remove stubborn stains.  Repeat the procedure twice a week for another week. Or so.  Remember to wipe off all remnants and wear disposable gloves when administering it. 

 

Once this is done weekly in a proper manner, the place will be disinfected and such issues of slimes can be resolved.

I agree about the cleanliness issue at Cruise. There was cum on the bed and it turned me off, maybe it's just me being a clean freak, but filthy it is.

 

This is also the reason I avoid using the rooms and just cruise at the first floor, mostly at the steam and shower room. Just by a simple comparison, the rooms at Keybox is much much cleaner.

I think for ppl who don't want to use the lights just because they want to keep it more mysterious. And I do know some people not in the mood for sex.  But I guess it's better to change the keyrings to bracelets, as what I know in some countries they set right hand for top, left hand for btm, ankles for flex. I mean even if ppl cannot see it in the dark but still can touch your hands to know what you are, instead of touching your ass or dick.

Guest bad people - I totally agree that it's everyone's responsibility to keep the place clean,  just the same way you want to have it when you enter. An this is why I always clean the bed before and after I am done. But doesn't the establishment also have it's responsibility to its patrons?  When the walls are smeared with months old Shit and cum stains,  and there don't seem to be any effort by the owner to clean it up,  it makes you wonder how serious they are in providing a clean and hygienic environment. I don't think what I advocated for was unreasonable. Which is close for a day every 3 months to paint the walls and do thourough cleaning. 

 

Guest hotdude- have you been to Cruise lately? If you did,  you will know what I said is reflective of the situation on the ground. Next time you go,  check the rooms with the light turned up bright. Or wait til their cleaning regime takes place at around 1am. When they switch on their fluorescent lights, the HORROR will await you.

I can tell you that the membership ranges from 18 through, I don't know, 68, but skews younger, and is mostly Singaporean Chinese. There are also Malays, Indians, Indonesians, Filipinos, Thais, PRCs, Ang Mohs, and I have even seen Blacks there on occasion. There is a small gym area near the lockers with a universal machine, some dumbbells, and a couple of benches. There is also a steam sauna and a soaking pool. And an area with six showers. As well as two toilets. Upstairs there is a maze that is basically segmented into two sections, with a long hallway in the middle, and a small darkroom on the flip side of the hallway. There are private rooms in both sections of the maze. And at one end of the maze there is a rest area and two more toilets. All the way upstairs there is a small public sleeping area, a café, and another toilet. As mentioned above, the management would be well advised to close once per month to give the walls and floors a thorough cleaning, as well as to perform routine maintenance. They should also do a better job with their daily scrubbing. If you want to go, just do it, but remember to be safe in any fun you decide to have.

Something not mentioned above is the membership price, which you asked about on the personals board, and it is $10 per year. Then you can pay to enter on a per visit basis or else buy a multi-trip pass, which will lower your per visit price, but cost you more money upfront and obligate you to make 6 or 8 or however many trips to Cruise within three or so months. Of course if you are in the Cadet age group, there would be many opportunities to get free or low cost admission, and you wouldn't need a multi-trip pass.
