Just shifted into the new bto after en block. So all the houses at my level was not occupied yet except mine. Most still doing renovation and some still empty. While I agree with you, I seem to recall that Singapore's law deems it an offense if your naked body is seen by others even though you are in your own unit.  The person whose naked body is exposed does not have to be engaged in sexual activity, being seen along is enough to have broken the law.

 

Of course, if no one reports the sighting of a naked body, then the police will not know and the law will not be enforced.

Correct, if naked even in your house is an offence if it is seen by others, even you did not purposely exhibit yourself to others. I really do not understand why there is such law in sg. I agreed it is an offence if the person purposely stand infront of the window naked to allow others to be seen.

This could be the reason why there is such law to be in place that being naked in your own house is an offence if it is seen by others, whether or not you have the intention or not. It is could be due to young kids/children.

I am usually naked in my own house, but then again, things are arranged in such a manner that no one is able to look into my dwelling place, so I do not have any concern about breaking the law. 

 

While Section 27A of the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act does not quite define it as an offense to be clad only in your underwear while in your own home, the wording is broad and may lead to one being charged under Sec 27A.

 

However, I think things have to be put in perspective.  If it can be proven that there is 'mens rea' - in this case, intention to be “clad in such a manner as to offend public decency or order”, then the charges will stick.

Merely being naked in one's own property should not be a violation of the law, much less while clad in underwear - be it boxers, boxer briefs, briefs, very brief briefs, jockstrap or g-string.  

 

However, unfortunately, until the law is changed, we can only be aware and be careful of the potential violation of Sec 27A.

From what i believe, if you are fully naked in your house and be seen by others, it is confirmed an offence. No matter whether you are intention or unintentionally. Clad in underwear should not be an offence, unless you are going some obscene act.

Yes, the distance between blk is too near esp for those newly built BTO. Unless your unit is facing a road, if not sure bound to face another blk. Some blk people even can stand at common corridor and look straight into your flat. I really wonder why they design such design.
