The Malays named this bird -- Burung Kuku because of the noise which this bird made "kuku, kuku, ....."

So, if we called our penis KuKu-Jiao or KuKu Bird which made reference to this Burung KuKu, there must have something related (a story or what?). Our KuKu Jiao does not cry out "kuku, kuku, ...." or anyone's ?? LOL

Any Malay can tell us any folktale on this?

My dear, Malays do not call this burung kuku, or kuku bird, it is all in your imagination.Btw, I am not Malay , but i know Malay culture is rich and diverse and gentle , but this plentiful local bird is called Tekukur, pronounced as Te ( Terminal ) ku ( Coo) kur (core)

Where in the corners of singapore did someone Malay said to you this bird is called a kuku bird(burung kuku )

And btw the bird song of Tekukur goes, coor-coor-coor,..cooooooor.

for bird sound

this websites above to learn more about the burung Tekukur

I am not Malay, I am Chinese and I would like to say no one calls this bird burung kuku, or kuku bird.

It is probabaly a local patois as simple people like to simplify nouns to make it easier to remember, merbuk may be too much a mouthful for some local non malay speakers so that simplify and dumbdown it to burung kuku.

There is another similarly colored but smaller bird that is called Merbuk.

bird call is here.

It is similar in looks to the Tekukur.

No Malays call any of these birds Burung kuku because kuku in Malay is refering to the finger and toe nails.

Thanks for reading.

Do not imagine there is any connection between these birds and the male genitalia , it is just too rude for polite malays to connect these two

You just tsk tsk tsk a quarrelsome pest crawling everywhere in every threads. psssstttt - spray pesticide on you.

You're not Malay, therefore you're not fit to comment on this on their behalf.

You're Chinese but you cannot represent all Chinese just because you've not heard before.

Bye ~~

i hope you will just shut the fuck up , he is just pointing out the facts , even providing the link to a site that explains the differences. It is good information.

No where in his post did he put down malays, neither did he claim to represent the Malays nor the Chinese.

Well back up what you say about not hearing it before, with some quotes or links to info.

If not, you are as good as fart. All hot air.

You are getting worked up and it shows more about your lack of information .

You can keep on farting, but the smell reveals more about you.
