After Singapore actress-turned-director Michelle Chong's debut movie Already Famous garnered strong box office returns in 2011, she returns with her highly-anticipated second film, 3 Peas in a Pod.

Filmed entirely in Australia and starring newcomer Jae Liew and pop stars Calvin Chen and Alexander Lee Eusebio, the trailer for 3 Peas in a Pod dropped over the weekend online to moderate buzz.

Scheduled for mainstream release November 2013, the film is expected to do well on strong word-of-mouth reviews and the appeal of a traditional romantic comedy.

Distribution is handled by Chong's company Huat Films.   and enquiries are to be made to Chong's management agency Left Profile.

Hmm, I like Michelle and all that, but the trailer was just boring and doesn't really create any sort of excitement in me. Doesn't look funny or exciting at all actually. She should really star in her movies like Tina Fey because at the end of the day, her greatest asset is herself.

The trailer is so disappointing :( like so typical and not exciting

I think there's something missing, like i feel that the characters are boring and doesn't seems likable (nor can we connect to them much even though it is a singaporean film)

I saw the trailer for Michelle Chong's second movie in the cinema today.

I don't think it will do well.

The plot is obviously paper-thin and it's fronted by a trio who can't act and don't even have the looks.

That Alexander Lee Eusebio is so gay.

No talking point either.

It's neither here nor there, it's not a romance film, not an inspirational film, not a road trip film.

It's just a wannabe idol movie.

I'm sorry Michelle Chong, I don't think this movie will do well.

here's my thought on the trailer

- looked like a long Australian tourism commercial

- Agreed that plot is wafer thin, then again most teenage love story movies tended to be such. (eg That Girl in Pinafore)

- not a word been heard from the Korean hunk, i wonder why.

Tips on improving the movie: Fire the female, make it about 2 guys on a road trip. LOL.

LOL, who knows, maybe the trailer isn't telling everything - and Eusebio turns out to be gay.

Just watched this movie. Nice, chill out, coming of age kinda movie. Remind me of my carefree school days. Surprise twist at the end. No, it's not what u expected from the trailer. Watch it!

Hmm maybe it's part of the plot for build up to the twist. Middle must mislead us first so tat we can feel the twist. For watever reason.. Maybe he wants penny to be a cover up? Maybe he hopes penny will fall for him so tat she n Peter will not end up tgt? Up to audience to imagine bah

Why did perry tell penny his name means a rock? Penny replied who will name his son after a rock. Actually Peter means rock. Did I catch it wrongly or it is supposed to mean something?

Story seemed to have copied from other movies with similar story among 2 guys (with 1 of them a gay) and a girl - 女朋友男朋友 from Taiwan and Spring Fever from China.  Unlike the other 2 movies, 他她他 lacks depth in character portrayal.  Also, I don't like its Chinese movie title.

My 2 cents.

This is a reminiscent of many gay movies.

Calvin although hot looking at 33 yo is too old to portray a fresh graduate.

Jae Liew simply does not have the  making of an idol movie lead.

Eusebio is too gay looking for a gay movie. Audience are able to guess the story before even watching. There's no suspense building to speak of.

I could not find the reason for Euseibo to kill himself...was he overly depressd? or was it a sacrifice since he found his other peas so loving?

Perry was so str8 acting(maybe it was meant to deceive us) and Eusebio was so not str8 acting maybe to deceive us again hahaha.

Whatever my partner and I was ok with the show...no (#*!^ like some other movies that we felt was a waste of time n money too :D
