Guest Guest
Do we need NEA or the govt to mother? Looks like some in HWZ want that. We all have eyes to see and nose to smell, do we need nea to tell us to take precaution before you take some precaution? Some even say that nea is "censoring"!!http://www.nea.gov.sg/psi/PSI data is posted hourly at the abv link. The spokesbitch of all govt agency has spoken again. May you be consumed by the fumes. With the bad haze the amount of oxygen we breathe in is much less and combine with the toxic pollutants, it's very common to get headache. My eyes are also itching since yesterday. lausanne
I am thinking, if there was some kind of technology, that could create clean air out of water, maybe we can use that? If there was ever such a thing like massive giant fans to blow the bad air away from Singapore, and divert the smog directly to Jakarta, wouldn't that be just great? Guest Guest
you are right....i shld get air fresheners.... air purifiers not cheap....those cheap ones wont work well i think....Air freshner has cancer causing material. Can use, but sparingly. Pure Essential oil is butter. Air purifier works, should have one, with or without the haze. Guys, take cold shower regularly. It helps to cool down the body & release the tension headache. It makes you feel better & not so 'smoky'.
Guest Guest
can someone enlighten me, how does staying indoors help with this haze problem?!indoors with air con & air purifier on. Dun turn air con too cold. Sure kena flu when you step out in the hot temp tm. To save air con bill, turn on one & use fan to ventilate throughout whole house. If you dun need to ventilate the kitchen or toilet or other empty rooms at night, just shut the doors.

luke84
Hi guys, about the mask, just to inform you that surgical mask dun work. For those who were misinformed that they can wear surgical (3 ply) mask for the haze(Maybe because they have no other option), they have to understand that Surgical mask is mainly to block off water particles (such as during flu or cough) and it is too loose fitting to filter out micro particle (PM2.5)what you need is N95 (blocks 95% or mirco particles), N99 or N100 i'm sorry to hear that pharmacies and clinic are out of stock. do see if you can place orders with them. alternatively, this is how i got my masks. http://solutions.3m.com.sg/wps/portal/3M/en_SG/SG-IP/Main/cs/wtb/ i call the distributors directly and got from them.try calling as soon as the opening hours and just before lunch time end, when i was there, the calls went on and on but they were busy handling the 10+ over retailers and consumers that no one picked up the phone.so good luck! Guest Guest
well you have created such a bad name for yourself that i dun believe whatever you wrote even if its true... is that true?I love them but I saw on Taiwanese TV that it contains this toxic plastic material. I still use them & try to cut down on usage. Not so crazy about them like before.\ Guys, I stopped breathing while I was asleep since the haze started a few days ago. I had to get up every 4 hours cause my nose was so congested. De-congestant & panadol cold tablet did not not help much. Try to clear your nose with tissue before going to sleep Prop your pillow up to sleep helps a bit. I notice people are more agitated & moody nowadays. So be understanding & kind. Make them smile & feel good. So when all of us are happy, our immunity go up, too. Not to make light of the present situation, I was caught in a sandstorm in Beijing, May 1995. Imagine sand hitting against your whole body & you could not breathe or walk. When you hit the shower , the water is yellow. In the spirit of Ah Q.
