The government has assured that we have enough N95 masks and all major pharmacies will have stock by this evening. You are also not to stock up the masks and buy them only when needed.

yup, totally agree. you can just buy one box (of 20) from them and that's what i did for my family

I hope the haze will go away soon. I find it very difficult to give a proper blow job while wearing a face mask.

Just cut a small hole to let your tongue out, like Hannibal Lecter.

"let me taste your jalapeno".

If not, you could abuse your pet Chihuahua as a surrogate.

Note: Just a little wicked humour to chase the evil haze away.

I was out the whole day.

I noticed most tourists had their mask on.

I saw some locals wearing them, too.

The smokers seemed unaffected.

It was very surreal walking & observing how people response to the haze.

It's very apocalyptic.

I just used my hanky to cover my nose when it got too difficult to breathe.

I miss the sun, the blue sky & the trees.

My neighbourhood is like a ghost town. Hardly anyone ventures out and no kids playing or laughing.

The sun is like an orange. But the Vitamin C isn't getting through the haze.

Only N95 masks are effective for this haze situation. Don't waste time and money wearing those 3 ply medical masks. It's useless and only give u a false sense of security. The major pharmacies already have stocks for N95 masks and u can only buy one box at a time.

after haze, aunties might want to recycle by stuffing them in their bras to make them look

more perky.

Guys, you could also recycle them by using them as athletic cups.

Good confidence booster & therapy for those with micro penis syndrome.

Have more plant within your home, it helps to clear the air. But take care not to let the plant be a breeding ground for mosquito.

There is nothing we the ASEAN neighbours can do in the present moment to Indonesia. Just as we have spineless and weak people in our country they too have evil and treacherous things holding on to power there...

A direct confrontation in the form of economic sanction against them is not something our ruler is prepare to do.

We can only wait for them to burn out all their palm fields and forestry and wait for the fires to died out and subside. Until a new age of social awakening and awareness descend on this region, things and situations will hardly have a chance to change.

I only hope I can stay alive until then to witness change in human hearts and social movement...

SINGAPORE — Indonesia yesterday

chided Singapore for “behaving

like a child” in response to the

haze, but Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong would not be drawn into

a tit for tat, stressing that he was

“not in this exercise of megaphone

diplomacy”.

Speaking at a press conference

on the haze situation held at the Istana, Mr Lee said it would not be

“fruitful” for him to respond to Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister

for People’s Welfare Agung Laksono, who also claimed that his

country would not accept offers

of financial aid from Singapore to

deal with the forest fires in Sumatra if the amount was not “large”.

Asked if he wanted to respond

to Mr Agung, Mr Lee said that Singapore and Indonesia should work

towards solving the haze problem

rather than exchange harsh words.

“What we need to do is to solve the

Before last week, hitting above 100 was worrying. 2 days ago, only hope it doesn't go above 300 again. It's 367 at 10am. Soon we will be used to 300 until the fire is put out.

Hmmmmm would mass sending comments / feedback / emails to Indonesian websites be a persuasive method?

No need to check PSI. Just listen to our own bodies also know how bad the situation is.

Having very bad headache now. Throat scratchy and eyes stinging. Blocked nose leading to breathing difficulty. And I'm actually indoors. Seems like it's not much use staying indoors unless you seal up the whole house. Feels just as bad.

If a young athletic guy like me can feel this way, imagine how those old frail sickly Ah mas and Ah gongs cope?

I wonder why those fucking MIW still don't declare the entire week as PH. What's the point of telling us to close the windows and stay at home ? I still see some cleaners and construction workers working right now. Free N95 masks should be given out to all of us and utilities bills should be subsidized since they are not able to pressurize Indonesia into doing anything useful, this is the least they can do. SELFISH, money-minded assholes.

How long have u been in BW?

Why u keep creating various threads on haze when the mods have clearly merge all the threads together? U should be banned from posting new topics. All your topics are lame and most copy and paste from stomp.

I am also waiting for the govt to issue free N95 masks and sponsor our utilities bills ... this is the LEAST they can do, if there's really nothing much they can do about Indonesia side.

Can we send a LOUD message to our govt to please help Singaporeans in PRACTICAL ways to survive this crisis, instead of just advising stay indoors??

Aiya, can use but with caution & make sure it's airy.

But now with the haze, to open the window or not? that is another hazard.

Dun overdo or get addicted to airfreshner or anything.

Use natural instead, it's better. They sell this Mt Sapola electric air diffuser at GW but it's like a

Wu Lu. The lemon grass oil is very nice. But very ex, around $200. If friend now in Thailand, can ask them to buy, definitely half the price.

Looks like things are getting worse. I'm having more breathing difficulty today. :(

Try to have some sugar free mint(or carry with you).

It helps to cool the throat.

Some might experience panic attack, keep cool & calm yourself down with slow breathing.

A friend from England told me there had it worst back home, he could not even see his door in his house.

Think on the bright side.
