Guest Guest
I was out the whole day. I noticed most tourists had their mask on. I saw some locals wearing them, too. The smokers seemed unaffected. It was very surreal walking & observing how people response to the haze. It's very apocalyptic. I just used my hanky to cover my nose when it got too difficult to breathe. I miss the sun, the blue sky & the trees.

Guest Guest
siao liao maybe those aunties spoil market and buy 10 boxes at one go..... Only N95 masks are effective for this haze situation. Don't waste time and money wearing those 3 ply medical masks. It's useless and only give u a false sense of security. The major pharmacies already have stocks for N95 masks and u can only buy one box at a time.

Crumpler
SINGAPORE — Indonesia yesterday chided Singapore for “behaving like a child” in response to the haze, but Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong would not be drawn into a tit for tat, stressing that he was “not in this exercise of megaphone diplomacy”. Speaking at a press conference on the haze situation held at the Istana, Mr Lee said it would not be “fruitful” for him to respond to Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare Agung Laksono, who also claimed that his country would not accept offers of financial aid from Singapore to deal with the forest fires in Sumatra if the amount was not “large”. Asked if he wanted to respond to Mr Agung, Mr Lee said that Singapore and Indonesia should work towards solving the haze problem rather than exchange harsh words. “What we need to do is to solve the 浜崎あゆみ - 福冈市

angel_dust
I wonder why those fucking MIW still don't declare the entire week as PH. What's the point of telling us to close the windows and stay at home ? I still see some cleaners and construction workers working right now. Free N95 masks should be given out to all of us and utilities bills should be subsidized since they are not able to pressurize Indonesia into doing anything useful, this is the least they can do. But now with the haze, to open the window or not? that is another hazard. Dun overdo or get addicted to airfreshner or anything. Use natural instead, it's better. They sell this Mt Sapola electric air diffuser at GW but it's like a Wu Lu. The lemon grass oil is very nice. But very ex, around $200. If friend now in Thailand, can ask them to buy, definitely half the price.

Try to have some sugar free mint(or carry with you). It helps to cool the throat. Some might experience panic attack, keep cool & calm yourself down with slow breathing.
