Guest NiceGuy
Just to share something that I have encountered before. There was once that I had a fun with this guy, we had a long session of kissing, fondling etc.A few days after that, I was down with high fever, severe sore throat.Usually when I have sore throat, I will just pop by pharmacy to get some sore throat syrup. But this time, I had some "blister" like on the "walls “of my throat. It is unlike normal sore throat. So I went to see a doctor and the doctor just gave me some medicine for my fever and sore throat. But after taking for 2 days, my sore throat and fever never subside.I went to see another doctor on the 3rd day, and apparently the doctor told me that I had a virus infection. It is different from throat infection. He told me that it is usually transmitting thru kissing or exchange of saliva and cannot be cured with antibiotics.I cannot remember what medicine he gave me. All I remembered was that I was having nonstop fever for a WEEK. The fever was that terrible that I will wake up every night at about 4 am and feel nauseous and headache with the fever. Eventually, I start to recover after a week of torture.Well the moral of my story is to gaggle your mouth after sex. I will reduce the chance of getting such illness. Another experience that I would like to share is during one of my visits to the doctor for a hiv test. The doctor told me that it does not mean that when your partner is HIV + and you are HIV -, you will get HIV after you have unprotected sex. I cannot remember the figure but he told me is like 1 in a few thousand get it thru anal sex. It usually depends on you immune system and mostly on luck! Well, it is better that you don’t risk cos who knows when you will get “lucky”!Thanks for sharing.
Guest Guest
google for saliva and u will know mouth is a bad environment due to low salt content for HIV virus to stay alive.it sounds like if hiv touches ur saliva, ur saliva enyzmes will kill them.BUT if the low salt content in saliva is overwhelmed by breast milk or semen cos u swallow (both with higher salt content), then ur saliva protection is minimised.OT, if i suck a dick or kiss a person with a MINT candy....will HIV be killed by the menthol? What if I kiss or suck someone after a smoke, would the nicotine and poisonous chemicals coating left inside my mouth kill the hiv in my mouth? We agreed on safe sex and there are few condoms lying around in his place , but half way through , he stopped for a while then continue , though me on poppers i sense something is wrong so when he thrust in again , I suddenly stop and feel for his dick , that asshole took off his condom also. And the reason he gave me was he was too high. I stop the whole thing , wash myself up and was tearing on way home. I took was very sad and felt cheated and scared of cos. Please control your own sex needs now and go for a HIV testing in 3-6 mths time jsut to be safe for anyone else that you might laid. And if can , give some hint of that asshole. So that others will take note. Actually I kena 2 times , the other was a 3some with a couple , his bf was my regular FB and we always do raw then one day he ask me over and we act as if we don't know each other , but we did agreed on safe sex , but then in the end , both of them did raw , his bf ( my FB ) top and he top my FB then after that he top me raw too . I was too naive to push them away back then. But was sad why kena cheated again. My advice is try not to have sex with poppers with strangers and also , if someone is toping you from behind , notice if they suddenly stop and then did any funny action , in this case taking off the condom. Within the first 24hours after the raw fxxking, you can eat the medicine (30 medicines for 30 days in a row) and may stay away from HIV. Within 3days, the chance will decrease... Anyway, just go to the doctor, do the HIV test, then eat the medicine. I'm not sure about the price, but it's not too expensive. Even if it is, you have to do it.Remember, do it as soon as possible. Don't worry about anything, just go. Take care. Best wishes. I believe after this accident, you will be more careful.

May i check apart from Kelantan Lane Clinic, can any form of STD be treated at any of the clinics mentioned above? Anyone knows? Please advise, thanks. I like to share my experience when i visited to Kelantan Clinic a year back. I was infected with Syphilis. The treatment (injection) was fast but i was so stressed going through all the interviews. Before you visited the doctor, the nurse will interview you, then come the doctor. After that, i needed to proceed to a interview room where the social worker was. Very stress ... serious!! Guest Friendly advice
I've went to DSC for check recently after one of my previous called me that he was infected with STD.Yes. I was scared too..Just like you. Thinking here and there but i would like to share my experience with you...Like most of you, I wanted to go somewhere to do testing. But as mentioned above, only a few offers anonymous HIV testing. But if you read carefully, the only testing they offer is anonymous HIV testing and not other STD.HIV is a form of STD but there are at least 5 more different STDs( Sexually Transmitting Disease). Please read up more about STD and HIV from DSC website. From the DSC website, it is stated that please make appointment before going down. So I called and made an appointment. I chose to go DSC cos it is a government subsidised clinic. Treatments over there are cheaper compared to private GP.So I made my appointment after lunch and when I reach there, it was rather crowded. I have to wait for 10 people to register despite making an appointment earlier. You need to give a $30 registration fee with your NRIC and particulars. Oh. Forgot to mention that when you call and make appointment, the nurse will ask for your name and NRIC nos also. DSC only offer HIV anonymous testing at certain timeslots only. Please check the website for details. (http://www.dsc-sexualhealth.com.sg/showpage.asp?id=4 )After my registration, I was being directed to a waiting corner for consultation. You will be called by your number given and not by your name. So the first person called for my nos. I’m sure he is not a doctor. Not sure if he is a counsellor or nurse though. He explains that it is his duty to explain some stuffs to me before my testing. Please mentally prepare yourself to be ask quite a number of questions. The first guy asked questions like why are you here to do testing. And YES. They will ask about your sexual preference and ask things like is your partner male or female. Oral sex? Receive or give. Any anal sex? When did you all do? Is it a causal sex or your bf/gf etc. also questions like HIV will have a window period. When to test will be more accurate. Types of testing available. After that, he will direct you to the waiting area again. This time a nurse will call you. They are all male nurses and doctors for males and females for females. If I’m not wrong, female consultation is on the 2nd level. This time the nurse will ask you the same questions but they will document it into their system. He will recommend the testings that are available and he will do the testing for you. For me, being a bit kiasu. I ask to take all the testings that I can do. In the end, I did hiv, syphilis, gonorrhoea and clamydia. HIV testing has 3 types: oral swap, blood test and rapid test. Oral swap will just take a cotton bud and swap your mouth, Blood test involves needles and rapid test will be like those “stapler” where you did when you do you NRIC blood group. However, if you are doing syphilis testing, they will just do a blood test and drip some on the HIV rapid test kit. After that, you will need to wait for your Test results between 20 to 30mins. The doctor will then see you. Again, he will ask the same old questions about preference etc. he will then do a physical examination if required. Physical checks like checking for rashes or lumps .. in short symptoms of STDs.Lastly, the bill! The $30 adminstration fee you paid earlier on is just a form of deposit. The $30 will be deducted from the total bill which consititues of consultation fees, testing fees ( for breakdown of price, please check: http://www.dsc-sexualhealth.com.sg/showpage.asp?id=5 )Anyway, above is my first time experience at DSC clinic.ConclusionI know many wants to test for std and fear that you will leave a record. Let me tell you, medical records are confidential and only if you are transmitted with HIV, you will be referred to Tan Tock Seng for further treatment. For me, I think that since im already there, might as well I do all the tests that are available and I will feel better after that. Annoymous tested is only for HIV. Other STD can be lethal if found out at a later stage. So it is better to do testing while you are there. Seriously, most people go for testing for either they have symptoms, or recently had unprotected sex and you are afraid of contracting them. HIV is just one of the STD that you can contract. There are others too.. the only difference is that HIV is the only one that cannot be cured completely. FYI: AIDS is the latent stage of HIV. I emphasise that early detection will have better chance of recovery. The doctors and nurses are nice people. Why should you be scared of them where they are actually facing the danger of seeing all these STD potential patients every day? They are professional enough to give you advice and if you feel that there is a need, there will be a counsellor available and you can request to see them. Lastly, is your health more important that privacy? Many are afraid to disclose their information to them. Please, it is a government specialised area in such diseases. Would you rather wait till your symptoms arrive and worry day by day or give up your so call privacy where people outside the clinic would never know?Think again for those that are still hesitating to go for testing or not.And to those that had never done a test before, I think you better do one soon. Good Luck to all of you…Regards,Friendly Advice
Guest Friendly advice
My consultation fees for that day is less than a 100. But it bought better night's rest which i think it worth it.I'm not sure about the fees they charge outside DSC. But i heard that the testings are surely more expensive. Medicine or jabs are also subsidise by the government. so it is still cheaper than outside GP.

Guest orso
i see some fellas who regularly visit 10men having sudden weight loss.i think some maybe infected.the saunas are not doing enough to warn people the dangers. the afa should contact these sauna operators to reach out to make people aware.if something not done, suddenly they might find a lot of people stop coming.i wonder what else u expect the saunas to go. there are posters to remind ppl to use condomsthere are free condoms and lubriciants provided. if ppl dun want to use condoms, no one can force them. if u are a btm and the top dun want to use the condom, forget letting him top u. heck care whether he is gorgeous, he has whatever-amazing-size-shape dick ... safety should come first and u are responsible for your own body and no one else !! briax
Briax, thanks for the info. Very stress ... serious!!Hmm... I dun think I have the information on hand now. Let me check first and post any information once I get them. Do not want to confuse anyone here. fugues
Hi Jimmy, Please go to DSC and see the doctor within 72 hours of your suspected exposure. If necessary, they will start you on PET. The side effects are unpleasant but at least it will reduce or even eliminate the onset of any infection. Any later than 72 hours would be pointless. You are an adult now so please learn to look after yourself.Cheers!

Perhaps you should read more.HIV StagesHIV is categorized into four stages:Primary Infection: This is the period immediately following exposure to the virus. During this time, the virus rapidly replicates itself. You may also develop some flu-like symptoms, such as fatigue, sore throat, swollen lymph glands, fever, and headache, and possibly a rash. However, beyond this, there does not seem to be any early HIV symptoms. Throughout this stage, you are highly contagious and can easily spread the virus to others.Clinical Latency: Within weeks of being infected, your body will begin to mobilize its own immune response to the virus. Although you are still contagious and the virus is still continuing to duplicate itself and destroy your T4 cells, it is unlikely that you will display any HIV symptoms. This stage may last as little as two weeks or as long as 20 years. On average, however, it takes about 10 years before symptoms begin to develop. If you are tested and found to be infected during this time, you may be started on treatment. Symptoms of Early Infection: At this stage, hiv symptoms begin to manifest and indicates that your T4 cell count is beginning to drop (from 1000 cells/uL of blood to about 500 cells/uL of blood). A variety of symptoms of HIV may occur, and can include: * Diarrhoea * Unexplained weight loss * Oral thrush * Recurring yeast infections * Periods of extreme fatigue * Bruising easily * Recurrent oral ulcerations * Recurrent respiratory infections (i.e. bronchitis) * Recurrent or unusual rashes * Chronic dry cough * Recurring fever * Growths on mouth or skin that are discoloured or have a purplish hue * Unexplained bleeding from skin growths, mucous membranes or any bodily opening * Experiencing extreme numbness in hands and feet * Inability to control muscles and reflexes * Paralysis * Weakened muscles * Changes in personality or state of consciousness * Mental deteriorationAIDS: This is the final stage of HIV, though with improved treatment methods, this stage can be put off for many years while some may never develop AIDS.I'm sorry if i was rude, but i think it is good for me to share information with you. Guest Guest
1 in 5 gay US men has HIV http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/World/Story/STIStory_582514.htmlHome > Breaking News > World > StorySep 24, 2010 CHICAGO - NEARLY one in five gay and bisexual men in 21 major US cities are infected with HIV, and nearly half of them do not know it, US health officials said on Thursday.Young men, and especially young black men, are least likely to know if they are infected with HIV, according to a study by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.'We need to reinvigorate our response to preventing HIV among gay and bisexual men,' Dr. Jonathan Mermin, director of CDC's Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, said in a telephone interview.'We can't allow HIV to continue its devastating toll among gay and bisexual men, and in particular, among young black men.' Mermin's comments echoed an AIDS policy rolled out in July by the White House that asked states and federal agencies to find ways to cut new HIV infections by 25 per cent.Researchers at the CDC studied 8,153 men who have sex with men in 21 US cities. The men were taking part in the 2008 National HIV Behavioral Surveillance System, which looked at prevalence and awareness of the human immunodeficiency virus or HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.Overall, they found that 19 per cent of gay men are infected with HIV. -- REUTERS
