Hopefully all you useless civil servants get nothing

Civil and public service salary is capped at the 30% percentile of the equivalent grade in private sector. In other words, there are many in the private sector earning more.

Dear guest, I wish you do well in the private sector and have a bountiful year.

SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) has announced today that it has upgraded the GDP growth forecast for this year from 1.0 to 3.0 per cent, to 2.5 to 3.5 per cent, echoing the statements made by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Message.

Last year when the growth was 1.3%, the bonus was 0.7. Based on this year's better growth, maybe higher? Lol

Really hope so. Money always no enough, especially in the run-up to the festive season with all the shopping and parties to look forward to. :)

Before you silver serpent think about getting your fat bonus, did you ask yourself these questions?

1) Have you been working hard all these years to serve the community or simply lazy around surfing nets to pass boring time?

2) Have you been underpaid as compare to you working in private sector.

3) Does your workload justify fat bonuses including 2 - 3 tea breaks everyday?

4) Do you deserves to be paid bonuses when many private sectors are not practicising bonus anymore.

5) Have you been doing bad things to your colleagues/customers during the year pror to your bonus?

The answers -

1) Yup. Working really hard given job scopes in the civil service have been expanded to cope with the dearth in recruitment.

2) Yup. For the same amount of work, public sector peers are earning more.

3) Yup. I don't even have time for lunch cos I have to reply to judgmental and ridiculously demanding members of public.

4) Yup. Those not earning bonuses from private sector can always choose to join the civil service where they're assured of at least a 13th month AWS. Then again, they'll never achieve their dreams of becoming filthy rich.

5) How is this even relevant??
