You must be a contemporary of Paul Anka, a "baby boomer", in your case a baby that never "boomed" but got your musical taste stuck with old-fashioned Paul Anka! Well... you can have it Your Way. My musical education as a child was with Classical Music, which is TIMELESS, which is as fresh and modern today as it was hundred of years ago. Well, good luck with your music that grandpas and grandmas now hear in their old folk homes.

He is also getting educated in classical music. You instead are bound to the music of Paul Anka, something from 50 years ago. But I would not call 50 years a HUGE gap beyond measure. 43 minutes ago, jlone said: To each his own. It's better to respect one another's preference for music or songs. I agree. The preference in art is something personal. And it should not give opportunity for some Guests to throw stones that are as hard as soap bubbles. Guest Guest Curious
Those who thinks any piece written for a music instrument is the same as a piece written for voice must be numbered on one hand at most. Paul Anka's music crosses generations as much as that of the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Abba and so many others. Odd, isn't it. Abba is one of today's most popular groups despite their heyday being in the 1970s. All these four groups started in the 1960s and 70s yet remain more popular than any pianist and have collectively sold more than 1 billion records. They actually sing! Guest Pickering
What the world needs now , in this age of internet madness, intense greed , global climate catastrophe, nuclear arms proliferation, immense wealth inequality. Is to remember , we have only one earth and we need to share the earth and resources with all living creatures, including wildlife, fishes, insects . We are all interconnected . And earth is slowly and increasingly acceleratedly dying. And not enough people cares. Credit to song writer team Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Who wrote so many of her earlier hits with genius, avantgarde chords and non conventional arrangements. Lets come together and heal each other with LOVE.
