3rd Night
I decided to separate the 3rd night as it is in a different location, and is the penultimate closing party. While the first two nights were held in Central World, the final night was a convention hall in Bang Na area. The whole setup was grand - matching an international level event. In the line to get in, we met some local guys who bought tickets at the door (3000B).

 

There was a reminder from Gcircuit that this was a wet event so swimwear or sportswear was advised. Very diffferent from Night 1 and 2, where the beauties revelled in leather gear, harness, clubbing wear. The curtain of water was also a projection backdrop, and an interactive element for the gogoboys on stage. Cost/Value:
We bought our tickets at the second sale phase, which saw a slight increase in price. Total for 3 nights were about $290, which is not expensive at all. If you are keen to experience Gcircuit, at least once, do get the tickets at the first pre-sale period, which should start in Nov to Jan. All in all, it was worth the price - and a definite fun time to have with new friends. Early hotel booking should also be made, but roughly, this trip did not cost too much compared to my normal Bangkok trip, which usually costs $500 or $600 maximum.

Yea, i like that place too - used to the called Thrive. and only in the past year, rebranded at Minimis. 

 

Used to stay there often during university days, since it was cheap and not too far from Silom & Sala Daeng.

 

My guess is that it is still under a bit of renovation? The last time I saw that only the ground floor was updated, hopefully if they close for reno, they would update the rooms as well.

 

Either that, or someone in Bangkok will need to scope and update us what is happening to that place.

the whole point of exploring is to explore isn't it? meaning no need to ask, keep your wits about you and just do it. if you are looking for a curated experience that is within your comfort zone...that is not exploring.  plus how to answer a query about exploring, in a public forum when said exploration query is prefaced with a vague "various personal reasons"? 
 

my advice will be just to head down to Silom, walk down boystreet and then consider DJ station or G.O.D. DJ has a few sections and areas, so you can walk around and see which one you like best.  DJ is pretty tame and close to a "normal" clubbing experience, G.O.D is where it can get intense.

It's a bit odd though as the Minimis refresh was only 1 year old as of 2018 - strange they would put in the investment to get that done, along with rebranding and website, only to have it scraped in less than 24 months.

Maybe the redevelopment is one of those things that is not confirmed until it is, and then everything moves full speed.

It's in Patpong 2, the smaller, narrower soi running parallel to the main Patpong with the night market. If you know Screwboys, which has always been in Patpong 2, around there. Coming from Surawong into Patpong 2, Screwboys is not even 50m in on the left hand side, ground floor.
