In Bangkok right now, looking for recs (shy guy, never done it before):

spot for:

1. start slow with a good massage + hj

2. massage + bj

3. is there any place where they do the bj in public so I can watch other guys get sucked?

Usually I won't mix good massage with sex service, as most of the time the masseurs that provide extra services won't bother to give a proper massage even if they are actually skilled. They are after higher tips. There are exceptional ones that also good in massage but you need to know their names and book them in advance.

1) For good and professional massage, you can try PRIME Massage (very few masseurs there do offer HJ, depends on who you get that day) . PRESTIGE Massage is also not bad
2) There are so many proper or gay massage shops in BKK offering sex or bj, just walk around Silom you can find them
3) Thais are not that open to do bj in public spaces, you can watch them in gay onsens and saunas (go Maxwell Onsen or O-Party in R3 sauna or Sauna Mania)

For sure, if you want to watch, go to the onsen steam rooms.

Generally they are much better lit compared to steam rooms in the gay saunas.

Onsen steam rooms seem to be the centre of activity, whereas gay saunas' steam rooms tend to be quiet in BKK.

Btw everything is normal here in Bkk, for those who have plans to travel here soon, don't worry...

Soaking in Bangkok’s Male Onsen Haven ♨️

In the past two years, numerous gay onsens have sprung up in Bangkok from nowhere, quickly becoming popular spots for gay hookups. I heard a lot about the new Maxwell Onsen near Chong Nonsi that recently opened in April. Since my hotel was just a few blocks away, visiting this hotspot was a must. I finally made time to visit one evening.

The venue boasted a beautiful ambience reminiscent of a luxurious Japanese hot spring ryokan. Upon arrival, a friendly lady receptionist greeted me and asked where I came from. A cute Thai staff member then showed me the way aroundFollowing Japanese bathhouse etiquette, I stored my shoes in a locker and changed into a small towel in the locker room at level M. My first stop was straight to the onsen area. It's customary to cleanse oneself at the Japanese-style shower area before soaking in the pools. After showering, I proceeded to the renowned steam room…

Unlike other onsens, the temperature inside this steam room was just right. They must have perfected the temperature so it was comfortable and conducive for naughty activities for a longer time. People were freely giving and receiving blowjobs and handjobs. Everything, Everywhere, All at once...slurping sounds abound.  I found a spot to sit so I could soak in this beautiful sight. The crowd was generally friendly and sporting. Nobody pushed anyone away. I spotted some hot guys at a corner and joined in the mayhem...

The eye candies were high quality,  a mix of attractive Thai and Asian guys from China, Hong Kong, Korea etc, mostly young and fit-looking. For a weekday, it had a sizable crowd of around 30-40 pax. The 3 hot and cold pools here were legit too, unlike Zen onsen which was mainly decoration. I had a nice relaxing soak in the warm 38-degree pool. The sauna also had a nice citrus scent too. Enough of the onsen, I changed into the Japanese robe to explore the other levels.

Level 2 was the Cafeteria. Salt Therapy Room and Mindfulness Room were right at the end. Surprises await so don't miss checking them out too... lol. Level 3 had the “Thai Massage Rooms”. The facilities were still spanking new and well-maintained. Not many people were lounging at level 3. Judging from the drawn curtains, tissue boxes and trash bins full of used tissues, the “Massage Rooms” were probably utilized for a quickie if you found someone you fancy at the onsen below.

The entry ticket came with a free meal, so I decided to replenish my energy and ordered the Kimchi Pork rice bowl with miso soup. The meal was not too bad, comparable to the Japanese set meal I had at the Japanese restaurant Ootoya a few nights ago. There was an all-day free flow of drinks, ice cream and desserts too. After 10pm, the service counter closes but you can still have some self-service Japanese curry and rice.

If you have time for just one onsen in Bangkok, I highly recommend visiting the Maxwell Onsen.

yup highly recommended. really loads of eye candy there... well worth the trip... the onsens relaxing too...

Sauna Mania review

Sauna Mania Review: Visit Fri, 2 Aug 24, 5.30pm (-11.30pm), there was no queue, no ID required, paid the fee for foreigner (340 Baht), an older guy will show you the locker and help you with the locks (2 pad locks, 1 usual key lock). You’re not allowed to wear any slippers not even the thin hotel slippers! The towel provided is really very small, actually it is a joke, maybe it is meant to cover your private parts for shy guys… Bring your own towel, if you want to dry properly after shower.

The sauna has all facilities (steam, dry sauna) but also an onsen pool. Guys use the gym. It has many floors, a roof garden, resting areas. Crowd turns up around 6.30pm but on arrival there were already a bunch of decent guys around. It gets raunchier around 8pm. The mix of guys is everything (slim, muscular, normal and some but few even chub). From origins, you get nearly all what you want. Majority for sure Asian.

What I liked most was that the dark room is sufficiently luminated and not the extreme dark type as in Singapore. You can figure out the other guys very well in the maze area. The maze gets a bit overcrowded after 8pm, which means you have to push through guys on times to walk the area. As usual there are some annoying guys who will need to edge through the maze, even when it is blocked…

For the rooms with bed, negative point is, it doesn’t have lube dispensers and tissue paper. (bring your own)

There is a bar at the gym/ locker level, gym was used but bar was quite empty. There is free water on the floor with the dry sauna but small paper cups. (Bring your own drinks!)

As for many comments on this sauna, I did not find the area dirty or totally run down. It is an old building, eventually the interior is old also but it is well kept and clean. Be aware that there are 5 or 6 floors and you need to walk stairs to go to showers or down to the locker area. But many comments are exaggerated as walking the stairs is manageable, the stair cases are also sufficiently luminated.

The only negative thing is that from nationalities there are 60%/70% Mainland Chinese at the peak times. The Chinese like to gather around the entrance area of the maze and block the way, also standing around this first part of the maze when you inter from the walk corridor. While they browse through the darker maze areas, most of them seem like shy first timers visiting a sauna and not taking much initiative in doing fun. Many also chit chat around the “Mainland China” gathering points and just stand around. The positive point with the Mainland Chinese they don’t mind walking naked (You can easily figure out who the Singaporeans are, 😂  ). Some of the Chinese are Taiwanese, so it’s like a reunification. Many Chinese seem just interested in other Chinese but they reject nicely. All in all, at the most crowded time it was at least 150 to 250 guys. The rest are Thai (30%), maybe 6 – 10 White guys, just a few Indians, some Koreans and Japanese maybe 2 BBC. Noted 3 Malay guys also. Most of the Thai guys were hot eye candy but unfortunately, the Thais are in the minority. Age wise the majority was in mid 20s to mid-30s. The Thai guys are friendly but some prefer to stick to their own people, while two good looking Thai boys pulled me to a room (in fact tightly holding my hand and guiding me to a room – felt sweet).

While the maze offers a good area for fun, surprisingly there wasn’t as much fun action as I expected or desired. Surprisingly, the Thai guys were the most direct to engage with you if they liked you.

What I really love was that rarely guys are direct dick grabbers but have manners in approaching you gently. That was a big difference to Singapore saunas, where guys just grab your dick when walking around or passing by and some reaching out to every dick when they walk through corridors.

The steam room was always quite empty most times and no action at all. I did not use the onsen, but water seemed clear.

After 10.30pm the crowd will thin out, the place is open until 2am on weekends. But maybe on Saturday it is different if guys go or come from clubs at later hours.

Comparing to some recent critics online, it seems that not all is true or guys went on the wrong timings. In review of other locations, I did not find the place dirty or unacceptable. The visitors were well mannered. Never had to resort to slapping someone. Even for medium looking guys or not the gym toned muscular boy, there is probably a catch. But you need to be aware that the mix of guys is limited due to the overwhelming Mainland Chinese visitors.

Would still give the sauna a 7 out of 10.

Totally agreed. Lots of eye candy... people are respectful generally... I went on a Sunday night foam party too and it was an eye opener, lots of action on display. Yes it's true the Mainland Chinese prefer to look for their own, but wow many are so good looking I'm willing to pay the entrance fees just to watch them 😄  Anyway it was a good experience and yea the lighting in the maze is bright enough to see other people's faces and bods unlike at our local ones :-) will definitely visit again when I'm back

Just thought I'd drop a review of my trip for:-

Prime Massage - weekday at about 1.30pm - I managed to get a walk-in 90 minute oil massage. Maybe it was early in the day. Only managed to get one massage this trip as I only needed one! The masseuse was very firm and got all my knots, that I was sore the next day and was in no shape to get tenderised again. Ran out of time on my third day. I tipped 250 THB.

The Quarter Silom - I think this will be my go-to hotel in Bangkok now. Book yourself a slightly larger room with balcony. It was clean however the aircond did smell a bit musky - probably from the humidity of Bangkok. Walls are a bit thin, can hear room neighbours having a conversation. It is VERY CRUISY. Everytime I walked into the reception foyer, gym or the breakfast room, I felt like I had walked into a gay sauna and I was the 'fresh meat' with the eyes looking. The breakfast food spread was not bad for a small hotel - but not what some might expect eg. noodle bar or egg station - be realistic for the cost of the hotel. The gym is small and basic-to-OK equipped to maintain major muscle groups, however it is full of young local men that sit at machines and are there for literally hours...you can do the math. I had fun in the steamroom however on  2 days of my stay. Be discreet please as staff do check and there are straight patrons.

DJ Station and GOD - Unfortunately I only got to go for one night out of the 3 nights I was here as I went during the Buddhist Lent festival which meant that Saturday and Sunday nights, they were closed. The Friday I went, it was busy - entry to both is 400THB each. DJ required me to show ID which I used a photo of my passport on my phone. I enjoyed DJ more than GOD as I personally got more "eye contact" with guys. GOD was just so busy and dark it was a meat factory, like animals in an abattoir. You can't see much, and you can't meet anyone. Music abruptly ended at 2.51am and the bright lights came on and they closed shop.

Maxwell Onsen - close to The Quarter, but a bit of a walk from Sala Daeng station. Entry is 580THB (correction). Crowd is mostly below 40, of Asian descent. Very easy on the eye, but also very competitive as a result. Service is good, except for the front counter ladyboss. Food was karaage chicken or kimchi pork bowl. I had a funny moment when I went, as there were two Caucasian men who were obviously straight and wore their jinbai pants downstairs in the pools and sauna. I asked them what were they doing and advised them that the place is a gay and bisexual venue..they didn't know as they just googled "sauna near me". We all had a good laugh about it, I advised them not to go into the steam room. They left soon after anyway. The action happens in the steamroom and it gets packed. It's a dark steam room, and not illuminated like Zen, so be wary.

Other than that, it was mostly just retail therapy at Chatuchak/Platinum Fashion mall and eating street foods.

Also, side note, if you're using Grindr - you're not in SG anymore. Don't start with a message/demand  of "pic" when you have zero profile photos or one very blur photo and the other person has 3 or 4 clear profile photos. I scolded someone for that, and I knew they were from SG before I even asked and got blocked lol. Grow up and be respectful.

I hope this helps to those going in the future.

I stayed at a nicer hotel this time but curious about the Quarter... did you find the walls too thin like some of the other comments here?

Also the guys hanging out at the gym, are they MBs or just looking to hook up?

I went to check it out (as I stayed in the area) and it feels pretty nice so wondering if I should try that for my next trip.

Also just wanted to add a travel tip - I saw many blogs and videos not to buy sim card at the airport, instead go to 7-11 in the city. But the phone network stands e.g. AIS at the baggage area sell the same SIM cards e.g. 8gb for 8 days at thb299. So you can just get your SIM card and start surfing straight after you touch down :-) works find for all the grindr surfing and instagram posts etc. Enjoy guys!!

The problem are the rip offs.

There are some installing lower value SIM cards (not getting the 8gb or just for 28 hours access) or quoting at higher prices compared to the 299 deal. The trick is that they insist on installing the card for you...

You were lucky to get to a trustful booth.

The place is nice. Definitely has a cruisy energy in the public areas of the hotel.
However I do wish the rooms were nicer.
I have stayed in other Quarter hotel, the room much better

Krubb sauna and Chakran sauna

I hear n read review Chakran very run down now, change name to V-club.

The staff push to hire MB or massage. Rude to foreigner. Seems very empty now.

Management seem to have switch to rent room like Babylon last time.

(many such place with MB have raid last years, last one 11 July 23, go google)

Krubb seem a bit atas and dark room small. Problem when event must pay more and action only start after event but close at midnight. Fewer Thai boi becoz entry charge the highest. Only rich Thai will go. And if special event charge can be more higher. If u seek expat, white guy, latino, then maybe go, but also many from cina.

Ratchada- R6 name now depend on staff at counter, if not lucky the counter will charge 1.500 to 2000 Baht if above 45y, on time will just ask any foreign to pay 1.500 saying got special event, then most night is underwear, the counter will ask to see nd say ur underwear not good and charge another 500 baht to buy from them. if any event - foam party, dance night etc then entry 700 Baht. It attract the circuit party crowd but many mainland cina go there.

Big deception ….Came to this place but the customer service it’s everything else than customer service but everything about “pay” and “pay”.Paying to access at one place is ok, but didn’t know why paying 1160 BTH without knowing the reason and answered “u pay or not? We have a party, pay pay pay…”What the H….???

Pricing seems arbitrary with R3. Probably was special event and foam party on same date. But not sure.

R3 also hire these model boys. Costs money!

This was not consistent with my experience earlier this year.
There was an event and the entrance fee was  about 400 (can't remember exactly), and also got given a voucher for free weekday entry.

There seems to be misinformation in the earlier posts about some of the saunas in Bangkok. It's unclear whether the writer has actually visited these places in the past 12 months or are relying on outdated reviews or hearsay. To clarify the current situation for first-timers and those planning to visit Bangkok soon, here’s a low-down of the 5 Popular Gay Saunas in Bangkok:

Chakran Sauna - Entry Fees: 450 THB (OG Party)

Since the demise of Babylon Sauna, Chakran is probably one of the longest-standing sauna in Bangkok right now. Contrary to what some suggest, Chakran Sauna has not been changed to V-Club. V-Club is their massage business located in the same building but on the ground floor, and it operates separately from the sauna. Chakran Sauna is not as run-down as some might think, especially compared to places like Sauna Mania, which has neglected renovations. It has undergone numerous updates, including the addition of a Japanese onsen and play space on the rooftop, which opened around the pandemic. During my last visit at the end of last year, they were also renewing the locker areas. Sadly, Chakran has seen better days, and its mainly youthful Thai crowd can be sparse despite the daily rooftop OG events.

Krubb Sauna - Entry Fees: 390 THB (Mon-Thu), 490 THB (Fri-Sun)

Krubb Sauna is the sexiest new addition to Bangkok’s sauna scene and is popular with tourists of various nationalities. This place has interesting theme parties like Thai night on Mondays where everyone is cruising in Thai-style sarongs! Their weekend parties, featuring regular appearances by models or OF stars, are quite lively. No doubt occasional special events or major holidays may come with higher fees, this is standard practice in Bangkok. Krubb, like most saunas, offers lower entry fees for Thai residents. The average Thai salary might limit how often they visit, but this place is definitely not exclusive to the rich Thais.

Sauna Mania - Entry Fees: 340 THB (Normal), 460-480 THB (Foam Party)

If you have time for only one sauna, Sauna Mania is the place to go. Its extreme popularity is due to the close proximity to Silom gay district.  You can be ensured there is always action even after 12am on weekends. The downside is that the place is rather run-down and rooms are always occupied when it gets crowded. You have to make out in the aisles! Despite this,  the eye candy - consisting of mostly fit-bodied Asian guys, some Thai and a few farangs - more than makes up for it.

R3 Sauna - Entry Fees: 300 THB (Normal), 460-480 THB (Foam Party)

R3 Sauna, owned by the same group behind Sauna Mania, primarily attracts Chinese visitors nowadays, but it also draws many other Asian tourists, especially for its outrageous O-Party on weekends. Previously in its heyday, R3 charged exorbitant fees for those over a certain age and checked IDs at the entrance, but this practice has ceased since the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of our friends have visited recently and have only paid the standard advertised prices.

39 Underground - Entry Fees: 200 THB (Mon-Thu), 240 THB (Fri-Sun)

A little further in the Saphan Khwai area lies a hidden local sauna called 39 Underground. The customers here are generally more mature, with about 90% being Thai locals of various ages, body types and sizes. Of all the saunas mentioned, this is the cheapest and probably the most run-down, so it might not appeal to everyone. The sauna gets crowded with locals even on weekdays and you might chance upon stout and very straight-looking Thai guys you don’t normally see elsewhere, if you are lucky. The action in the underground maze is hot and definitely not for the faint-hearted!!

Different saunas attract different crowds, and personal preference plays a significant part. Some might encounter not so pleasant experiences compared to the rest. If you have the time, do visit the following saunas on their event days to find your favorite!

Recommended Sauna Hopping in Bangkok:

Friday: 39 Underground (Mask Party)

Saturday: Krubb  (Fire Party)

Sunday: Sauna Mania (Foam Party)

Monday: R3 (Mask Party)

I visit some of the places you mention last 8 months R3, Mania, Krubb, not 39 Underground but never comment on last one.  Chakran I not visit past months becoz the review all very bad. If u check the review on Chakran summary of reviews are not outdate but very recent! My good fren is also working in BKK last 6 year and frequent sauna visitor.

I m not sure if u visit recent all sauna or just mention ur past experience (like Chakran).

There are plenty of new review confirm my other post on the Chakran sauna.

"Terrible impression, don't go there. 450 THB entrance fee on weekdays for foreigners, the sauna itself is dirty, lockers are on regular keys, not electronic locks 🙂 There are cameras in the changing rooms! The pool doesn't work, dry and wet saunas are catastrophically small, there is no light and it smells. There are much better places in Bangkok for a lower price, highly not recommended, I want to take a shower after this place."

The price on weekdays is very expensive at 450 baht, and the quality is very poor. There are few people in it. What a terrible experience. I will never go there again.

There is one new review on travel gay just from 1 Sep 24 and says Chakran sauna parts now closed for renovation and upgrading!  Need to do new check with Chakran after renovation done.

Went R3 in February 24 with my gay fren live in BKK, he 45y, the counter staff try to pocket money and ask 1500 Baht from him. The staff do this with white guy mostly. Other time he just pay the normal price he say. it depend the staff on duty. My fren say, when the one boss who pose with the model boys not around, the counter staff play this game. Same for asking to buy underwear brand from them on underwear night.

R3 is also many time not so full with people as before. Only full when have special event or O party.

The price 460 - 480 you quote is for Fri-Sun.

probably one of the least memorable one out of the bunch in BKK, with too dark areas and somehow less crowd comparing to the likes of sauna mania.

Me saying the place more for the rich Thai because the price for Thai also more expensive than other sauna place. If u visit will see got more international crowd than Thai guy. Got more foreign people and plenty from China than Thai, even when young Thai below 23 have low price of 120 to 150 Baht, foreigner like 90 % inside. dark maze is small and get very pack when event day/ weekend. For those not interested in event will be less people at cruising maze and after action time less before the sauna close.

The other place 39 underground I won't comment becoz I never visit this one.

Everyone have different preference, ur experience then maybe different.

This was not consistent with my experience earlier this year.
There was an event and the entrance fee was  about 400 (can't remember exactly), and also got given a voucher for free weekday entry.

Yes this the entrance price for Weekend. R3 have special event always on weekend:

Special Events

(Friday-Saturday-Sunday)

THB 460

https://www.r3sauna.net/

But when other events day like when Songkran, New Year price can go up to 690/750 for foreigner.

Hi

I am in Bangkok now thinking of going to a foam party at r3.  Based on chats above it is on Monday but at what time and when is the best time to enter?  I am staying in Silom.

Which one is recommended for Friday evening?  I see that 39 underground is mask party tonight.  What else is happening?

any advise is appreciated.

You can try Sauna Mania Sunday foam party. It starts 8.30pm but good to go around 7.30pm to explore. It's located in Silom so probably more convenient for you compared to R3.

As to the Insta from R3 the foam party is only on Sat and Sunday. Friday is the Red Room Event. Not sure what Red Room stands for... Check with R3 directly! r3sauna@gmail.com

The event on R3 starts always at 8.30pm.

Best is to arrive before any potential queues build up, around 6.30pm/ latest by 7pm (for both places).

The same program for R3 shows the foam party at Mania on Sundays.

(ok, the link goes to Tiktok).

Not sure on your age but 39 Underground attracts the above 35y crowd, Mania or R3 more the younger ages also. (But as usual depending on luck...) You need to know what your preference of guys is.

Tip: Mania can be actually better found when taking the BTS to Chong Nonsi and leaving at exit 2 or exit 4 (in between both exits is already the Soi Phipoi 2 leading to Mania. Just need to walk straight until you see the small Mania sign on the right side.

What’s the foam party at Sauna Mania like? Is it worth going?

And is the entry fee higher on weekends than weekdays?

Just personally speaking, I think it's worth going as it's a real eye opener (I rarely go to these theme parties).

So, on the top floor, the guys gather at 8.30pm and the organisers will spray alot of foam (it can reach body level). No towels or anything so everyone is naked... it's like an orgy but I would say only 20-30% are playing whilst the rest are watching or just touching... but a lot of good looking Chinese guys there... to me, it's worth it just to see them naked, bonus if they are fucking or getting fucked... there are some hired Thai models in the middle of the platform too letting other people play with them, but usually they just let people suck, I see them topping some guys, don't know if they are models or customers...

Entry fee is THB460 (but I think the reception charged me 480 or just din return another 20 baht, but that's fine) compared to normal entry price if THB 340. So not too expensive if you want to go explore, and if luck has it, have a good time.

Enjoy!!
