Just for info to the budget travellers to Bangkok staying at Pinnale Hotel, Ibis Sathorn, Malaysia Hotel and Babylon Barracks, you can take the airport bus AE1. It passes through Rama 4 road. Just inform the driver to stop you at Lumpini Tower (Bon Gai). From the bus stop, you then will need 5 mins walk to Pinnacle and 15mins walk to Malaysia and Ibis. Babylon needs a longer walk. It's only convenient if one travels with a backpack and not with big luggages.

but if there's more than one of you then its quite ridiculous to pay 300bht or more (150 per pax) cos cab is only 220

i think i-sathorn is best cos its only 1200 and 1 min from bts station and has a rooftop pool and is new

im sorry but pinnacle, malaysia and babylon is just so eew

Well Manhood, don't mention it. We all here are happy to help. Do post a more thorough review of Ibis if possible when you come back.

Don't forget to visit the Lumpini Thai boxing match which is held on ?Tues or Wed night if you do have the time. I plan to do this on my next trip. In the meantime, do enjoy yourself. And also please remember that Babylon sauna is within walking distance. wink. wink.

Dear Erection Day,

Since my last visit to Bangkok, I did another visit four days ago and I stayed at "Take A Nap" motel for three nights. This hotel was recommended by someone in this forum. I booked the room throught their website www.takeanaphotel.com

The room that I booked was "let's rock", room number 401 on 4th floor. It cost me Bht1000 per night with breakfast.

Below are my field report about the hotel and the room, and the facilities available.

The hotel is very conveniently located at silom, just 5 minutes walk to patpong. It is two doors away from the K-why sauna. Other than the convenient location, there is nothing peculiar about this motel. The room is partitioned up using wooden partitions. The aircon in the room is not cold enough. There is no table, no side desk, no rubbish bin inthe room! The wash basin is just a VERY VERY small basin hardly enough to put your toothbrush and toothpaste. The shower fountain is leaking so half the water were wasted and you don't get to shower properly. Also, there is no wardrope to keep your clothings, they provide a hanger that is so old and run-down that I don't evey bother to use. The room is of odd sizes, and is very small, merely 15 sq meters.

The breakfast they serve is extremely primitive, very oily fried mee-hoon, fried egg, bread and some ugly looking sausages, coffee and tea, artificial orange "juice", milk and water. That's it!

I would not go to this motel again for the sake of my next trip. For an additional 200 bhat, I can stay at Pinnacle Lumpini, a much more proper hotel.

The pictures shown in the website is very attractive and beautiful but the actual wall is only plastic wallpaper sticked onto the wall, and the work-manship is VERY VERY horrible!

Salute to the owner of the motel, so daring to charge such high price. I would say Bht500 per night is the right price for this room.

Typical Cheapo! For Bht500 u can only get a hostel bunk bed space. This is Silom 5 minutes walk to Patpong we are talking abt. How extravaganza u want it to be for that price?

And breakfast includes fried beehoon, egg, bread, sausages, coffee and tea, orange juice, milk and water. And do expect some buffet for that price u pay?

Stop embarassing yourself in front of the Thais!

I booked the room because it LOOK DAMN FINE to me too. You should book a night and stay there to understand what I wrote. I would not even stay at Bht500. Other than what I have written, other bad points include: when someone talk outside you can hear exactly every word that they say, even when the people outside are talking softly. So you can imagine the traffic noise. I admit I am a typical cheapo if that makes you happier.

Came back from my annual Bk trip two weeks ago.

I must say that sadly Albury (which I used to rave in the past) has gone downhill. The evening I went there, there were hardly any customers. And the masseurs are just pretty ordinary. Not a match at all to the other massage harem- Hero (which still packed in the crowds especially during the busy, busy CNY period).

And I am glad I went back to V-club. The masseurs there are very enticing too.

Hero and V-club can fight it out.

I will be travelling in transit have onlew few hours in Bangkok, from mid night till about 6am. Didn't want to book a hotel as I thought it will be a waste. Anybody can advise where to go? Is there a massage place that open 24 hours in Silom? Sauna seems to be a choice, any sauna at Silom or near?

If you are there during weekend (Fri or Sat night) you don't mind spending the night at sauna, you can try the Sauna Mania which is off Silom Road. It is till around 6am the next morning. Weekday nights, I think it is open till 12 midnight. You can refer to the website for map:

http://www.thailandout.com/mania/

There are some cheap hotels in Silom for around THB1,000+ which you may wish to consider if you want to get some decent sleep.

I was in BKK last week, when I was on the taxi from city to airport, I saw the express train from Airport to city running and also heard from colleagues there that it is running now, you even can check in from MRT station ??? in city (like in KL, HongKong, etc ... )

May be I will try it next week to see how it is and "report" later

I am staying in this hotel Unico Express (20 mins walking from Nana BTS station) which was recommended by a friend.

http://www.unicoexpresshotel.com/

A very good deal.

Regarding the express train from Airport to city, the train is running for trial without customer now. I heard may be around end of this year, it will be in operation.

Thanks castaway on the express train info... well, gotta stick with good old taxi for the moment then... I like to stay near Nana BTS as well coz convenient and access to lotsa good food, but the hotel I always go to is Ibis Nana at Soi 4. Real convenient and friendly staff, no question asked on your date of the night :D around 10mins walk to BTS Nana.

You all go Bangcock never get to know the gays or bis there?

What they like? How they socialise?

I got to know 2 groups and I usually stayed with some of them. I get food and lodging in return they take turn to bang me. The food and lodging is worse than no star in most cases  but it was not cheap or easy for them. I told them frankly that I am just as poor as them in Singapore.

Of course they are those that love fair, smooth chinese uncle and hate hairy farangs.

They take me to local cheap bars and cafes. It should be no surprise that they are just as gossipy as any gay groups. I sort of belonged to the person who hosted my stay and anybody interested in me will join us chatting and if okay by me or my host I will be taken back for a good banging. Then we will be back for more chatting. I cannot understand much thai but my hosts will usually speak some english and explained that they are gossiping about me in bed.

They were too shy to do group sex even though I don't mind. At best I tried a 3some with some of them. Usually the next guy will wait outside while I served another rather than joining in. My hosts explained that they are here chatting all the time so it was awkward to get sexually involved even in 3some. Whereas they are sure that I don't do what I do there in Singapore. Well, that was indeed true.

The groups are 30+ to 50+. Quite a lot of them are married but for some the wives are at home in the villages. Unlike in Singapore, most are tops. Some of them rent houses together for convenience. They got to know each other through internet, cruising, saunas etc . In Thailand, they have a unspoken class division. They are the poor class from mostly the villages who support the Thaksin red gang. The richer Bangcock people will support the blue gang. The higher class are usually the fairer ones especially the chinese.

I was quite a novelty to them. At 40+ still skin so smooth and fairer than their women. And so fxxkable. They take their time to feel my body all over.

No younger 20+ ones; these will mostly be trying to earn some money at the gay bars or enjoying cruising at Silom discos bars. There are a few couples in the groups.

I read through other forum that the express train ticket will be around 180 Bath so it isn't cheaper than taxi in your case ( 200+).

Any good food near Nana BTS you can share ?

Recently, I fell in love with Pad Thai :P. Anyone can advise where can I find a very good Pad Thai ? I tried at least 5 shops/restaurants this trip but it is always oily than my favourite shop in Singapore :(

One of my favourite shop is a Noodle shop at Sukhumvit Soi 26, u will need to stop at Phrom Phong BTS and take the exit to Soi 26. Just walk pass Soi 26/1 to reach Soi 26, and walk straight in. You will notice Angel Massage on your right, continue forward. Around 5mins of walk, you will notice the shop on your right, by the corner. It sells pork and fish ball noodles, very yummy! Ask for the fried fish skin as an appetizer and additional fishballs!

On normal occassion, I just dine in most of the food court where it is convenient with my shopping. They are VERY good enough for me :D

If for around BTS Nana, the best I can think of is Tony Romas... I heard it is co-owned by a Malaysian and Singaporean or something similar... I rarely eat around Nana.. except for supper...

For dinner meals, I often visit Lek Seafood at Chong Nongsi BTS, Somboon Seafood near Silom and RiverSide Seafood

FYO, it's not a hotel or a motel. It's a HOSTEL.

HOSTELS are LIKE THIS. It's small, services / facilities are minimal / communal.

If you don't like a hostel environment then dun book into one. It's like going to a homestay and asking why there is no rooftop pool

Well, first of all, I would like to thank everybody for their contribution to this thread. The information was very handy to me.

My first visit to BKK was five years ago and I never knew these places existed - you can imagine what kind of trip it was. Since then I have been back a few times and with the info on this forum I 'discovered' a lot of fun new places.

To add to the information already here, I thought I should mention my experience with transport. I travelled with a friend all over the place and on more than one occassion, we found that our combined train tickets away from the hotel cost more than the price of the cab ride back! Admittedly, it's only a few baht, but some people may be interested to know this.

So if you have a buddy with you, you may find it is actually cheaper to go by cab - airconditioned, no walking in the humidty. All good! :thumb:

Dear friend,

Thanks for your comments. But when I login to their website, they state very clearly it is a hotel. On the front of its building they also laid this sigboard brightly as Hotel. What I want to stress is if the management claimed that they are operating a hotel, and they charge hotel/motel rate, they should at least provide a decent value-for-money rooms for the customers. I recently booked another trip and the hotel is IBIS at Sathorn. The rate I paid is less than 800 bhat per night, with breakfast it is only additional 150 bhat.

The purpose of posting is to share with forumers so that they can make better judgement when they go to Bangkok, nothing illed-intention in nature.

I think because you expected too much for that 500 Bath hotel/hostel.

Silom is never quiet and it is so central for tourists then 500 Bath is considered very cheap already. Cheap then of course ...

Same price, or may be 600 Bath, you surely can find much better 3 star hotel but further from Central, I used to post Bangkok Inter Palace hotel.

With 800 Bath, you can stay in Unico hotel, much better, very quiet of course ... and buffet for 100 Bath/dinner, can you imagine ???

I never like Pinnacle Lumpini or Malaysia hotels, those are full of sperm smell of old farangs and money boys ... ok, it is walking distance to Babylon but

Hi I will be travelling to Thailand for Songkran on 8-Apr-10. Tentatively planning to go direct from BKK Airport to Pattaya, stay in Pattaya 8_14-April. Then will goto BKK from Pattaya on 14-Apr-10 and stay in BKK 14_19-April.

Wonder anyone will be in BKK between 8 - 19 April? May we can meet up for sauna or gay pubs in Patpong?

Does anyone know will there be normal bus transportation from Pattaya to BKK during Songkran?

Can recommend any clean and nice hotel in BKK Silom near the Boys Town?

Warning to all

today i was at babylon sauna. i went to a dark room and a small size Thai boy start to lick my nipples all over in the dark room. he then start to rub his body all over me but on the other hand i feel he is not erected at all. then 1-2 more people starts to touch on my body. The thai boy starts to moan and sound as if he was going to cum. his body was shaking and the moan was very loud. he was rubbing his dick on me while my hand feel it is soft. suddenly he gave a loud moan as if he had "cummed" however my instinct told me something is not correct. I feel my neck and my gold chain was gone. he was trying to go away but in the dark room there are many people. i grab hold of his hand and shouted loudly" why did you take my gold chain?" the crowd disperse immediately. he dropped my chain and ran off. The hook on the chain was damaged. i guess he was trying to pretend to be excited just to divert the attention. I have never encounter such a thing before and it happen in babylon in the day.

so dunt let yr head below manage over the one on top.

I was in Pattaya 8_13-April-10 and now in BKK. Thanks god everything is peaceful so far. Didn't see a "Red Shirt", but saw many hot thai guys in "Red" underwear in Boyz Town that made me horny  . Made friend to some hot thai guys in Pattaya. Cheonged NAB and Dave Men Club disco in Pattaya with my thai friends. The Red Label in thailand is cheaper. Cheonged Boyz Town, Jomtien Dongtan Gay Beach and Jomtien Complex. Fell Jomtien beach is better than Pattaya beach. Also made an ever first daring cheong to thai sauna in Pattaya  . Went to Sansuk Sauna. It is "Villa" concept. There are big open sky swimming pool & jacuzzy pool, cafe lounge, plenty of air-con rooms for fun, 2 sauna rooms, 2 steam rooms and dark room. Thai man massage service is also provided at a cost of 500THB. The entry cost to Sansuk Sauna is 180THB.

The past 2 days I had big water fight in Silom, Bkk till 2am. The thai civil defence sent in 3-4 fire engines and jet water was splashed onto crowd of HOT guys and ladies. It was amazing and full of funs. A big dance party on the Silom road. Ladyboys unhesistating to show off their beauty, some took off their T-shirt to expose their boobs.

Yesterday passed by Babylon Sauna, Bkk. The entry cost is 350THB and it is "Villa" concept too. May cheong Babylon someday later.

Need to go now. Hope you make friend to some thai in Bkk :D .

Thanks for relating the incident. You are lucky to have noticed the chain going missing - someone related that his chain was stolen, in the dark room in Babylon here on the forum before. He was not as lucky as you - he was groped in the dark room and when he got out of the dark room, noticed that his gold chain had been stolen but he had no idea by whom. So readers beware, if you are silly enough to wear any form of jewellery into a dark room or into any part of a sauna, be prepared to lose it. And for that matter, the sauna can be in Thailand, Singapore or Japan. Not much difference - if you give a thief an opportunity, he will use it.

I am in Babylon Sauna now. The steam room is fantastic, dark with long passage. Those with itchy hands must enter the steam room and feel free to grab a banana

Many angmo here and to my surprise many thai locals. Have seen a few thai eye candies.

Babylon is huge, trendy and hi-class. To be honest, after been to Thai sauna, I think our saunas in SG can't fight :(

Friday and weekend entry cost 260THB.

I have to go now. See can make friend or not. Wish me luck :thumb: Bye bye...

Last night was wonderful in Bkk. I cheonged all the way till 4:30am with my thai friends in a local club.

I also went to Prime Massage for "detoxification" :P But unfortunately an uncle masseur was assigned to me. Sianz all the way. :( The uncle saw me yummy and trying to molest my little bro during massage. But I refused to let him get my rifle.

So nothing happened during the massage. The massage was not good. Just felt his hands moving all over my body with little strength.

On the way out of Prime Massage, I saw an eye candy guy masseur. No luck. sighed... :(

Next time should just directly ask for a young masseur to serve me.

i m going there soon. mind tell us more what is the detoxification massage? is the prime massage aj place? & what about the pricing and location?

Prime Massage is located at Silom Soi 6. If I am not wrong I think the Thai Body Massage: 1hr 250THB, 2hrs 350THB. There are also various packages to choose. But I just can't remember all. I chose for body scrub 30min + aroma massage 1hr cost 600THB.

When I was there I did not see a lady masseur, so I think it is a male massage center. I think most masseurs provide "special" service there. You just need to ask him. I saw most masseurs are 35-40yo thai man. Unfortunately, my masseur was an uncle too. So I am not turned on. But on my way out of the massage center, I saw a really cute, young and gym goer type masseur  . I sighed... and told myself next time should just ask for young masseur directly and should not feel shy about asking that :D

Typically most gay thai massage cost 400THB + 500THB tip.

"Detoxification" means to help you PCC to release the toxic accumulated in your body

Was in Bkk from 16 - 19 Apr..... luckily things weren't that bad as compared to now.

Still sadly Central World all the way up to Siam Paragon and Discovery Centre was inaccessible.

Shopping Therapy only limited to MBK and Platinum which i was delighted to see Platinum selling more guys stuffs now as compared to 2 yrs ago where 98% were stuffs for gals.

Was heading out to Platinum from hotel and was waiting for a taxi when a taxi parked there with windows down and the driver shouted. 'u want taxi?' me and my frens were talking amongst ourselves when the driver stepped out of the taxi and approached us asking where we r heading. When he heard of our intended destination, he immediately said 'no no, there protest.....can't go'. We actually were there the day b4 and so I knew he was bluffing. Sure enuff we flagged down a passing cab and at Platinum, there was no protest or blockage of any sort. I believe the taxi driver had all intentions to scare us into believing and am sure he'll suggest another 'place' for us to shop which he can get to earn a commission.

I had a colleague who a few yrs back unfortunately fell into such 'traps' , she was with another lady fren and was staying at another hotel. I've stayed in that hotel b4 and noticed that there would be a few taxis parked there all the time. Whenever u walked out the doors of the hotel, they'll approach u and asked if u needed a taxi......which was what happened to my colleague......she told the driver they heading out for dinner but not sure where (her maiden trip to bkk). The 'helpful' driver naturally suggested a place and brought them there........all I can say is......her meal there is enuff for another bkk trip itself. sigh......

Such guises can happened anywhere so do be wary.

On a seprate note, this trip I went o both Chakran and Mania.....

Went to Chakran on a Friday evening......nude party at jacuzzi area........u have to leave your towel with an attendant who will pass u a number tag......and he'll keep your towel in a numbered bag......u return the tag to claim back your towel.....which is nice.

The jacuzzi area is also where the steam room, sauna, showering area is.......lotsa hot guys there, but as usual hot guys there have eyes on their forehead.......only a few guys took a dip in the jacuzzi (and I dun think there was any hanky panky - perhaps due to the fact that the jacuzzi is right in the middle and open for all to see) later I also heard complains that the jaccuzi pool water was freaking cold.(not sure if it's true).....steam room was huge and very very dark......there's one part which the floor was boiling hot and i scalded my feet.....

Not very happening there and so i proceeded to the cruizing areas with the rooms.........the rooms were in a sad state.....some can't lock, some were very cold.......i had to change rooms 3 times b4 finding a 'functioning' room with a local thai guy i cruised. Was told by my fren there midway, there was a scheduled live 'oral' show at poolside at Chakran by 2 guys......the 'actors' did the blowjob with condoms....perhaps a safesex demo show? haha . He also said that there was a bunch of china guys lying on the poolside lounge chair who thot the show was boring and decided to mimic the act and stole all the attention away from the 'actors' hahahaha.

Went to Mania on subsequent 2 nights......on Sat and Sun......only 160 baht for entrance......place is rather run down. Perhaps due to its' close proximity to Cali fitness gym at Silom, there were many many fit guys.......and many thai locals.........minimum ang mohs or pharangs (as i heard Mania is more for locals who are into locals........quite the opposite of Babylon which is reputed to be more for locals into ang mohs) .but then again, the rooms are again very run down......if u been to the local saunas in sg and u think their mattresses are bad, the mattresses at Mania is lots worse. But for 160 baht.....can't really complain......Nude night at Mania on Sunday for the cruising /maze area.........an attendant will be there to ensure u cruise towel-less but u just have to remember where u leave your towel.....many leave it by the stairs, some hang it or tie it to the staircase railings but I tell u, your towel will be missing eventually and u'll just have to pick from watever is there.

Hey everyone!

I'm not too sure how I found this forum nor am I sure what it is exactly about.. but so far so good! very juicy info!

I'm binging on info & venues for my forthcoming trip to Thailand next July.. I'm planning to stay at Ambassador hotel which should be in a good location from what I hear

I've been to Thailand 5 times but never actually went for sexual massages gogo bars etc

I wanna change that though! I've founds lots of info on massage places in Bangkok but I'm confused about a few things...

1) from all the reading i've done it seems the sexual masseurs will get you off.. what if i want to get them off instead??

2) what would be the average price for a couple hours with a guy you off to your hotel from a bar?

3) is it true in the Nana area there are available arab men?

I've always specialised in straight Arab guys (egyptians, moroccans, tunisians etc) and they will definitely not touch you though they will let you suck them and they will fxxk you.. I don't mind being done but my thing is doing the guys.

My only experiences with Thai boys are limited to volountary free sex..

Thanks for your kind help,

Era

Hi Era,

I stayed at the Ambassador but even though it was in quite a convenient location, I felt that I would have been better off staying closer to the red light district, Silom and Sathorn area. Have a read re some reviews of hotels done by other BW'ers for some of the other hotels. The Ambassador is in an area where there are lots of bars and pubs frequented by (straight) Europeans which equates to lots of bar girls, more expensive than normal food and shops. Have a look, it might suit you more than it suited me.

Have a read of the following blog - it is extremely rich in info on massage places.

Sorry, cant help you re Arabian guys as dont have any experience with them in BKK. Good luck and have a good holiday.

I was staying near Nana Station for my last trip in BKK. It is Arab area, I guess so, there are many straight Arabs staying there. In the evening, in front of some hotels, there are alot alot of prostitutes doing business there.

May be you can try  , who knows

Sometimes, the greatest journey is the distance between two people

Hi Era, to answer your questions...1) if you want to get the masseur "off" just tell him your wish before going to the massage room., don t be shy! You can be sure this would be nothing new for them. "Shamelesmack" is a very good source of information.2) If you take a guy from a bar expect to tip around 1500B...so called "Shorttime". Besides you have to pay 400B "off fee" to the bar. 3) "Soi Twilight " is the most expensive place in BKK. There are places, too where the boys are happy with 1000B. BTW Treat the boys with respect and dignity and a good laugh can be helpful at times, too. About Arabs: Try Gay Romeo or Fridae.com, many Arabs who visit BKK insert there. Good luck!!

Hello writer,

thanks for your reply! I've been reading shamelessmack for days.. the result is that I want to visit every damn venue and city he reviews lol

Still, I didn't find many answers to my questions as he seems to be very happy with the masseurs giving him a happy ending most of the time.. and he doesn't really get into the request/money aspects too often.. or hotels instructions for example.. do all hotels let boys in? do you have to tip a guard?

Funny story is that I just returned from 2 weeks in Phuket (not Patong though) and a Thai boy bribed his resort's guard with a beer to let me in lol

He was a regular guy (hot as heck) working for Air Asia..This is the only kind of experiences I've had in Thailand over the years..regular pick ups..

As for respect, I'm horribly shy at first so hardly the abusive misrespectful type.. I'm already having a hard time imagining myself walking into a gogo bar all on my own lol

I'm more of a kid (just turned 30 years old) so I'm not a daddy who does things mechanically lol

Besides, the sweetness of the Thai smiles has a very calming and relaxing effect on me..

As for Arabs, with 2 trips to Egypt, 2 to Morocco and 1 to Tunisia over the past year I've had my fix.. besides I will be spending some days in slutty Bahrain before flying to BKK so...

hi all. any1 stay at i-residence sathorn be4? how is the place? tot of choosing this hotel since its 3* & affordable.

Been there End Jan10, booked wrong I-Residence Sathorn as thought was at Silom, Opp The Heritage BKK (ChongNongSi BTS). Heavy Traffic in Peak Hours and 5Mins long walk to main road Sathorn, Near Spore Embassy.

Nice Hotel, hwvr encountered 3rd Kind at a Corner Room overlook the Entrance of the Hotel Rm 201. Fortunate only a nite stay as leaving next day for Korat

I-Residence Silom or The Heritage BKK is a better choice.
